She purchased a used Rolex Oyster Date 36mm, but Mike never disclosed that both the glass and the dial had been replaced -- a huge deal in the collector world that slashes the value of the watch. This was not disclosed in writing, verbally, or otherwise. Then comes the sleaze: He had her initial a no-return clause during the sale while they were resizing the watch. She even asked, "You're resizing it now, does this mean I can't return it?" Mike said "No, you can still return it." I found a ring online and they immediately located it in the store. They explained a few things about the ring that I did not think about, so I am thankful that they shared these important details. Mina was great. I was looking for a place to repair my broken gold and silver chains and I called the shop first to ask for a quote. Mina was very personable, careful and focused on details to ensure my packages were labeled correctly and packaged accordingly to avoid any confusion prior to repairing them. I came in person to show her the pieces for an accurate price, as she suggested; the price was reasonable ( and she worked up a discount and great price on an additional item I purchased) and in less than a week I had my chains and bracelet back fully fixed. Came to this place to buy a gift for a baptism, the lady who helped me out was extremely professional and wonderful and answered all my questions. The manager saw My wedding ring and said, " Here, let me clean that for you" and I was like ok. So after making making the purchase of the gift for the baptism, the manager asked me if I had $20 and I looked at her and said no, and then she even asked me if I had $10. Absolutely ludicrous and poor service. I came in for a ring resize, and not only did they outright judge me for choosing wear a women's ring, they attempted to charge $85 for one ring resize! And if that wasn't enough, they wouldn't get it done for another three days! When I asked if it could be done by today they gave me the most surprised and shocked look as if that was impossible. They also got some dirt on my ring, didn't stain it or anything but it was clear they were absolutely careless with my ring. For a short while, I thought that maybe it is too much to ask for a cheap and quick ring resize...until I found a Kiosk several stores down that did the exact same service FOR $15 AND IN 20 MINUTES! This store is way too shady in their services for me to comfortable in, along with the judgmental and careless staff, would never go here again. read more

well, this place is not that great. I really wish I could give a place 5 stars but all these places I have gone too have not earned it. any ways getting back to Daniel's jewelers. the staff are very pushy, they are honestly worse than a car dealership when it comes to buying something. i opened my account back in 2004 in another store and since i moved to highland park i wanted to make my payments somewhere near by because Daniel's doesn't offer online payment options and i was not about to drive 23 miles to the original store i got credit with just to make a payment and the only time they will take a payment over the phone is by you being 30 days late on a payment lol! anyways. the manager there is a female i don't know her name but i believe she is Armenian, she was there only for one thing and that is to make money out of me. i came in to get my wife's wedding ring resized and was asked why don't i put a larger diamond on it i was like i really don't wanna do that i just wanna get the ring resized as my wife was watching my 3 kids. after a bit of pressure of them wanting to run my credit i decided to go ahead and let them since i always get rejected by the GE credit company, i said i wont get approved and they will for sure drop the issue, well i was wrong this time!!!!! i got approved but they didn't bother to tell me by how much i was approved for. all they did was insist that i get a $4,000 dollar diamond on my wife's ring instead of them doing the service i asked for which was to measure my wife's finger to get the ring resized. my daughter asked me in front of the pushy sales clerk and manager that she was hungry and wanted to eat and i was trying to get to the point of me stopping by but even with them hearing what my daughter have said, they completely ignored her and kept trying to shove the diamond down my throat. the manager kept telling me " you can afford it, you can afford it" and i was like i know i can but i don't wanna buy it! I JUST WANT MY WIFE'S RING RESIZED!!!!! by saying this they will know exactly who i am and probably talk to me the next time i come in. look i still haven't been told how much i got approved for and i am gonna have to call Sherwood management on Monday to find out what happened with my credit line. but obviously i got approved for $5k since they insisted on a $4k diamond with 0 down and 120 a month for a payment. i will buy a watch from them that i am interested on but that's about it. i a trying to continue to improve my credit so a secret for you is to use only 30% of your credit line or less in order for your fico score to go up fast :) its been working for me which is why GE credit company finally approved my credit line. i like the Montebello store better, Janet is another Armenian lady i dealt with n the Montebello store and she has never pressured me to buy something i don't want. i might end up going back there even though its a 23 mile drive there with heavy traffic. read more

Bought a ring for my wife which had the birthstone of our first born child. Found a great deal. Staff was helpful and nice. We had to get it resized. When we got the ring back.. the ring was not circular.. more like oval.. one side was thicker than the other.. the birthstone was not secure (shook it and made a noise).. and a diamond on the side fell out. The store was remorseful for the work they had done and the ring was different from when we first bought it. They took back the ring, I gave them suggestions to fix the ring and they stated that they would fix the issues. After 3 days, I received the ring back and the diamond was replaced, the ring was made more circular, and the thickness of the ring was more even on all sides. This was great, but the birthstone on the top still was loose. When I expressed my concern the sales lady stated that since the birthstone was a particular shape... all rings with that shape had the issue of not being secure?? hmmm when she brought the ring to the assistant to the regional director "Henry".. I noticed Henry attempting to push in the prongs by hand behind the counter.. Even after stating I was unhappy with the work and the experience of the sale, Henry stated that the ring was good and that Daniel's Jewelers thought there was nothing wrong with the ring. Henry also brought to my attention the sale price of the ring and how it was discounted significantly.. pretty much.. be happy with what you get. The only thing they could do for me was refund the "work" done to resize the ring. If you like unsupportive managers like Henry, shotty work, and feeling like the customer is never right.... go here... Never again...by the way the store representative, Henry would not share his business card or his last name with me. read more
