Dandelion Chocolate is incredible. I have never had a bad thing from here, and I especially appreciate the collabs that allow for new experiences and playful discovery. Sophie at this location is a gem. Yes, she's knowledgeable, but more than that, she's genuinely kind and personable in a way that's increasingly rare. There's an intangible warmth to her that turns a quick visit into a moment worth remembering. All around fantastic experience today for my first stop at this location. One suggestion: I really wish they would offer frozen fruit smoothies here -maybe a super simplified version of their café offerings. It would do incredibly well. There's a clear market gap in the area with tons of foot traffic, and it would put something tangible in customers' hands to sip on while they walk around, keeping the unique chocolate experience that's offered at Dandelion at the forefront of the mind. Amazing chocolate shop. If you want a keepsake from San Francisco, visit one of their Dandelion Chocolate shops (sometimes you can also find select items in other stores). The first time I visited this location, they were not yet offering tastings, (and the gal behind the counter was not very friendly nor feel approachable). This visit however, they were super nice & friendly, and they had samples. We left with some chocolate bars which we knew exactly what they tasted like. Of course, if you can, visit their bigger location in the Mission, where they have food and beverages on the menu. But if you're in PacHeights area, stop in to taste and pick up some delicious chocolates. read more

And we're back with yet another Dandelion Chocolate review! While this location doesn't have the pastry and drink options that the others do, this one is still fantastic with all the chocolate bars, truffles, candies, and other chocolate goodies your heart desires. The customer service here is great! Every time I've been in the employees are warm and welcoming, and happy to talk about the different chocolates with you. Because this location is a little more quiet than the others, it's easier to get that one on one customer service experience. On my most recent visit they didn't have the chocolates out to taste as they usually do, but they were more than happy to give you samples, and even let us sample some of the products aside from the chocolate bars, which of course led to us leaving with more. While I typically stick to the bars and chocolate almonds, we were very excited to leave with a truffle collection this last time. We've only started making our way through the different flavors, but as always the chocolate is amazing and they have been a huge hit. read more

It's holiday season. Chocolate is a universal love language. You really can't go wrong here. Located in pac heights and other locations throughout SF like the mission, ferry building, and the marina. This is the second year I'm buying Christmas gifts from Dandelion. They have a lot of options from truffles to hot chocolate to chocolate bars. The quality is excellent. I also love that they wrap the chocolates for you! Makes it such an easy gift. This time of year it can be crowded so just know to be a little patient with check out. I went for the box of three hot chocolates, the fruit truffles, and a box of chocolates. Costs about $200 for my haul. It can be pricey but they are quality, local, and loved by the recipients. It's the holidays time to spread some cheer. You can also ask for samples on some of the chocolates if you haven't tried them before. read more

Hmmmm - not as great a location as the one on 16th from a site down and enjoy your coffee perspective, but the hot chocolate is still amazing. They do carry a variety of confectionery and items to go with your coffee - but the highlight is the chocolate. read more

It's a pop up store, so you can't expect much, but the brand itself was amazing! The hazelnut and Japanese citrus were truly unique and the best things there. The raspberry bonbon is also worth a try, but we didn't end up getting it. The guy was very nice and helpful; he even opened a new box of the Japanese citrus for us to try because there weren't any in the back! Although I assume best service is when it's not crowded and you're the only one there - we got lucky! It was a nice small store so it's easier to see their products on display. Definitely worth a stop! (Ps it's definitely on the pricier side but it's a good and delicious high quality product and great as a classy gift. The packaging is beautiful!) read more

If you enjoy good customer service, this isn't the place for you! I stepped in today to pick up a gift for a loved one. I've never purchased from Dandelion Chocolate and was excited to experience the store! The store is neatly kept, however as a first time shopper i definitely had plenty of questions. These questions remained unanswered as the two staff present were busy to address me. Curtly they said hello, and proceeded their conversation regarding the dangers of butter and salt. I left with a $110 box of candy that I regret purchasing. Will not be returning to purchase from this brand. read more

They have a lovely variety of chocolate made into different treats. The flavors are unique and packaging is cute. People are always so nice; the only negative would be that they don't have a sample to taste. They are a bit pricey but you purchase for gifts and special occasions. read more

4 stars only because they don't offer their incredible drink service, YET. I really had my heart set on a frozen hot chocolate. 5 stars for every thing else as it's Dandelion for crying out loud. You can never go wrong with chocolate for yourself or a gift for the craft chocolate lovers of the world. The attendant offered me a sample of a toffee I hadn't had before and that was awesome. I ended up buying that Black Sesame Toffee Brittle for myself, the big box of Toffee with Chocolate and Cacao nibs, a giant bag of Cacao nibs (because when you're a chocolate snob, quality and brand of even nibs matters;), and the Easter Egg special pralines as a gift since Easter was that coming weekend. While this shop is considerably smaller than the other locations, the chocolate offerings are there and that's what matters. I was told that they are working on the permits to sell drinks and pastries at this location. Fingers crossed that happens soon. Other favorites of mine here are the Single Origin Truffle Collection, the Hot chocolate mix and ALL of the chocolate bars. I'm so excited to have this location closer to me than the Mission locations, although my pocketbook and wasteline might not agree. Seriously though, Dandelion is a delectable treat, so treat yourself and get a gift for someone else while you're at it. read more

I'm so glad my friends and I stopped by the shop while we were walking on the street. Their chocolate products are AMAZING. You can tell how much they truly care about the quality and natural taste of their chocolates. I prefer dark chocolates over milk chocolates so this store hits the spot for me. They offer 75%, 85%, and 100% dark chocolate bars as well as alcohol infused chocolate, really unique hot chocolate mix, sesame chocolate brittle, chocolate covered almonds, and more. They were all so delicious. It is a bit on the pricey side but for the quality and taste, it's definitely worth it. They makes great gifts too! The store staffs (George Michael and lizette) were super friendly and offered us to try any of the chocolates without pressuring us to buy anything. read more

There are holiday gift boxes, printed dark chocolate truffles, lots of hot chocolate in beautiful glass cylinders and bamboo stoppers. The best is you get to taste before you buy. For someone who enjoys chocolate and knows dandelion but isn't full committed to dark chocolate yet, the tasting is helpful for me. This place is literally amazing!!! If you've always wanted to try one of those Italian hot chocolates that are super rich and creamy but you can't make it to Europe for any reason, fear no more because this place will serve you exactly that in a much cuter cup Just beware that if you're getting the big size, it'll be too much and you'll likely have to take it to go. A fun and unique setting! I love the warehouse industrial feel on the inside, and how you get to see them making chocolate in the factory! This feels like a luxe chocolate experience. We got the hot chocolate, the bundt-like cake and the s'mores dessert. This is definitely a high end chocolate experience for the mature palette. The hot chocolate was beautifully presented with a gorgeous fluffy marshmallow to add in. The taste is somewhat bitter but if you're anything like me you don't like things too sweet so it goes down very nicely and doesn't leave your stomach feeling too sugary. The s'mores dessert is also gorgeous, with a beautiful crumb cookie on the bottom topped with a freshly cooked marshmallow and chocolate. The Bundt wasn't as chocolately as I was expecting, but like the hot chocolate you don't feel like you've over done it with the sweets. Enjoy your time at dandelion! read more

It's a pop up store. There's not as much merchandise here compared to the store inside the Ferry Building. But I came in for 2 bars of their chocolate only. My fav is the Maya chocolate bar from Belize. I prefer the ones which are a tad sweet but not bitter. The other one I bought was Zorzal farms, near a bird sanctuary in Dominican Republic. Both $11. Pricey, yes. But good chocolate. I rarely eat Hershey's anymore. Too sweet and too emulsified. read more
