I researched the local areas for orthodontists and spoke with a a number of them before choosing Dr. Flores for my daughter's braces. I wanted to go with an in network orthodontist and his office had the most affordable treatment plans out of all the in-network practices. My initial consultation was clear, detailed and his treatment plan was in line with other orthodontist consultations. Our appointments were easily scheduled and Ruby was such a pleasure to interact with. Dr. Flores was wonderful in keeping me regularly apprised of my daughter's treatments. She had such a smooth and pleasant time with zero difficulties throughout the 24 months. Her smile is lovely and she's very happy and so am I. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Flores to friends and family. I'm not sure if Dr. Flores is the only orthodontist in Fallbrook, but his office acts as if they are. Our children have had a total of 7 sets of braces, Dr. Flores office was by far the least professionally courteous ortho (or any other medical) office we've encountered. I could not wait for my sons treatment to be over with this office, would not make the same mistake again. In order to avoid Dr. Flores office staff I happily drove from Fallbrook to Carlsbad for every appointment of our younger sons orthodontic treatment. Teeth correction turned out fine, but in my opinion just not worth the headache of the office staffers. read more

Just feel like I have to leave a review because Dr. Flores deserves 5 stars! It's been a long time since I saw Dr. Flores (probably early 2000's) when I was a teen. Well, now I'm 32 and I got my braces off at 17 after spending 3 years going to Dr. Flores' office. Well, I have now moved to Portland​ and looking for an orthodontist up here. Why? Unfortunately, I was a stubborn teenager and didn't really follow through with wearing my retainer, and completely disappeared​ off the map even though they asked me to follow up with my visits post-braces. Lesson to be learned here, follow through and wear your retainer! I'm paying the price now. I have to have a bottom tooth fixed that has started to shift. HOWEVER! My point for writing this review is that I've been shopping around seeing orthos up here in Portland and I've had at least a couple of them (and a dentist) comment on the stellar job my previous orthodontist did (Dr Flores). They keep referencing my bite, and how I have perfect teeth and a perfect bite (except for that one bottom tooth that started to shift!). After having a third ortho comment on this perfect bite, and a well respected one out here, I have decided to write this review 15 years later. Dr. Flores, I remember, was a perfectionist, to the point I was so frustrated as a teen to have to wear braces for the length of time I did. This is probably why I ran the other way once I was done with my braces. Big Mistake. Point is, you are getting one of the best orthodontists out there, if not, the best. He knows what he's doing. He also worked on another family member of mine and she also has a stellar smile 15 years later because she was responsible and wore her retainer. Had an appt in the San Marcos office. No one greeted us and eventually the receptionist told us we had the date wrong (We didn't). Told us we "could wait but who knows how long it'll be". Very rude. Place is outdated (70s) and not very clean. We will find another Ortho with a more hospitable environment. Braces aren't cheap. If I'm going to spend $8-10k on braces you can at least smile and greet me when I walk in the door. And don't blame me when you mistyped our appointment. I would recommend Dr.Flores if you want precision orthodontics and beautiful results. He is a perfectionist and will make tiny adjustments and keep you frustrated because of how long it takes but OMG the end result is well worth waiting for. We went to Daniel Flores after beginning treatment at another place but as soon as Dr.Flores took over the job was handled with extreme care and such a drastic improvement in my daughters smile. Dr. Flores did the final removal of braces himself and then asked if he should smooth out the sharp edges of the natural teeth. I said yes and he shaped each tooth with such precise appearance and shape. After that the office polished and cleaned my daughters teeth. And fit her for her retainer. I have never felt happier about an investment I've made than the investment in my daughters smile. He also has two locations and they are flexible and professional. Office always clean.! My daughter needed braces and we were referred to Dr. Flores by our dentist Dr. Carlson in Bonsall. We made the appointment and were treated kindly and received a through exam with X-rays and explanation of treatment. We have now completed 2 phases of treatment and the final results are amazing, my daughters smile is beautiful!!!! She is supposed to wear a retainer (not sure if she is??). Side note: We did not have dental insurance and Dr. Flores worked out a payment plan that worked within our budget. Would highly recommend Dr. Flores and his wonderful staff. read more

My kids originally started with dr rez who since sold his practice to dr flores. These people care more about the money then the patient. They were already paid out 2,700.00 by my insurance but still are trying to find ways to make me pay more. The office manager liz is rude and completely uncaring. I know have to find a new ortho to finish out my kids treatment and pay out of my own pocket when they have been paid almost 10k from ins for 3 kids. I do not recommend this practice to anyone!! read more

I just wish that they didn't have so many clients so they really knew you --they do their best to keep it personal by taking notes when you come in and asking you about them on your next visit. When getting quotes, my wife felt comfortable with this office immediately; that comfort only increased for the entire family over time. We became friends with the staff and our kids never dreaded their appointments. We never doubted Dr. Flores' skills and recommendations and, most important, the results were excellent. The office is comfortable, the staff friendly and everyone operates with utmost professionalism. The cost of services and payment terms were fair and manageable. The reason it got 2 stars is due to the fact that Lynn was pleasant. I cannot respect businesses where you make an appointment and they keep you waiting 20+ minutes after the scheduled appointment. I had an initial consultation at 4:30 for my daughter. She needs braces as we've been told by her dentist. We are considering our options as we don't have dental insurance. So, I took the 4:30 appt because my other child has gymnastics until 5. I was told the appt would run between 30-40 min. I thought that would be ok in terms of being there to pick my daughter up from the gym. I got there with plenty of time to fill out the paperwork and such. We got into the 2nd room at 4:35 and were told the Dr would be in shortly. I reminded her that I had an appt at 4:30 and I have another child to pick up. When 4:50 came around, I knew the appointment would take an additional 1/2 hr so I chose to leave. Foolish on their part as we have no dental insurance and we have to spend our cash somewhere! It won't be with Dr. Flores. read more

I am not a patient of Dr Flores I had a real problem with a permanent retainer over the holiday weekend which would have ruined my weekend. My ortho and dentist were both closed as was Dr Flores office, but I was in Fallbrook, in pain, so I tried knocking on the door. fortunately there was someone there answering phones (Lisa). She was a lifesaver, she helped alleviate my problem and couldn't have been nicer. I would recommend this Dr to anyone living near Fallbrook. read more
