The store has totally changed my views on locally owned shops. Prices are actually not higher than the mall (Nordstrom, Macy's, etc.), the staff are actually kind and helpful, and there is a cute dog hanging out and wagging its tail! I had a great experience getting a rare item in my size at a lower price than expected, with smiles and kindness through the end of the transaction. Totally worth it, and definitely where I'll be heading from now on!

For those who don't know, Sierra is part of the TJX companies (others include Tj maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods), so you better believe they have sweet deals. Plus, it just feels like the most high-end version of all those stores. So big, open and clean. Very well organized. And they pretty much have something in every category: name-brand outdoor gear, apparel, footwear, home goods, kids items, unique gifts and more. The store--not surprisingly, given its newness--is quite clean and more impressively, is very orderly. One of my pet peeves of the TJX Co stores is that racks are often a shitshow of mismatched hangers and tags, which I never understood: If the hanger tag doesn't match the item, I'm not going to find what I want and I'm going to give up. Who does that benefit? I didn't have that issue here, but sadly did not find anything I needed/wanted in terms of clothing this time around. Checkout was a breeze and the cashier was very engaging, just wish I could say that for the rest of the staff that walked around the store like I was starring in my own personal version of "The Sixth Sense," since they didn't interact with me because I was apparently dead and just didn't know it yet.

I am writing to express my frustration with how my wife and I were treated during our visit on June…read more6, 2026. My wife has a serious back condition and lives with a disability. She also had her medical task-trained service dog with her at the time. We are not new customers--your staff has seen us in the store multiple times before, both with and without the service dog--so there should already be awareness of her condition. When we arrived, there were four power scooters available, and we asked to borrow one, as we have done many times in the past without any issue. However, we were stopped by an employee named Neil, and my wife was told she could not use a scooter--even after explaining that she has a metal rod affecting her spine and was in pain. We were then directed to Kristin near the entrance. After waiting several minutes, she called a manager but largely ignored what I was explaining about my wife's condition. Despite clearly communicating the situation--and despite your staff being familiar with us--we were denied use of a scooter and told they needed to keep all four available for other customers. I even offered to leave my driver's license as collateral, but that was dismissed without any consideration. Frustrated and disappointed, we left the store. Afterward, we called and spoke with Elizabeth, who was far more understanding and willing to help--something the in-store staff did not offer at all. We have always borrowed carts from your store without issue, so this experience was both confusing and upsetting. The lack of empathy, consistency, and willingness to accommodate someone with a known disability is unacceptable. I was fully intending to make a purchase during that visit, but instead, we left feeling disrespected and overlooked. This situation could have been handled very differently with even a small amount of understanding and basic customer care. I hope this is addressed so that no other customer--especially someone with a disability--is treated this way. Very disappointed,

The Gurnee location Bass Pro Shop has a good selection of sporting clothes and many unique items…read more We were greeted very nicely at the entrance by Bob. They have a shooting range as well as the marine aquarium with fish species you'd find in the area lakes. I noticed that depending on where in the country you visit one of their shops, there's always items that are exclusive to just that state. In my own opinion, sale prices aren't really a good deal to be found. They don't mark items down much.
