Great service and great food. Sushi was delicious and very fresh. I would 100% recommend.

Arguably the best place to eat at in Fillmore, the food was amazing, the owner was friendly and humble, and the dining area is very welcoming. We had the steak hibachi, chicken plate with salad and hummus, and for dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake, mango parfait, and mazapan cheesecake!! 10/10 would definitely become a regular at this restaurant. Oh yea and I know you may think "this place is kinda pricey" but after you consume some of the gems of this excellent menu, you will be satisfied!!!

Tonight was my first time here and it was good the second we walked in. The gentleman taking our order was so kind and answered all our questions. I was decided between the burger and fries or sushi burrito and I chose the latter and it was sooo dam fire. I am so glad I got it. We also ordered some boneless mango habanero wings that were so delicious as well. And when we left the to go boxes already had ramekins filled with the sauce to go. This is a nice little spot in the back of a strip mall that I highly recommend!!

10/10. Such a hidden gem. The owner Daniel is warm, friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The California tempura roll was crisp and balanced in flavor, the aguachile roll and spicy tuna burrito were fresh and flavorful as well. The spicy mayo that they use is the best spicy mayo I've ever had. The pistachio cake was the perfect end to our meal, as it wasn't overly heavy, decadent or sweet. We will definitely be back for sure.

"Daniel's Gourmet Mediterranean", brought his fabulous foods to "Red Engine Brewery" in Fillmore CA in a colaborative paring of Food and Craft Beer for 2025 Valentine's Day Dinner. A 3 course meal, each course perfectly pared with hand crafted Beer by Preston Andreini from REBC. It was magical and no doubt a new tradition starts for Fillmore CA. Congratulations gentleman, a great collaboration of businesses.

    Steak super nachos

This place is such a hidden gem. It's a small restaurant in the corner of the shopping plaza with an incredible menu that has something for everyone. Thank you so much to the owner for serving delicious halal food! We got the steak super nachos, chicken hibachi noodles, Mexican burger, and lemon pepper boneless wings. Everything was so tasty and came out of the kitchen so fast. We had zero complaints about the food, it's seriously so so good. They have about 5 or 6 tables inside and a couple outside as well so there's a good amount of seating. The owner brought us a sample of one of his sushi rolls and gave us an Oreo cheesecake on the house when we were on our way out. He was so kind and you can tell he is very passionate about his food. There's nothing better than when a restaurant has good food and good service. Even though Fillmore is a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back!

The establishment is kind of hidden in the corner next to the shell gas station and there is ample parking. As I was walking towards the front, I see a sign stating that they have a happy hour starting at 1 o'clock and it was 1259 so I was very excited to see what this look like especially for it being my first time here. This meant that I get to try a lot of new things and a lot more things. There is about 10 to 15 tables inside with different amounts of seating and since it was just my boyfriend and I and the lady gave us the choice to sit wherever then we chose a table with two seats but, had us move to the next one because she said that the two seat ones were for single people, especially because it was lunchtime. She refused to let us sit at the two person table ‍. We got several menus and a pencil with an ordering paper. She took our drink order and we started to explore the vast menu and it all looked great! (I love when they have pictures on the menu apart from descriptions) After she brought us waters, I asked her if the special menu was considered the happy hour menu and she said it's not happy hour yet and I said yes it is 1 o'clock and she looked at my boyfriends clock on his phone and apologized and brought the happy hour menu. I included the receipt so you can see that 4/5 rolls were happy hour pricing. The sushi chefs were 2 Hispanic men and the reason why I mention this was because I feel like most of my rolls had this "chili powder" that resembled Tajin on my rolls and that's what they called "spicy" half my rolls were supposed to be spicy tuna but the tuna itself was not spicy they just had this Tajin-like powder on top and to me it wasn't spicy at all and I also felt like it made those 2/3 rolls taste bland. My bf loves deep fried rolls so he opted to try the magic mtn and he loved it and I think I enjoyed the spider roll the most. Even the spicy tuna on the crispy rice was just regular tuna with no spice. We still thought it tasted good but we will maybe give it another try with different rolls next time. They have a punch card if you spend $50+ after I think 10 you get a free speciality roll. The chefs gave us a parting remark and we thanked them upon leaving for lunch. Our server was a little more cold but kudos to her for handling the whole restaurant by herself in an efficient manner as our food came out quick and we got water refills and she checked in on us while serving 5/6 other tables all by herself.

And a quick search from Yelp reminded me that we were here last time! I guess they are still attractive. This place felt like it was run by the Vietnamese, as all hosts and servers spoke Vietnamese to each other. The menu is as extensive as before, 2 full pages of rolls! One page is the standard ones, like the Lion King, sumo rolls, 49er's, and the other page is their special rolls. Unlike last time that we tried a bunch of their special appetizers (and they are still the same on the menu), we tried the rolls and bento this time and I think I like that more. We ordered the Teena roll, the Gilbert roll, an order of salmon roe sushi, a side order of chicken fried rice, and a tempura bento. The rolls tasted good, soft and slightly chewy in the mouth with a blend of all the sashimi and crab meat and sticky Japanese rice. The tempura bento was sumptuous! It came with a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of white rice, 4 or 5 pieces of gyoza, a salad, cucumber, a pre-cut orange, and 8 or 9 pieces of tempura of a variety. My least favorite is probably the salmon roe sushi as I wish the roes look bigger and more orange-y. Service was great. Although we were told they were busy and we might have to wait a bit, food started to come in less than 5 minutes! We didn't get a water refill but the glass of water was big. Dirty dishes were taken away timely too. I've been abused by the Bay Area exorbitant prices for a long time, it was such a pleasure to see rolls priced at $15. So overall, it was a good dinner in town.

The dining room is cozy and the decor is sophisticated, but not pretentious. Our server was friendly but not intrusive. We were a little hesitant about having sushi on a Monday but there was no reason. Everything was super fresh. Nothing fishy. We had 2 rolls, 3 sets of pieces, the gyoza, and the stuffed jalapeños. I had a craving for spicy tuna over crispy rice, so I asked our server if they could make some since I didn't see it on the menu. They did and it was 10 out of 10. I would say the portion sizes are pretty generous. The individual pieces of sushi were more like the size of 2 I'm most other restaurants. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to go a bit easier on the sauce for the rolls. Let the flavor of the food be the star.
