Review: Jan 2026 The experience was everything I expected…read moreand more! I went to Alicia Keys Broadway Play "Hell's Kitchen." She is my childhood/ adulthood favorite. Of course the event was on one of the coldest night we experience this past Winter in STL. For fashion, I decided to ditch my bulky coat in the truck and take the lighter instead. Fortunately, I arrived early and was able to find street parking close by and didn't have to endure the bitter cold too long Design: The architectural designs are breathe taken! It's something about "antique designs that I am always fascinated with. Food: My friend & I decided to have dinner at the restaurant next door (don't remember the name). I wanted to grab a drink at the Fox, however didn't want to miss out on any of the play standing in long lines. Service: Everyone hustled to get in after going through the metal detector or being scanned by security. There were staff members present to guide you to your seat. Overall Experience: I truly enjoyed myself. I definitely will be back!

Artwork and decor is stunning! This is where you'll find many of your concessions stands as well as merchandise. If you're on the orchestra level, head straight to the back. Otherwise, take the elevator or stairs to the balcony. The rows are set steep, so watch your footing! The Curtain Call restaurant is a nice place to grab a bite before or after. Concessions inside are a bit expensive, to be expected. Bathrooms are located on most levels.

Parking is a little difficult due to a small lot, but I was able to snag street parking around the corner which worked out just fine. I sat in the front row and had a great view. The seats were pretty comfortable and the patrons were respectful apart for some errant ringtones throughout the show. I treated myself to a signature cocktail during intermission which was a little too sweet (and expensive at $13 + tip) but also flavorful and refreshing as a dessert type drink. For the 2025 season, they are offering a discount on tickets with the code Explore50, making tickets for any of their productions $50 (inclusive of service charges). Unless you're a student or senior, this is the best ticket price you can find. It also allows you to sit anywhere so treat yourself and sit in the front row to admire Mr. Darcy you can!

It was funny, dramatic and had such great music and learned a lot about Carole King. Seats were fantastic and the theater is such a great place. Only complaint is I bought a ticket package that was stated included pre show reception with "drinks". But the drinks were a coupon for a single coffee or soft drink, just thought it was a bit misleading.

My daughter dance with this company for several years before we found a different place. I'd…read moremention what we experienced while attending this studio for over 16+ hours a week over the course of 3 years with 2 students. When daughter hurt her foot, she was advised to wear a boot from ortho until day of show to rest her foot, she was yelled at for moving "too slowing" when marking in tech even though the doctor instructed her to take it easy and walk slowly to rest before recital. Charging extra for adult costumes are normal bc it's more expensive from vendors but I was charged $5 for all of the costumes when my dancer had many child XLs. When questioned, office manager said it's not very much money. But my child was in over 13 dances so it adds up. Rule is rule right? Technique is lacking for older more advanced children. The classes are merged or canceled due to lower numbers. No real substitute teaching staff, when someone is out, the replacement is not well versed in the style of dance or not qualified to teach at that caliber. Maybe it's different now bc they have better teachers. All kinds of food are allowed in the studio rooms only for pre pro children. No regards to allergies as those are the same floor dancers roll on for contemporary, stretching or conditioning. My dancer rolled over cheese and crumbs weekly. One particular night, my dancer's friend had a medium allergic reaction to tree nut found on the floor. They did not have Benadryl on hand, so mom had to rush over to administer meds. This dancer also stayed home for a few days bc the allergic reaction was intense but no studio follow up after the incident. Balanchine based conservatory ballet school only has 1 1 hour technique class a week. Seems they have changed it to 1.5 hours for 2 days now. Rep and company class does not replace technique. In these classes, they are learning new choreo. Also pointe is normally offered right after technique, last year it was after lyrical, which is an elective. Only 1 1 hour pointe class a week for a 12 year old is not enough for a conservatory based dance school. No viewing the entire year at studio, handbook said once a quarter, but it's since been removed. Spent entire year having only seen my dancer at paid events like the fox theater, Busch stadium, and ambush where tickets are pricy. Dancer enjoyed community outreach, when we first joined the studio, company members danced in front of nursing homes and local parades. Didn't happen at all last year. Why can't you see your kids dance in the studio? On website, it says, "Instructors hail from prominent companies such as Joffrey Ballet, ABT, SAB, Alabama Ballet, Big Muddy Dance Co, and Ballet 314", but bio of teachers doesn't have anyone who has danced at Joffrey Ballet, ABT, SAB or Alabama Ballet.

We appreciate the positive, Christian environment and the way they balance structure with encouragement. Our daughter feels comfortable and excited to attend, and it shows in her confidence. When I first got there I thought the vibe was going to a basic theater setup based on the older appearance on the outside of the building, but man was I blown away when I stepped foot in there! The marble and gold layout throughout the theater was placed perfectly in each designated spot. The layout of the theater was comfortable for me, but there may be difficulties for those with specific needs. Most of the seating is auditorium style seating, but there are about four booth box seating on each floor for wheelchair accessible options or those who are a bigger size. The rows were intentionally built to provide visibility from any row, and I was all the way in the Mezzanine row and I could see perfectly fine. They offer events and showings that would interest different types of people from popular musical events to comedy shows and ballets. The downside to the theater are the concession stands, all of the food and drinks were overly priced and offered limited items. Also, in my opinion, the theater needs better lighting in the isle rows and the entrances to prevent incidents. The entrances to the theater have uneven angles and I briefly lost my footing since I didn't see where the angle changed. Overall I had a great experience at the showing and saw some shows I'd love to go in the coming future.

The "Legends & Laughter Tour!" A great time was had. All the comedians were hilarious as to be expected. One disappointment though was the DJ! He didn't know how to read the room, when to cut the music on/off in between headliners or prior to the start of the show. Even the comedians got mad at him! I hope that DJ wasn't theirs and was "just a local" upcoming DJ. Parking: This visit, I opted for street parking although we had a nice little walk in the cold. There were some people on golf carts roaming around offering rides for a fee. You can also opt for VIP parking close to the venue. There are a few lots that offers this option, however they are very limited and must be reserved in advance. The last time I selected that option, It was difficult trying to find a spot & parking my oversized SUV. Food: Opted for drink only. All containers must be opened by workers (including beer in a can). Lines are usually long with limited options to choose from. Seating: Very comfortable, with a drink holder on the back of the seats. You get the seat you pay for. More $, closer to the front. I opted to save a few $ this round and selected back center. Recommendation: Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

Dance St. Louis really does an amazing job at curating their seasons. Usually there is something for everyone. This year boasts Dirty Dancing, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Tango Buenos Aires, ballet from the Aspen Santa Fe company, and Stomp, just to name a few. Next year is really going to be over-the-top, as they are planning on hosting Momix again and also the Nashville ballet collaborating with some St. Louis groups on Carmina Burana. I've been to performances of both, and they are really fabulous. I love the community feel of Dance St. Louis. They try to engage the audience; yesterday the dance company held a tango class in between their shows. It was really neat to see so many people...of all walks of life...wanting to participate! They do so much community outreach too...from dance classes to scholarships, such as the high schoolers they recognized yesterday. Prices are so reasonable, especially when all the seats are pretty good at the Touhill. They are still continuing on their yearly Spring to Dance Festival over Memorial Day weekend, which shows a conglomerate of dance companies all over the country...and tickets still cost between $10 to $20.
