The Owner Tim is extremely customer friendly and the decorative boxes will lure you in to this magical chocolate shop in San Francisco. The Boxes Are Unique Keepsakes and the chocolates are a bonus on top op that. Like icing on the cake. Come by and you will know what I am talking about. Anna

Giving and receiving chocolates from here are really special. I splurge 3 times a year to feature these very special whimsical chocolatesat my parties . Bring back the Pink pigs please and the horses. The airplane is a fave too!

Knowledgeable staff, high quality products, and charming and international flair. What a fun place to visit that binds SF with euro flair.

Im a stickler for customer service and feeling welcome when I walk into an establishment for the first time. I saw this little place as I arrived to town and I wanted so much to see it and buy some Swiss Chocolates. So as soon as I walked in with a smile on my face, the person behind the counter walked away and looked at me and looked away and did not greet me, did not smile, did not ask if I needed help, did not address me for anything and let me just say I was the only person in that whole in the wall store. So I guess he did not want to sell anything or deal with anyone at that moment. So I took a moment to look at the display case, asked what time they close and then decided I wasn't going to give my money where I don't feel welcome. Swiss chocolate or not. Oh well.

So far I have tried Godiva, See's Candies, Joseph Schmidt, and exc... What happened was instead of checking in with Zara, I accidentally checked in with Teuscher Chocolate after that... I went out there just to check out that Chocolate store of Teuscher and to see how is the chocolate like... Now that I got a chance to visit this chocolate place so from there... I decided to buy myself a milk chocolate... After eating it all I can say is that the Teuscher Milk Chocolate Of Switzerland tasted really good!!! This was my 1st time going to this Teuscher chocolate store

We all know about those overpriced "boxed chocolates"..See's candies...Godiva...whatever. I don't want to burst anyones bubbles, but this is quite a different type of place. As a Swiss chocolate, Teuscher SF is a location that is one in a few in the US. I'm super glad we have one. Top favorites/popular are the Champagne truffles and orange slices. Might I suggest trying something new. Just saying "I don't like that" even though you haven't experienced that flavor doesn't make ANY sense. 5 star is an understatement for a chocolate store like this. Quality/taste is unique here. The service was wonderful. The employee was extremely helpful and was descriptive with all the products.

We originally went to the location near Union Square, thinking we'd be able to grab pastries and hot chocolate, only to realize it's primarily a retail shop with chocolate bars and merchandise. We ended up making our way to the Valencia Street location, and I'm so glad we did. We learned that it used to be the original factory before they outgrew the space. Production has since moved a few blocks away, and now this location offers classes, a café, and plenty of chocolate treats. While we were there, a chocolate-making class was in session, and it was fun to watch part of it. The instructor even came over to chat with us and answer a few questions, which was such a nice personal touch. We ordered the brownie bite flight along with a hot chocolate, and both were fantastic. The brownie flight was rich, flavorful, and a fun way to sample different chocolates. The hot chocolate came with a tiny cookie that was absolutely delicious. At first, we were a little disappointed because we thought our hot chocolate was supposed to come with a marshmallow and didn't see one. When we mentioned it, the instructor smiled and showed us a toppings station we had completely missed. There were homemade marshmallows, flavored sugar cubes, and other little extras you could add yourself. He even encouraged us to take a few extra marshmallows, and they were some of the best I've ever had. One thing to know before you go is that Dandelion Chocolate focuses on high-quality chocolate that isn't overly sweet. If you're expecting the sugary milk chocolate flavor of a candy bar, this is a different experience. The chocolate has a richer, more complex flavor, and we really enjoyed trying something different. Between the friendly staff, delicious treats, and unique experience, I'd definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary--just make sure you head to the café location if you're looking for food and drinks!

I really like that you can choose exactly how many of each flavor you want in your box. I didn't realize that before, but it's a great option because you could literally get one of everything if you wanted to try them all. I chose orange, citron/lemon, caramel, earl grey, espresso, raspberry, and hazelnut. There was also a vegan raspberry option since the regular raspberry had sold out for the day, and honestly you couldn't tell the difference. It was delicious. I also tried the lemon in store, and the raspberry was my favorite. One small thing is that once they're bagged up, it can be a little hard to tell which flavor is which since they look pretty similar on the outside. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind if you're trying to remember what's what. The owner mentioned he's had the shop for 30 years, which you can feel when you're in there. He took the time to neatly tie up the box and even gave me two complimentary pieces. The shop itself is tiny and charming with a good variety of flavors. A friend of mine has been coming here since childhood, and now I understand the hype. I'll definitely be back.

One of these days, I will try one of the boxed chocolates they have. The person who helped me was super nice and gave me an honest opinion of the desserts on display. I was able to easily share my fears and thoughts. It was nice to be able to talk to someone about the items and understand what I was explaining. It wasn't too busy for a Thursday so maybe that's why he was able to take the time. All of the pastries I tried were beautiful, delicate, and as tasty as the display. 1. Peanut butter bar : I wasn't sure what to expect with this. It reminded me of a candy bar but 10xs better. The creamy chocolate and caramel with the crunch from the bits of nuts were perfect. It is a little rich. I wish I had a nice glass of milk or coffee to complete it. 2. Dandelion chocolate chip cookie : Nice buttery cookie that had a perfect crunch to it. It holds up perfect and it has perfect balance of chocolate. This is something my friend would love because she loves chocolate chip cookies but it didn't have too much if that makes sense. 3. Double chocolate cookie : This was chocolatey like he had explained but it didn't have the strong dark chocolate taste at the end. Personally, I think I prefer the chocolate chip cookie. 4. S'more : This by far was my favorite and I did not share. He had grabbed a handheld torch to roast the marshallow. What came out was perfection and it made the ride home in one piece. It tasted just like a s'more you would make when you're camping. It was fresh and marshmallow gooeyness that makes a delightful mess with every bite. I highly recommend this one if you love smores. Items were reasonably priced and each one was delicious. I highly recommend it for everyone to try.

I'd driven past the Dandelion factory and wanted to experience a true San Francisco treat! I ended up ordering a box of dark chocolate brittle ($60 for a large box), not cheap but definitely high quality and locally made. My colleagues in the office LOVED it; people came into my office just to talk about it and some of them brought it up to me days later. I'd never had brittle like it... it was a thin layer of crunchy, flaky toffee sandwiched between coatings of the richest, velvetiest dark chocolate. Even though I meant for this to be a gift, I snagged a few pieces for myself for the drive home. I didn't know how legendary their hot chocolate was until reading these reviews, so now I have another good reason to go back!
