We paid the bill totaling over $300. I was disgusted, went over to DSL ordered the part for $120.00 including tax and shipping it comes in tomorrow and will take me about 5 minutes to install., 3 screws and plug in. After being plugged in for 3 days, it never got cold and we were able to get it replaced by Whirlpool. After 6 months, our food began to thaw so I opened another support case. The Island Appliance Repair tech took it apart and determined that the entire refrigeration system needed to be replaced. While they were ordering the parts, I contacted Whirlpool again and they refused to replace the refrigerator because it was not a 'recurring issue'. While I have been battling with Whirlpool's "support" (which appears to be outsourced because I always have to tell them the brand of my refrigerator), Island Appliance Repair has been consistently proactive and extremely helpful. The moral of the story is this: DO NOT buy this refrigerator! But, if you have any appliance repair needs, please call Island Appliance Repair!
