    New concrete
    Matt L.

I found Sanders concrete through Yelp with one of those bid requests where they get you multiple bids for the same project. They came in with the lowest bid, so naturally I was drawn to them. Then I put the project off for about a year and when I decided to follow through with it I reached back out to sanders to see if the quote was still good. Manuel got right back to me and it was only about $200 more than the original price due to the increase in material costs. So I got on the schedule, but they were booked out about a month. I was a little worried since there's more than a few reviews on Yelp that mention being on their schedule, but they never showed. I was able to confirm with Manuel via text about 7 days prior to the job and he sent me an estimate to sign. He bid on the job sight unseen, which I kind of liked, because I'm like hella busy and stuff ... Anyway the day came and a guy named George showed up with a couple other guys to do the work. The job was to tear out some concrete that was about 22'x11' and replace it with about the same. They started at about 7:30 in the morning and they were pouring new concrete by 11 and done and gone by 1:30. The only weird thing, and really I don't care, I just thought it was weird; the owner and person I had been talking to the whole time, Manuel, wasn't here for the job. Then when we wrote the check at the end, George was like "just make it out to me"... so like did sanders even do the job? They did great work, so I don't care, but it was somewhat strange to me.

Manuel and his team did such a great job. Very respectful and easy to work with. We are really happy with our backyard expansion. I recommend him if you are looking for a good contractor. We will be contacting him for our future concrete projects. Thank you again

Manny and his guys did an awesome job with our little 10x11' pad that we had in our backyard. They asked great questions and made sure it was all how I wanted it turned out, plus they were extremely reasonable on the price. Highly recommend these guys.

Part Two: I'm not a rude person, you can see I was very patient and really wanted him to do the job but no reply.

I would definitely go elsewhere. My field of work is contractors' insurance (underwriter) so I deal with a lot of construction companies and this is one I would not recommend. For starters he's only been licensed for a year and after my experience with him I'm glad he didn't do work for me. Manuel basically ghosted me for reasons unknown to me. We set a date for him to do some flatwork about 2 months in advance and he was a no-call, no-show. After that point he kept ignoring my calls. When I finally got in touch with him he kept saying he'd call later in the week but never did. I even told him to just tell me if he didn't want to do the job and he didn't even do that. I did cancel the original job date at the onset of the coronavirus due to the uncertainty but we rescheduled. Doesn't excuse his lack of response and unprofessionalism as you see from my text screenshot. He won't show the screenshot of that part of our conversation (I don't have it anymore) because he knows he was 100% in the wrong. He says he didn't do work for me. The screenshots of the text messages make it clear why it didn't happen. He just ignored a customer who was eager to do business. There are plenty of good concrete guys to give your business to, unfortunately this is not one of them. Below are pics of my text messages to him to which he never replied.

Manuel was professional and personable. His quote was reasonable and fair. His crew did a great job on our driveway and walkways. They were on time. They worked extremely well together, were professional and masters at their craft.

This area was unfinished for years while I figured out a plan. Manuel finished it with ease.

Great work, friendly and competitive pricing. Manuel was easy to work with and I'm looking forward to using him again for future projects!

Manuel and his crew did an AMAZING job on my backyard! Had over 9 1/2 yards of stamped colored concrete poured in my backyard and he did an incredible job! His crew and him came in, leveled out my whole backyard (I sit on a .21 acre property) and poured a beautiful 25'X20' patio with matching walkways and a slab for my storage shed. All done quickly and with incredible precision. What an incredibly quality job for a fantastic price. His job was so incredible, I am also having him complete other work I am looking to have done to complete my backyard renovation. He is my go-to guy now when it comes to concrete/masonry work! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for high quality concrete work! There's honestly nobody better in the greater Sacramento area! Please call him and get a quote from him ASAP! He's honest and straight forward with all his dealings. A very RARE quality these days!

We had Sanders tear out our old driveway and install a new one with a few changes. His price was very reasonable but more importantly he got us a quote very quickly and was extremely responsive throughout the project. He was on time, actually finished a day early, and left the job site clean. The driveway came out perfectly and all grading was done beautifully. I highly recommend Manual and his crew Keith you will not be disappointed.

Manuel and his team did a phenomenal job on our concrete planter/retaining wall and pad for our hot tub today. Manuel has had great communication with me from the beginning and was flexible when we had a delay that resulted in needing to push the work back by a few days. Super impressed with the speed they got everything done and the attention to detail. I found Manuel to be the easiest contractor to connect with out of the 4 I brought out to bid my project. Highly recommend!

    Great concrete job!

I did a lot of research and received multiple quotes before we decided to move forward with concrete. We needed quite a bit of concrete for our project. It's a big investment and we wanted it done right. I am glad we picked Manuel Sanders and his company. I highly recommend him for any project! He was very professional, knowledgeable, fair, and friendly. He finished the project quickly without cutting corners. His work is high quality at a fair price. Please give him a call for your next project.

One bedroom had sunk by almost 5 inches as that part of the house had been built on fill. In order to restore the house to it's proper level numerous foundation jacks and floor leveling screw jacks were required. In addition some landscaping bushes and pvc sprinkler pipes had to temporarily removed. Groundworks had informed me prior to starting work what would be required to successfully complete this project and had my full approval. The house is now level, the doors no longer swing on their own and the interior cracks between the walls and ceiling joints no longer exist. Prior to the crew leaving the yard was cleaned up and the pvc pipes replaced. Best of all Groundworks will come back annually to the next 5 years and make any necessary adjustments. The Groundworks crew that made this happen was Andrew, the site supervisor, Charlie and Allen. Their performance and daily communication was superior on all levels. This is part 2. The Groundworks Poly crew of Anthony & Brian were very fast and efficient in completing their part of the foundation repair contract which was to level our family room slab floor. Fast, yes, but Anthony did take the time to not only explain what they were going to do but also walked me through the process as they were working. I have no problem in recommending them & Groundworks to other home owners who need to have their foundation repaired.

Ken showed up today promptly, and when I say promptly, I mean to the second level promptly, at 09:00. He clearly had read all the notes about my unfortunate situation, but asked me to update him with all the work I had done since my initial call. He was forming his plan of action in his head as I briefed him, after I had finished, he went out to his truck, put on his coveralls and went under my house and did a very thorough inspection. I could hear him moving things around under there and every now and then banging on things with his metal probe tool he took with him. He explored every corner of my crawl space, took numerous pictures and had a surprisingly good diagram of my foundation mapped out on graph paper ready to show me when we sat down to go over the results. The results..... He took a deep breath and said, "OK, we got a lot going on here," and proceeded to explain a little about the general layout of my crawl space, which was, let's just say not your typical crawl space, then he showed me his pictures, ("they were much worse than I imagined") and said, "so here is what I would do, if this was my mother's house". That pleased me very much, I said "yes that is exactly how I want you to approach this, I want it done right." I will confess, I am somewhat of a perfectionist, a retired perfectionist, that takes naps during the day, and used to do all my own work on everything, cars, carpentry, welding, etc., etc., you get the idea. I LOVE to buy tools, and by doing things myself, I could justify the expense of any specialized tool I needed to perform the task at hand, then I just self taught myself on how to properly do what ever needed to be done. "If you want the job done right, do it yourself," was how I rolled, until my body decided to start protesting. Ken layed out his plan and I loved every bit of it, because I know, his plan is a good plan, it is the plan I would have come up with myself, I loved this plan. It is proportional to the level of damage, but logical and measured in response. I haven't seen the quote yet, but I know enough to be able to visualize what they are going to have to do to properly fix the damage, and the difficulty level involved. I have no doubt, that when I see the quote, it will be fair, right Ken?

The first thing you should know, is that Rio is not just some guy who only shows-up at your job site to collect the bag-fulls of money you will likely need (regardless of who you hire) if you are unfortunate enough to need structural foundation repairs; but on the other hand, Rio was there every day on our job directing/orchestrating his crew and swinging a hammer with the best of them. That said, even if you don't know didley about foundation repairs, but are freakin'-out enough to start calling foundation experts, I can tell you from my experience of having no less than 13 contractors/foundation companies coming out in the past year before hiring Montgomery, Rio was the only one who instilled in me any confidence that his job approach was the right one for resurrecting the listing /crumbling foundation of our otherwise structurally sound 1920s Land Park garage. I initially emailed Rio pix of the deteriorated slab/foundation/dramatic leaning of the garage before he came out for his extremely thorough evaluation; and yes he did charge a fee (which was applied against his bid), but I can tell you it was the best investment I could have made. I have been in this home 43 years and am pretty handy with repairs/general construction, but I do leave the complicated jobs like foundations/roofs/HVAC to the pros, and I do know enough to ask the right questions and know the right answers when I hear them. If you don't have that kind of knowledge yourself, DON'T WORRY, Rio will give you the "straight-story" and you WON'T have to worry about getting ripped-off by shoddy work or un-needed repairs to "jack-up" a repair bill. Upon accepting the bid, Rio arranged for his structural engineer to draw-up the plans and took care of all the permitting, which went seamless, and on one occasion during the project while the city inspector was meeting with Rio on the job site, they were both on the phone with the engineer to discuss some of the foundation plans; which obviously made the "passing" inspections proceed without delays. Our job involved actually lifting the entire garage on steel beams and demo-ing the shot slab & foundation/re-racking the entire building with "come-alongs"/new internal bracing/seismic bolt & plates for the upgraded footers/headers, all which was brought up to current city code. Rio initially gave me two bids for my choosing: one to generally fix the foundation issues by repair or the second option, which I chose, to completely renovate the garage, and I couldn't be happier with Rio's attention to detail. He estimated 6 weeks from start to finish and Office Manage Dana always kept me advised of scheduling to keep Rio and crew from being in 14 places as one time! The crews always let me know beforehand what was scheduled for the day and ALWAYS showed-up on time and were a quite pleasant competent crew (Thank you to Travis, Rick, Jessie & Jesus for the great work!) OK I could go on and on, but I will say I am pretty picky who works on our house and Rio is as honest and competent as you will find, right alongside other top-notch contractors I have used ie "Fargo Construction" (now retired Land Park remodeler); "Sierra Pacific" for HVAC; and "Cal Vintage Roofing". To sum it up, we were extremely grateful that Montgomery took on our project and couldn't be happier. Thankyou Rio, Dana and the rest of the crew !!

I was losing sleep thinking about my uneven floors, so I decided to reach out to NorCal Ram Jack for a free estimate. What was there to lose? After filling out their online request form they reached out within a couple of hours and scheduled an appointment the following week with Adam, their Foundation Specialist. My property sat in a hazardous state the entire time: open holes covered only by wood boards, piles of excavated dirt, debris, and equipment surrounded by caution tape. My homeowner's insurance company conducted a routine inspection, found the condition of my property unacceptable, threatened to drop my policy, and ultimately imposed a $2,000 surcharge. Resolving that took significant time and effort. Faced with no resolution in sight, I was pressured into accepting a reduced scope of work -- specifically, no tiebacks. Tiebacks were explicitly included in my signed contract and shown on the job drawing. Without them, there is no guarantee my home will remain stable on the hillside. I paid $52,130 for a project that does not solve my problem. After agreeing to the reduced plan, it took more months to redraw plans and pull permits, then more weeks to schedule the final visit to seal holes and reconnect drainage. On that scheduled day, they no-showed. Again. When they arrived the next day, they left without finishing. Their excuse: my gardener had told them not to proceed. My gardener -- someone I know well and trust -- told me he said no such thing. Norcal did not just take direction from someone with no authority over my contract. They fabricated an excuse to walk off the job. This company demonstrated the same pattern of behavior from the very first day to the very last: no communication, no accountability, and no follow-through.

WOW !! This company is amazing, We started work with Foundation Repair of California 10 Years ago,…read morethe job was big, but they completed the work on time, Steven our rep was on site, and walked us through step by step process. Their customer service, from the front office to the frontline staff were remarkably, again wow! Great job team ! Now, moving forward I have our foundation piers checked annually on their "care club" plan. The rate is extremely reasonable, but regardless of rate, its their staff and product, is what makes all the difference, Emanuel K, has been here the past 4 years in a row, to inspect, and I tell you he is so impressive, his knowledge, communication, kindness, passion, knowledge, hard work, so enthusiastic, and customer service driven far beyond any one I have met in the industry. This week, 6/20/2026, Emanuel and his Manager Jorge R. came out to inspect the piers, and if Emanuel is a Super Star, Jorge is Super Star #2 (how many super starts do they have). again the wow factor, Jorge and his thinking out of the box, came up with a simple solution for what turned out to be a oddity in the original home build back in 1977. issue solved. Amazing work and expertise. I don't know how Foundation Repair of Ca, finds their employees, but all industries should take note, and follow their design for hiring, as they have the best of the best on their staff. Again, Lets not forget the product is amazing, sales team (Steven), front and back office teams, are spectacular. This a company that adheres to their: Mission statements and their Value statements. The house was built 1926 and i did remodeling and added a new structure. I had handyman to repair them as I thought that they are just cosmetic issues. The handyman recommended to inspect my house foundation. I found companies that looked reliable for finding the causes and repairing the problems. I had 2 foundation specialists from 2 companies and they told me the causes and the cost of fixing them; causes are structual issues and cost are expensive. The 3rd time, MIchael Silva, a foundation specialist from StrongHold came for initial inspection and suggestions for solutions. I gave Michal the related my house history and Michel started inspection in/out of the house. Afterward, Micheal presented that was very thorough based on his collection of data during the inspection and his experiences in the past. Micheal delivered a good news :My house does not need structural repair; the causes my cracks on ceiling and walls are from uneven floor in some areas. Micheal is a 'gem' for the company.
