Pastrami Reuben on cheddar jalapeño bagel

Food was ready really quickly. Both sandwiches were delicious - the Reuben would have been nice with more meat. Majority if not all of the flavors were still available which was great considering it was a couple hours before close. The location is small so I can imagine the crowdedness with the space.

Line out the door, we picked up a dozen bagels to try all the flavors. The jalapeño bagel is great! Did not try the Schmear so that will be on our list next time

Yum!! Came for breakfast this morning and was surprised the line was not longer. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel. Did scallion cream cheese instead of regular cheese and it was GOOD. they were out of cold brew but had all other drink options. I love these bagels and have to stop myself from coming every weekend! The shop was clean and had a great vibe.

Super cute inside! Small but it's a grab and go so it's perfect. Come get bagels without the line!

Several years ago, I had my first muffuletta at a sandwich shop in Florida and I thought it was OK, but nothing special. I did not order one from Weinbergers the first several visits because of this and all the other choices we had. My wife and I finally decided to order one to split. The first bite that we took we just looked at each other wide eyed in amazement and said OMG. The reason I decided to write this review is because my wife just texted me and said she is craving a muffuletta. We will probably head there this weekend. We love this place!

Make sure you're prepared when you walk up to the counter-- I thought I was until the dude started rattling off "wet" or "dry" and the list of toppings. I threw up my hands and said "I'm an amateur, this is my first time here!" He slowed it down and walked me through ordering, lol. I went with the Italian beef, dry with the juice on the side. So yummy! I love that it came with a handful of crinkle chips as well. If I was local I'd eat here all the time! The inside is small with a handful of tables and a few extra outside. It was pretty packed on a Friday afternoon!

My boyfriend loved the chop cheese 5/5 I was not a fan of the chicken Caesar wrap because the texture of the chicken is off. It was tough and chewy and made me lose my appetite completely. Aside from that aspect the actual taste of the Caesar salad was good. 3/5 My daughter had the same issue with the chicken sandwich, she wasn't a fan because of that. The fries are basic, some were crunchy with a soft inside and some were very hard. 2/5 I am not sure we will return as the food is basic for an expensive price. I would suggest they at least offer some type of combo option to include a side and drink.

I've been seeing tons of videos about how great their Chicken Caesar wrap is, so I finally went to check it out. Guess what? They were out of Caeser dressing. That's my luck. My fallback plan was to go with the Spicy Italian on the Striatta bone bread and it didn't disappoint. I went with the Large sandwich and it wad a monstrosity! I added their roasted jalepeno spread on one side and ancho chili mayo on the other to give it an extra kick. This sandwich lasted 2 meals! I picked up a small container of the chicken salad, and I wasn't impressed. It lacked flavor. Now, something that did have great flavor...Carrot Cake! There were so many desserts i wanted to try, but I didn't give into the fat kid inside me. The icing on the carrot cake was light and didn't over power the cake. It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.

Everything was fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I sadly have to agree with some of the other reviews about the customer service. There were two women working while we were there. The younger girl was sweet and friendly, but the older lady was quite rude and unpleasant. Seeing as I had been excited to visit for quite some time, it was disappointing and off-putting to be met with attitude/grumpiness from staff. Ultimately, I can look past it though, as the bread is worth it.
