I'm a very squeamish person and when I opted for contacts, Dr. Iacoponi ("Dr. I.") sat with me patiently until I was able to get the contacts both in and out of my eyes. My parents also go to Dr. I, as well as my two best friends and one of their parents! I've recommended Dr. I. to so many people over the years. It's super easy to. My kids used to crack up during their annual appointments with him because of this one machine that is like a game and makes interesting noises. They've piped down by now, but Dr. I. never minded. His staff is exceptional as well and you can tell that they are happy working for Dr. I. Who wouldn't be?!!! For many years, Dr. I. had a very elderly (and "with it!" employee) woman at the front desk. He treated her amazingly. (My dad always brings Dr. I. soft pretzels and Dr. I. always remembers my dad's "signature" SUPERB when interacting and even when I'm there solo, and he asks for him. Wonderful man, thorough doctor!!! Check your insurance benefits and GO !!!

Good Exam But…read more.. After having a not-so-hot eye exam from an Eyeglass franchise last year, I opted to go to an actual doctor this year. Having found Dr. Rochetti online (with good reviews), I gave him a try. The exam was complete and thorough. That part I was very pleased with... When it came to having my progressive glasses made, I decided to give Dr. Rochetti a try rather than going to Warby Parker, who made my last pair. That is where this story goes south. The lens can have a distortion, if you are not looking perfective though them. The effect is a bit like a fisheye lens. At some angles the image does not match up correctly in the middle. It happens especially about 3 feet away. This is not all the time nor at every distance but enough to throw me off once or twice during the day. I did ask for the doctor to check the lens. During my return visit we went over the problem and he explained how progressive work (since I have been wearing them for a number of years I found this curious). He did go into the next room for a moment to adjust the frames (which did little). When I asked about checking the lens the doctor said he had (and that was fast). So, in the end, my new glasses are my back up glasses. My old glasses are still for the daily use. I would go back for the eye exam but the next pair will be from Warby Parker instead. Oh well...

I've been going to this practice and seeing Dr. Fitzpatrick since the age of ten (I'm now in my mid twenties) I received my first pair of glasses there and I've never gone elsewhere since. My last experience here was HORRIBLE. I've never left a doctors appointment angrier in my life. I left so disappointed by the fact that I feel as though I now have to find a new physician because of the incompetence of the staff. Their inability to verify insurance, coverage, eligibility and so on baffles me. As a patient I didn't expect to check myself in, look myself up in their system and make sure I could find my coverage with the practice. I not only had to be on the phone and on hold for an hour but also tell the staff how to look me up. With a practice who deals with different insurance carriers on a daily basis there's no secret that they have separate identities and identification websites to check eligibility and coverage. If I had access to these provider websites I would more than gladly check myself in, collect my own co-pay, and do my own eye exam prep. Unfortunately, I am their patient; I should not have to do the job of the staff while at my appointment. My experience included public embarrassment and being asked to present my and my husband's private information including full names, address, social security numbers, and more in their front doorway as other patients signed in at the front desk. I had reqeusted a private place to present that information, but the staff insisted on an open area with their other patients. This is impolite to other patients and a HIPPA violation in its own right. To leave an hour past my appointment feeling defeated and unable to see clearly, without even having been able to see my Doctor, is not my ideal day. Dr. Fitzpatrick is an amazing optometrist and I would never hesitate to refer anybody to him. I trust him and he has cared for me as well as any patient could ask for. That is what makes this so incredibly hurtful; despite the truly stellar care that he has provided me, the staff at the practice leaves so much to be desired that I find myself hesitant to return.

After several tests/pictures of my eyes, Dr Bacho reviewed every picture with me. Explained what he saw and whether it represented a current problem or even a potential problem in the future. We discussed what I should be looking for that would indicate a possible change in my condition and how often we'd need to repeat the tests to confirm whether there had been any changes. The staff at this VisionWorks location are freaking wizards! The frame I received when I ordered a…read morenew pair of eyeglasses had a weirdly asymmetric distribution of color. When I showed it to them, they popped the lenses out and were somehow able to get them back into a display frame that had a much more uniform color distribution. It took about 10 minutes to get the lenses into the display frame, but they never gave up. They had to repeatedly heat the display frame and work other kinds of magic, but were eventually able to switch the lenses out. A shout out to Mercedes, Lea, and Ashley for going above and beyond to switch out the lenses. Outstanding service from staff who seem to really care about making their customers happy.
