My mother is in Memory Care and really overdue for dental work since Covid hit . She's compromised with Dementia and suffered fractured arms recently from falling so she hasn't had the strength to brush her teeth . My mother got a full set of X-rays via a portable handheld device , the images pop up on their laptop . She got a full cleaning , and 2 Crowns due to badly decayed teeth . My mother was comfortable in her bed the whole time , the procedure was gentle , compassionate and knowledgeable . I felt very comfortable using Dr Caputo in spite of the fact Mom had the same dentist she used for the last 30 years . It just wasn't possible to take her to him with her condition. To my surprise, Dr. Wallace did a thorough exam and explained that, in his opinion, the tooth wasn't the problem at all. He believed the pain was actually being referred from a severe sinus issue. What a relief! It may sound surprising, but it made perfect sense once he explained it--and it was wonderful news to hear. I truly appreciate the honesty, professionalism, and conservative approach. Rather than recommending unnecessary dental work, Dr. Wallace took the time to find the actual source of the problem. I can't recommend Dr. Wallace and his entire team highly enough. I may have blissfully ignored my teeth forever, but I had a crown come off and needed to get it fixed, so I reluctantly went and found a dentist through my Healthcare provider. Thankfully, I ended up in a chair at Ocean View. From the moment I walked in the staff was personable and friendly. The office itself has esthetics to match - everything is bright and inviting. I was a new patient but you wouldn't have known that by the warm, personal greeting and conversation. They listened to my past horror stories and empathized fully, and I could tell they actually cared. They truly wanted to make this experience a better one. My initial cleaning was quick, painless, and thorough. I was back in 2 days to see them again for the crown - need to emphasize that I actually came back... quickly... to a dentist! Again, quick and painless! Dr. Wallace is incredibly smart, kind, and patient, as is the rest of his team. They walked me through every step, explained what they were doing as they were doing it, and over all just put this nervous wreck at ease! (Not an easy task!) I have a relatively long list of items I still need to do to get my teeth back to 100%, but I am supremely confident and trusting that Dr. Wallace and his team are the ones to help me get there.

She's a good communicator and cares that the patient understands the available procedures. I was never rushed and had plenty of time to decide if I liked the cosmetic work. No message is on the front door, website, voicemail or yelp states they are closed for lunch. I showed up 10 min early for a 2 pm appt and couldn't get in. I waited and door was unlocked at 2 pm. I suggested they post a notice on the door and website. I was disrespectfully informed that I should know they are closed. I have been a client for about 10 years. the desk staff had no empathy for the confusion caused by them. I made the appt this morning. On top of this, I came in to have a tooth cap recemented..as done 4 other times for free. This time i was told 120.00 and i said ok. The computer was down. The staff stated that they needed to do an xray. I reminded her that they saw my file when I booked this morning and could see that the cap was done here and has been recemented at least 4 other times. i suggested that i find another dentist. She told me to do it. . The desk staff is lacking in empathy and kindness. watch your billing statements for procedures not done. front staff does not take kindly to constructive. Criticism. Billing in the past has been incorrectl. Often, I was told they did not bill enough on the last bill and I owed more money. At the time I was a cash customer. Yet, I stayed there because I liked the dentist. I guess I didn't read the room. Unfriendly, disrespectful, unprofessional front desk staff.
