My treat was $4.00. Chocolate! 04/17/25

Zuri Coffee was an accidental find when I was on my way to get breakfast. I decided to return after I ate and check out their pastries. Little did I know I would be greeted so warmly by the two employees behind the counter. Also I had no idea it was a Swiss Coffee Shop with so many imported Swiss Favorites. After I thoroughly checked out every item I purchased one of the last two Swiss Chocolates in the shape of and wrapped like a Swiss Army Knife. I have my Grandfather's Swiss Army Knife and I always wore my Swiss Watches too. I've been to Switzerland and I love the Chocolate!! I'm tempted to eat the chocolate I bought today but I decided to surprise my daughter with this gift on Easter Sunday. I always have given her a sweet treat on Easter. I'm definitely returning to try the coffee. They have decaf Cappuccino and said they could make a Americano for me! I'm highly recommending!!

Coffee is just ok, on par with other coffee shops around this area. The Matcha is disgusting would never recommend especially for almost $8. They're saving grace is their almond croissant. Otherwise, I would get your Matcha and coffee elsewhere.

I was excited to check out this new coffee shop in the neighborhood on York ave. It had a cool name to it too. I walked in and had a cozy vibe feeling. There are some tables indoors and some outdoors. This is a very cute coffee shop with what looks like very tasty pastries and cookies and other goodies on the counter. I had an iced latte with regular milk. From one of the previous reviews about the milk situation, the person helping me just automatically said is regular milk ok before I ordered my milk. She did not give me any choices of other types of milk they had. I mean I did want whole milk but what if I didn't. She was nice though and talkative to other customers about Switzerland and how this coffee shop has alot of Switzerland things. Even the logo is like the Swiss alps I think. I would maybe try another drink here one day if I am in the area. Maybe a hot drink.

    Brown sugar cold foam

Unfortunately bad experience Won't be coming back First time trying this place out Got the brown sugar cold foam iced latte It was sickly sweet for an almost $9 12oz cup ! When i asked nicely to remake the drink as it was not drinkable being that sweet her and her friend (brunette and red head) proceeded to make remarks like "ugh whatever" "you make it for her idk what she wants me to do everyone likes a sweet drink" after making my drink with an attitude she gave it to me in the nastiest way and didn't respond to my thank you Instead rolling her eyes and laughing to her friend. The second drink was even worse than the first in that it was watery and tasteless Big miss

Delightful little Swiss coffee shop. Several vegan milk options (soy, coconut, oat, almond). Some baked goods, none are vegan.

Good cold brew and great pastries-- the raspberry danish in particular was excellent!

Wanted to write this review based on the wheelchair accessibility and laptop areas…read more There are coffee shops in the neighborhood with laptop rules that say you have to sit at the high tables. Obviously as a wheelchair user, I cannot sit at the high tables, and when I have asked the staff for understanding, other places have denied me. Ines let me use my laptop at a wheelchair accessible table without any fuss. Mark was very gracious. When I asked, he said, "we will make an exception." I felt heard without advocating for common sense and I greatly appreciate the humility. Thank you!

The place is cute and small. They have good happy hour prices on wine. The food we tried wasn't…read moreso great. My friend had been here before and raved about the escargot and meatballs. The escargot was covered with pesto that tasted like the basil wasn't fresh. Also, I'm sure there was plenty of garlic because the restaurant smelled like it, but I would have liked more garlic in this dish. The meatballs were mostly bread (there may have been some meat). After we complained, the item was removed from our bill by our friendly, polite, and conscientious server. Note: This is a French restaurant, but they didn't have any butter for the bread.

Absolutely incredible pasta from this easy-to-miss UES spot! To start - the Strawberry Fields…read morecocktail is honestly one of the best drinks I've had in a while: the perfect mix of strong and not too sweet. The 2 of us split 3 pastas: the Truffle Gnocchi (my favorite item of the evening), the Cacio e Pepe (one of the best renditions of this dish I've had!) and the Rigatoni Alla Diavola. I would skip the focaccia if I came back - loved the butter but it was nothing special. 10/10!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
