I came here only because this brand accepts my eye insurance. Overall experience with customer service was pretty much mediocre. The eye appointment itself was fine, it's the staff who man the store who seemed like they didn't know anything, kept messing up my order, and lost all the info I gave them earlier. Beyond that - good luck trying to call the Cherry Hill number and talk to a live person. I needed to order replacements for my contacts, and trying to get past that robot was just horrible. Do not say "Order lenses" because all it will try to do is get you to go online - I tried at least 10 different commands before I finally found one that would connect me to a live person in the Cherry Hill location. I could feel my blood pressure scream as all I wanted to do was talk to a live person and there is no upfront option to do that. read more

Once they get your money, customer service is is non-existent. 20 minutes once you pay. Were told the glasses were broken during making? Can't call. Cancelling order, getting my insurance re-instated (TAKES 30 DAYS). Rude, inconsiderate. We are going back to Costco. read more

Terrible first impression. Arrived for an appointment tonight (arrived early.) I was told to sit down. No one said a word to us for over 10 minutes - then when they decided to acknowledge us, they couldn't figure out our insurance (though we provided it earlier in the day.) Finally we decided to pay cash for the exam, and I was taken back to be told that since it took them so long to NOT figure out the insurance, they weren't going to see me. What?? Then made me feel like it was MY FAULT that their team wasn't able to review insurance. I will NEVER be back. A terrible experience. read more

I was looking to get my eye re-examine and came across this location because it was closer to me. My first appointment everyone was super nice and professional. The second visit was a nightmare. I canceled my appointment to get contacts training because I wasn't feeling well. Then I called 4 times no answer ( they were open for business) so I proceeded to make an online appointment but there was no option for my specific reason of visit so I chose the next closest thing. When I got there, one of the male employee told me to wait at the front. I stood there for 10 mins then finally someone seated me while I wait. Next,another employee came up to me and said because I didn't pick the right appointment she doesn't know how long it would take for them to see me . I told her I didn't have the option online and that I called 4 times but no answer. I was sitting there for 45 mins, with no idea when anyone would see me so I decided to leave. I will never do business at that location again. It's sad because I thought the Dr was super nice and funny fr my first visit,but this recent experience made it enough for me to go somewhere else. read more

This was my first time going there, after I had gone to the small mom and pop eye doctors for years. They were excellent, I was very happy. It was easy to book appointment, all your paperwork was done ahead of time, the store was clean and inviting. The staff was excellent, Josie was wonderful, what a calm and warm person. Having worn glasses for many years and purchasing them in numerous places, I can say with confidence that this place is below industry standards. I will not return. I went there to purchase new glasses because my old ones broke and needed to be re-glued. While waiting for the doctor for my exam I asked them if they could fix my old ones in the mean time. They said "No". We don't fix glasses. Really? I know it's a simple fix. No, we don't fix glasses. 7 days later when my new glasses came in I inquired once again. Nope. We don't do that. The sales lady handed me my newly purchased glasses and said that they looked fine. She didn't fuss much to be certain they fit me correctly. I asked if they came with any cleaning wipes(kit) like every other eye glass place gives you with new purchases. Nope, you just get your new glasses. No frills and not much service here. On a positive note. The eye Doctor was very friendly and professional. I'd go back specifically to see him and the friendly Asian guy that works at the counter. read more

Went for the 2 for $49.99 special and every pair I picked from the sale rack was apparently not part of the sale and I was far from impressed with the ones that were. I even picked up a pair that had the sale sticker on it and the lady helping me said no that's not part of the sale and then took the sticker off the glasses and tucked them away. Don't believe the $39 for eye exam claim! I just needed a new script for contacts and even called ahead to ask about pricing. Was told the $39 for just contacts and added charge if I needed a prescription for glasses - I was very clear about what I needed. Got there, the price is now $89 (39 + additional add-ons). By the time I left, my bill was $114! There is a reason why they don't detail their fee structure on their website - it's total crap. 2 star rating only because the man who did my exam was actually nice and professional. Go to America's Best where they clearly advertise a single price where everything is included. read more

Visionworks has a courteous and very friendly staff. My mother had a coupon for a $19 eye exam so I actually expected terrible service. The Optomotrist spent a good 30 minutes with the examination and did a through job. The sales staff seems to have a strong desire to make sure the customer is fully satisfied. I'm so mad after leaving this location of vision works. I had purchased glasses before from this location and went in to buy the same pair but with a transition for sunglasses. They were very helpful said that my insurance covered most of it and I paid my $83 and left. The whole time having a conversation about not needing glasses but I am these because I need sunglasses. I picked them up last night today when the sun came out they did not go dark so I went back to the store and they said oh well these.Won't get dark because they're not transition. The original sales person that took the order handed me off to someone else because I think she was embarrassed and the new person had to tell me that there's no way these could transition I need more expensive lenses and I just had to pay them another $53. I know they're always short staffed but I would've liked to taking care of this in one original visit instead of wasting several weeks doing this. read more

Firstly I will admit at this point I basically know nothing about glasses so I can't comment on price differences, level of options or quality of brands offered. My eye exam doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything very plainly with a lot of enthusiasm, very nice experience wish I remembered his name. I was assisted in picking out glasses options by a lovely gentleman named Jay he was super kind and helpful and made me very comfortable getting my first pair of glasses. Great style recommendations and I never once felt like he was trying to rush me out the door or trick me into deals or options just to get more money. The only reason I didn't give a 5 was just because perfect scores I think get thrown around too easily and there was this one lady who kinda seemed annoyed with me for being less than 10 minutes late, even though those minutes were because I politely waited my turn in line at the front. However she was never rude and was generally pleasant after that initial response. It does seem like the location could use more staff cause often people would have to jump between clients and other tasks while they helped me. read more

I went here because I needed prescription sunglasses. Picked out a basic pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer. Have always had Ray Bans and never a problem. I was in the previous week and it was 50% off but was told now that was over so it was only 30% off. Whatever......discussed in detail that I would like the lab to be very careful in not stretching the frames as I liked the snug fit of the display pair and I have a more narrow face. I was assured this would not be a problem. Well needless to say the glasses came back and would barely stay on my face. After trying to "adjust" them several times I was told that this particular material does not adjust well as it always reverts back to original shape. Staff completely clueless. Theresa, manager??? stepped in to help and was more accommodating than previous person who seemed annoyed that the glasses were stretched out and I wan't pleased. Was told I needed now to go to something other than a Ray Ban. She helped me pick out a pair of Catherine Denouve???? frames. Discussed the same issue. Well picked up the glasses today and although they did fit better my world turned orange due to the tint of the lenses...they were supposed to be a brownish copper but they are orange!! not to mention that these can not be the same frames as they are soooooo big on my face I can fit two of me. Cheap frames, cheap lenses, one side was not polished correctly and the cleaning tissue kept getting stuck in it, staff person told me it it would go away????....back tomorrow to return them. Maybe will try again to pick something else depends on my energy levels. Nobody seems to care. Wish I had read the other reviews before I went here. I guess you are taking your chances!! read more

Vision Works is like a used car salesman. They quote you a price and before you are done it is double the price. They have two price lists - the one they charge from for people with no coupons and the full retail price list. My girlfriend and I visited the Cherry Hill NJ store and spent over an hour looking at frames. Then the CON began. We told them we had a BOGO coupon. First they tried to push the so called digital lens which are nothing but mid grade index of refraction lens (1.5) saying they are better clarity than high index lens (1.67). We picked the same frame for both pairs. One with digital lens and one with high index. The rep gave use prices of $295 and $310. Then the rep started entering the order in the system. After much trouble with the system and many trips for help by the manager, the rep still could not get the quoted prices. So a different manager came over and told the rep that the prices were wrong. One pair was now $600 - nearly double. The manager kept entering the info like nothing was wrong and that we were going to pay $600 for the pair that was previously quoted at $310. That is when they revealed the two price lists and they had to price the more expensive pair off the full retail price list. WE LEFT the store knowing that they TRIED to CON US. NO SUCKER HERE. I went to Visionworks after my eye doctor told me i needed glasses due to the fact I wear my contacts way too much. Even with my terrible vision i can CLEARLY see this place is the exact opposite of a used car salesman. First off this is an optical store, not one of which sells cars so the comparison there is just absurd and in reality is not accurate whatsoever. The staff was absolutely friendly and more then helpful in assisting me in finding the best frames. The prices were accurate in conjuction with my insurance. The manager who helped me showed me exactly what I was paying and how my insurance plan was set up so I received a great deal. They kept a very professional attitude. In my experience even with a coupon, you do have to pay for the more expensive pair at the full price and you get the discount on the less expensive of the products, but maybe this customer was unaware of how coupons work. You can tell based on the previous review that some people truely have nothing better to do and like to point blame instead of pointing out the positives of the local businesses. So to make this as clear as possible, Visionworks is a great place to go to for optical needs and if you are going to make a statment such as "Update: Visionworks scrubs there facebook pages of reviews they do NOT like, so beware that all is not as it seems in facebook land." then: a. make sure you use the correct form of "their." you may not be a sucker but you certainly are old enough to use the correct form of possession. b. make sure you actually are the owner of THEIR facebook page because if you are not then how could you possibly prove or back up your point of saying they scrub their page. You can't. So everyone when you write a review, make it one of which is mature and productive. No need to cut down on a place if you did not like it. It is fine not to like someplace or be displeased with the service but state facts not assumptions. Thank you Visionworks for making my experience there worthwhile.
