This sweet treat place is in the Yes Plaza in Rowland Heights. Was able to find parking up front but also parking available in the shopping center. It's super clean inside. Walked in and the workers were friendly and greeted us immediately. They have fridges with assorted drinks and small cartons of their yummy flavors! We tried a scoop of the Vietnamese coffee and the mango sticky rice shake! Both were delicious!! The ice cream's texture was perfect and the flavor tasty! Not too strong, just enough! The mango sticky rice shake has mango ice cream and coconut ice cream, my two favorites and it was creamy and so good!! I don't think they have bathrooms. A couple tables for seating. Will definitely be back to try other flavors!!!
SUCH GOOD THINGS TO SAY! Staff - so kind right away, offered samples to make sure my kids liked the flavors they picked. Very small interior -but, they utilized it well! Ice cream flavors were SO GOOD. The animal designs, too cute! From start to finish it was a great experience! definitely stop in & get a scoop... or a pint! Honey Lavender 10/10 Ube Biscoff crumble 9/10 Kookie Cookie Monster 9/10 Mint chocolate chip 7/10 (for me - but 9/10 for my husband lol) Vietnamese coffee 7/10, really good- super strong coffee flavor! Just not as fun as the other mentioned above lol. Would get all of these again, can't wait to try others!
Dang Good Ice Cream definitely lives up to its name! The ice cream was incredibly creamy, flavorful, and tasted fresh. There were plenty of delicious flavors to choose from, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The shop was clean with a great atmosphere, making it a fun place to stop for a treat. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing ice cream!
I'm a fan of Dang Good Ice Cream after our first visit. My wife and I decided to come by after having dinner at Sushi Rev. We came in less than an hour before closing and staff was very kind and welcoming. They offer many flavors to choose from and for those with dairy allergies they have NON-Diary flavors as well. Huge positive! The shop is small and has limited tables inside the business. They is also no bathroom just an FYI. This shop is cool. They have different cone flavors. They have ice cream nachos and ice cream sandwiches on the menu too. What caught my eye was the Animal Cone Creations. You could choose from a Teddy Bear, Pig, Panda, Bunny, Koala, Kitty, Baby Chick or Puppy. I opted for the Teddy Bear with the Salted Caramel scoop. My cone creation came out great! It brought a smile to my face and made me happy. :D The staff did a good job. The salted caramel was delicious. My wife's non-diary strawberry was pleasant as she enjoyed her scoop. I savored every bite of the cone creation. With the number of flavors offered here I do want to come back. I'd probably get another cone creation because it made the experience memorable for me. After a delicious dinner at YFG Malatang located within Yes Plaza in Rowland Heights, I had to complement it with dessert. I looked and looked. Found it in the same Yes Plaza. I want me some handcrafted Dang Good Ice Cream (DGIC)! Highly recommend this fun and colorful ice cream shop! It's not very big, but does have a few tables and chairs inside. And talk about worldly Asian inspired unique and deep flavors. They are definitely up my alley... Dang Good Durian is my top choice because I love the stinkiest king of fruits in the world! Not stinky to me though... it's pleasantly aromatic to my nose. My favorite exotic fruit. Black Sesame comes in 2nd place... I can actually taste the black sesame... good job! If I had to pick #3, it would be Uber Ube... very rich and smooth... nice! An honorable flavor would be Sassy Soursop. Top 3 picks are based on 10 free samples that I got. Thanks for the samples! There are more flavors for me to try for sure. I want to try them all. They also have traditional flavors like Velvety Vanilla, Intensely Chocolate, and Sumptous Strawberry and non-dairy options. Love the cute descriptive ice cream names! Super nice young lady staff provided great service and running the shop like an oiled machine. Thank you and well done, Katrina! I got a double scoop with durian and soursop for $8.25. Big scoops, too. I ate it all here. As for to-go, I got one pint of each of these flavors... durian, black sesame, and ube. Each pre-packaged pint was $10. They didn't have the pre-packaged durian so I paid an extra dollar to get the fresh packaged for $11. No biggie! With a purchase of 3 pints, I got one free insulated bag. Thanks! One small gripe, a couple of the pints were short of a quarter of an inch of ice cream from the top. I'm paying for one pint, I should get the full one pint. Hence, 4 stars! For the ice cream connoisseurs, Dang Good Ice Cream is ready to serve you some dang good ice cream! Come and get them!! I'll be back myself for more DGIC and maybe even try one of their ice cream floats or milkshakes. Btw, NO CASH ACCEPTED! Bring your plastic... credit or debit card. Plenty of free parking. Came by after dinner and always wanted to try this place. They offer samples and we ended up going with lavender honey and avocado honey. Both were creamy and sweet. I wish the lavender honey had more lavender flavor but overall still good. The service was good. I wish the menu font was a little bigger so it's easier to read!

I enjoyed biting into the chunks of fresh strawberries in my scoop. I believe they use a coconut base, at least that's what it tasted like to me. This was a perfect dessert after dinner. My husband ordered the animal creation with a scoop of salted caramel. It was very cute! I could see why people would go for this option. I could tell he enjoyed it because he finished his ice cream before I did. The inside is small with limited seating. It's good for small groups. There is parking right in the front and it is also shared with the other businesses in the plaza. The staff member that helped us was also very nice. We would come back.
Came around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was full inside with more people coming after I ordered! Cashier was sweet, worked hard and gave her opinion on what she likes! Love the option to decorate ice cream as animals, so good to entertain kids! I opted for the cherry chocolate flavor which very much resembles the Ben and Jerry cherry Garcia. Giving 4 star bc I wish they had the tarimisu flavor which they discontinued! They do have other flavors that most ice cream places don't so that is a +! Also love how they have parking but it gets full fast!!
This place has a lot of unique flavors that I've never seen before. My bf got the cookie butter ice cream w/matcha cone, which was so yummy that I decided to stand back in line and try the Vietnamese ice cream with the matcha cone. I definitely like the cookie butter flavor more and should've stuck to the regular waffle cone because the matcha cone didn't really taste like matcha. You're also able to sample the flavors! So I sampled the durian flavor, which was pretty good! They have prepackaged pints for $10 or you could do a pint of any flavor for $11! The service there was very welcoming! I would definitely come back to try the other flavors if I were ever in the area again.

The Dang family started by selling small-batches of rich chocolate ice cream to their neighbors and eventually opened this shop. I'm so glad I stopped by to see what the hype is all about. This little shop has original and creative flavors, plus a cute way of preparing the cones and cups. I'm a believer that ice cream is a good choice for dessert for all ages. After seeing the character designs, I felt like a kid again and promptly ordered a "Kitty" sugar cone with Peach Cobbler ice cream and a Waffle Cone with Mango Sticky Rice flavor. Both were sooooo creamy, delicious and finger-licking good. Popular flavors are: Guava Cheesecake, Kooky Monster, Lemon, Matcha Green Tea, Salted Caramel, and Vietnamese Coffee. If you are on a dairy-free diet, three flavors are available: Strawberry, Chocolate and Mango. This is a great place! When we walked in, the store wasn't too crowded and the workers were friendly. The atmosphere was calming, and the store wasn't disorganized or chaotic. I was so impressed by the selection of flavors that were available. From mango sticky rice to durian, there were so many flavors I usually don't see in most shops. Additionally, I saw these cute animal ice creams where you choose a flavor and an animal. So cute! I opted to get a teddy bear and mint chocolate ice cream. I got the split scoop ($6.75) for one scoop amount of two flavors. The soursap is good sour flavor, and the brown sugar boba has good chewiness of boba in the ice cream. I like that they all these exotic fruit flavors. Very unique spot to get unique flavors of ice creams. I went on a Thursday evening and the service was nice and friendly. The cashier let us try different flavors before deciding on getting the whole scoops. read more

The ice cream flavors are unique. I tried the Kooky monster, tiramisu, sour sop, avocado honey, and black sesame. Most of them are a bit too sweet to my Asian tastebuds IMO, avocado honey is a bit less sweet but if you want it just right, then try black sesame. My hapa child loves the kooky monster flavor though. She said it's the best ever! This girl had tried Cookie Monster ice cream from other places; she's a cookie monster ice cream connoisseur. The service is good, the ice cream shop is a tad too small though only three tables. The staff is super nice!!! I dropped my ice cream while trying to take a pic really wanted to share my joy and got distracted and she gave me a new one . Now I can go home and rest with something yummy in my tummy. read more

Craving ice cream. Wanted something other than your Baskin Robins that you see everywhere. Found this place. The inside is small with few seating, but it's clean and cute. There's a variety of flavors, both unique and your typical ones. They have a variety of cone flavored options too. They also have a fridge with pints of ice cream you can take home. The girl at the register was friendly. My husband got a scoop of Ube in a cup (not pictured). I tried it and thought it was creamy and had the right amount of sweetness. I got the Puppy: candied eyes and chocolate nose and ears. You can choose any flavor. I chose dulce de leche with a matcha cone. It was delicious. A clean and cute spot. For being made in house the prices are reasonable as well. I liked the variety of flavors they carried as well. Ice cream is good the texture is one of the best. I got the honey lavender and the lavender flavor is the perfect amount. I came in around 6pm Monday June 1st and was rlly disappointed by the customer service however. The girl did not have a smile on her face and wasn't very willing to answer questions we had regarding the flavors. We were very nice but didn't get any response from her in return. Only when the manager stepped out from the back did her demeanor change slightly. I'll return but hoping to see a new face serving me.. read more

The logo is unassuming. The selection of flavors are unique. The ice cream was very good! Vietnamese coffee and black sesame flavors. Very, very good. Creamy, sticky, doesn't melt easy, flavors are not too strong, not too sweet. We got the 2 scoop, came with a little wafer on the side. My toddler likes it. You can also pay a little more and get an entire pint. There are a few seats inside to enjoy your ice cream. There is like 1 staff. If people ahead of you only order ice cream, that's great, if they order smoothie or boba, you'll have to wait! Parking is separate from Yes Plaza, so not too crazy. Next to the bank. read more

I stopped by this place 2x this past weekend! I would pass by here but never had the opportunity to try it out until now - and I am glad to stop by! By far one of my favorite ice cream places! Tons of unique flavors to try out! Friday, 08/15/25 with my boyfriend: - 1 single scoop cup of matcha = $5.25 - 1 cake cone ($0.75) of horchata = $6 TOTAL = $11.25 *********************** Saturday, 08/16/25 with my parents: -- 1 double scoop cup of soursop and non-dairy mango = $8 TOTAL = $8 My mom really liked the soursop! It was really dang good! We were craving dessert after Malatang dinner, and hubby wanted to try Dang Good Ice Cream. It's a cute little place, but they have many interesting and creative ice cream options. We were tempted to try their Dang Good Nachos. You can pick two of your favorite flavors and a sweet sauce for dipping, a crunchy topping, and they also have a few pieces of waffle cones for scooping! We chose the best sellers of Kookie Monster and Dang Good Durian flavors, and picked Oreo crumbs, mini marshmallows as toppings, with strawberry drizzle. The presentation was interesting and cool, and it was served on a tray. I could not eat the Durian flavor, but my hubby liked it. The Cookie Monster was delicious, and it made my tongue blue. I wanna try their Ube and Matcha green tea flavors next time. read more
Came here on Tuesday around 4 PM, and there was no line. It wasn't that obvious to us, but you're able to sample the flavors there. We sure did and were so grateful because they had a variety of strong and unique flavors to choose from. We ended up getting the Ube and Vietnamese Coffee. Both were delicious, and the flavors definitely exceeded our expectations. There were some downsides, though. I didn't like how quickly the ice cream melted and how inconsistent the scoops were. It felt like the single scoop that everyone posted about was very similar to the double scoop we had, but just with a tad more and with two different flavors. Honestly, I think I would just get a pint next time since it's a better deal. Parking was easy when we went, but it can vary since it's in the same plaza as Banana Bay and is next to Starbucks. I came here during their one year anniversary to get the bogo deal. Though for that one scoop it was like $5.95. I guess that's the new normal. I tried several items before ordering my flavor of choice. Service was good and the place was pretty small. I don't think it's going to do well in the location it's at. The name Dang Good Ice Cream definitely caught our attention and the ice cream lives up to it. They offer a variety of unique ice cream flavors, many of which I've never seen at other ice cream shops. What I really like is that they feature a lot of Asian-inspired flavors like durian, lychee, sesame, vietnamese coffee, and ube! Other than ice cream, they also have milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and teas on their menu but I usually prefer just a simple scoop of ice cream. The shop itself is pretty small, but there are a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. The staff is super friendly and more than happy to offer samples of any flavor you'd like to try. I sampled the durian, ube, and honey lavender before going with a scoop of Kookie monster and ube! All their ice creams come with a wafer which pairs well with the ice cream. If you like cookies and cream, Kookie Monster is a good choice, but I liked the ube the most. It had a strong ube flavor and a bright purple color. I didn't get the durian, but one of my relatives did and it was really good if you're into durian. It was so creamy and tastes exactly like the fruit! Their ice cream is perfect for a hot day, and I would love to come back and try more. read more
I love ice cream shops with unique flavors of ice cream and this place had a bunch of flavors that you would not usually find. You can get shakes, scoops and ice cream cones as well. It's always hard for me to pass on Nutella but I saw they had Vietnamese Coffee flavor so I had tried that along with Coconut because those two usually go great together. I even got to taste some of their Salted Caramel. The Vietnamese Coffee was my favorite out of them all. The ice cream itself has a ver nice creamy texture to it and I loved the bitterness of it. 4 stars for the variety of unique flavors for sure. There is some seating inside but if you want to take some home they also sell pints. read more
