Jonathan laid 1400sq ft of African Black Slate over my uneven cement floor and set the foundation for an amazing renovation. He and his crew were on time, worked hard, and easily adapted to the difficult driveway and terrain they had carry all the tiles thru. The project finished on time and is incredible. I hired Artisan Tile again a year later to tile my pool. But not just tile, because I was able to hire Jonathan to prep the pool for plastering and handle all the sub contractors needed for such a big project. Again Jonathan is easy to communicate with. He always has good ideas and methods to overcome obstacles. Jonathan and his crew are always conscientious of my home and property and keep everything organized and tidy. Jonathan also works with wood and understands electrics and plumbing etc. so he can prep, advise and ensure your overlapping projects and crew coordinate to accomplish the goal. I've had to work with at least 10 other contractors for various things and Jonathan is the only Keeper! I can not recommend this company enough. We installed an exotic hardwood floor 15 years ago when we moved into our home. As part of our…read morecurrent renovation, we extended the same wood flooring into the new kitchen. We hired an installer that was not able to work within our GC's schedule so we did not have him apply the finish. Instead, we chose another contractor to sand and finish the entire floor, old and new. Unfortunately, that did not go well. First, the staining was entirely wrong, so they had to sand a second time. Then, after they had sanded and applied a coat of finish, we could clearly see how poorly the sanding had turned out with ripples and sanding marks throughout that clearly showed in reflections on the finish. It was depressing. Through a friend, we found Rick at Creative Oak Hardwood Floors and I'm not exaggerating to say he and his crew saved our proverbial butts. Rick has been certified by the National Wood Flooring Association. We first offered to pay him to inspect the situation impartially but once he saw what we were dealing with, he was very empathetic and refused to take payment for the inspection. He was quite thorough and provided us with a report of what had been done incorrectly according to industry standards and best practices. We decided to cancel our contract with the previous finishers and hire Rick, who did an AMAZING job! They needed to sand the finish off once again, but this time it was smoooooth! Rick recommended different products for the stain and finish coats and the results are absolutely beautiful. I would recommend Rick for any type of wood flooring. Although his company name says "Oak", their skills are up to the challenge of any type of wood. Our floor is solid 3/4" thick x 3-1/4" wide Chilean Cherry (actual name Lenge) that has a beautiful grain and took the finish that Rick suggested extremely well, giving the wood depth and a rich golden hue that we are totally pleased with. Our floors went through two unnecessary sandings due to the work done previously, but Rick's crew sanded off only what was necessary and the result is outstanding. In addition, Rick's pricing was quite competitive with about six other flooring contractors we had interviewed along the way. After terrible experiences with two of those others, Rick saved the day. We have also seen floors at another home that he installed and/or finished with excellent results. I can't say enough about Creative Oak Hardwood Floors. I think for us they were an especially good find because of what we'd been through. PS: Rick is a super nice guy, helpful, and available when we needed him by phone, text, or email. I wish I could include before and after photos, but I don't see a way to do that.

My entire experience with Granite Store was easy and great from beginning to end. I did my research…read moreand got several quotes before I found them and working with Lillian was a delight. As I "hemmed" and "hawed" and got overwhelmed with decisions, Lillian calmly and politely kept touching base and working with me. In the end, I was able to get everything related to the counters booked and done with Lillian i.e. the counters, the plumbing, the sinks and fixtures). When it came to the install, both gentlemen were very professional. They showed up on time with the full quartz slab and cut and shaped it on the spot, which was awesome and fun to watch. The installation went very smoothly and I love the finished result. The guys work hard - they were at my house almost the entire day, then were headed out to another job at 5pm! Also, Granite Store is a full service kitchen and bath showroom which unfortunately, I found out about after I had already selected and partially paid for my new floors...my mistake because their prices were lower than what I paid - ARGH! They also do kitchen cabinets (I had mine painted, so didn't need this, but I'm sure they would have been competitive or beat the competition). Obviously I can't say enough about how easily this ONE piece of my remodel went (which I can not say that about most everything else...). You won't be disappointed - try them and see!
