I've been to this hidden gem twice this month. There are about 13 shops open & a jewelry repair by Gevork in the back. First time in Toros Jewelry was a cold, rainy day. I loved how friendly the husband & wife team are! With their help, I picked out a gold chain to wear with a Virgin de Guadalupe medallion I'd bought elsewhere. Toros stall has rings, chains, medallions & much more. I was treated respectfully. Thank you, guys. By the time I arrived home, I realized I should have purchased a longer, albeit more expensive 100% 14k gold chain. Buyers remorse. Yikes! I'v changed my mind, as this girl reporter is permitted to do--I was afraid I'd be screamed at, berated. There are huge signs saying, No exchanges! No returns! All sales final! I found the courage to text them @ Toros. "Yes, ok." That's all they wrote. I returned the same week. The Toros Team was friendly, calm. I paid more money than I expected. Sticker shock, immediately. Uh, oh. However, for 14k gold, it's in the weight, my friends! I had an dollar amount in mind, because I'm girl reporter & I had researched on line. That being said, we tried on a longer chain I liked better. I paid the extra George Washingtons. FYI: ask for an invoice listing exact weight, which gold (14K,) what length, & what width (as in 1.5 to usually 3.5 or 4.5 mm. I need to go see. To feel. To touch. An An Jewelers, the booth in the back left corner, is wonderful! It's run by two sisters, we worked with Ana to get my wedding band custom made and to buy my (now) husband's wedding band. She connected us with the repair shop in the back to have my wedding band made, the guys back there are wonderful and they did an incredible job! We came back a few times so they could make sure the mold fit and it really does fit perfectly and is exactly what I wanted. An-An jewelers -- two thumbs way down. My husband bought me a clasp bracelet for Valentine's 2022 that I literally wore maybe 5 times before it became dimpled / mangled and then broke. Be forewarned, there is a handwritten sign behind the counter that reads "no reFOUNDS after one week.". And apparently no refunds either. I spent 30 minutes going back and forth telling this woman who clearly wanted to get out of doing ANYthing to show that they might've been in the wrong here, or to try to keep their good name. Nope, the $290 was more important. She went from insinuating I "mashed" the bracelet/wore it carelessly, to saying some clients cheat and try to return different items, to saying it's a hollow bracelet so it needs to be worn extra carefully. I mean, she used EVERY excuse in the book. First it was that I didn't have the receipt. I had brought her the bank statement, which she later matched to a handwritten receipt in her records for exactly the same $$ amount and date. THEN, it was that she had taken down the item description incorrectly... who's fault is that? YOURS, woman. Her only offer was to take the gold and melt it down and give me a little pocket change. And she pointed out that normally she would CHARGE for this service, but was willing to do me a favor. I left with a headache and half an hour of wasting my breath with these two. We will NEVER shop here again, and we will make sure anyone we know doesn't either! read more

The Jeweler in the back stole my gold chain. My husband took my necklace to be repaired and they literally gave him a different necklace. DO NOT USE this place!! They are con artist and cannot be trusted!! The gold necklace I had was thicker and shorter. They replaced it with a thin long one. I went into Glendale Jewel Mart to buy a bracelet, because I lost that ruby-topped gold bangle from Claremont, which I like loved and wore for more than 5 years. I had good intentions walking into that retail space filled with jewelers. I really liked some diamond earrings... And there was a ring. Nothing too special with bracelets. Buy the gold and the diamonds were free. Nice bracelet and necklace sets. I went back buy something... They like people with government pandemic money to spend. That wasn't me. National Rings Booth A1 in the Glendale Jewelry Mart is my favorite. There are street parking spots where you would have to wait and fight for or there's a parking structure behind fed ex (near on orange and Wilson) that provides 90 minutes free! I would just walk through fedex to get to the main road (Brand) and walk towards the corner of Brand and Wilson. From the main corner entrance, you walk and see several other booths that provide different jewels and services. You would have to walk around and ask each booth to find out your question. I really enjoyed my time at the first booth on the right from the entrance; National Rings Booth A1! Despite the RBF looks, Lily is super helpful and nice once you start to engage the conversation. She was able to help and provide me options on a variety of jewels and shapes. I went in for a custom order. I showed her a picture of a ring I wanted and she was able to create a similar look and I love it! Beyond happy! She was able to also give me a great price! I've spent over $10,000 dollars in CASH for jewelry within a month; not including, a beautiful custom made piece I ordered. The estimated grams were to be 18 - 19 grams but weighed 16 grams. I received no call advising me otherwise) When I came in to pick up the item (she did call and leave a message) I had to asked about the discrepancy of gram guesstimates. Red Flags are always raised when the customer has to broach a question or problem, the merchant, should have been forthcoming with. I assume without facts; that due to the discrepancy in "gram guesstimates" they added more diamonds to the cross pendant. But unbeknownst to me. Advice: When a customer tells you what they are looking for - you honor it. If you are not able to do so, please notify your customers (in advance) because you are aware or should know ahead of time (if you are having challenges being committed to your business obligations) and let the customer decide how they wish to spend their monies. If I decided to opt out of purchasing the item I would have been the "bad guy." Never put your customers in a position to take accountability for the irresponsibility in keeping your customers informed should be a good business practice. The husband and wife team (work great together) I do believe they are honest. If I don't somehow believe this to be true; this means: $15,000 spent is tarnished with skepticism. Another thing, there communication skills are impaired. The wife called me (per my request about a piece of jewelry) and twice, hung up without leaving a message - I didn't feel any need to return a "missed call" because I missed it. You are a business merchant, so you leave a message. Nonetheless, I made it a point to come into the store. The wife was engaged with a customer and the husband barely spoke to me; neither one made an attempt to assist me. Funny, on this day, I was prepared to drop $8,000 on gifts and send them two names of friends whom each would spend $10 grand a month for their own accessories.. I wish them the best. My experience was good prior to being ignored. I'll never refer or patron their business again. My advice: (1) learn your customers name, (2) if you call - leave a voice message, (3) and NEVER allow any customer to walk away without you acknowledging their business; especially when they sought you for jewelry products and services; moreover, and spent cash money without having been referred. .You loss a valuable business customer due to your inability to communicate which is Customer Service 101. read more

My 1964 platinum engagement ring needed eight worn down prongs reinforced. The Repair gentlemen worked on it quickly as I watched. I'm grateful the diamond is now secure and appreciate the skill and courtesy. Several jewelers each busy on their own project reminded me of similar repairs at our neighbors shop in the past, way west in Woodland Hills and that was a comfort. I would not recommend. Fiancé and I bought a custom wedding band from one of the stalls. When we arrived to pick it up there were chips on the inside and a weird mark on the outside. After pointing it out they offered to have it remade by the manufacturer and even said we could hold on to the blemished one until the new one arrived. Minutes after leaving they asked for the blemished ring back. Only 3 days later they called to tell us the "new" ring was done. Well we got there and it was the same ring but patched. I pointed out the same mark on the outside and the seller kept insisting they "didn't see anything" until I would not back down and she then felt it. Anyway we got a refund but narrowly escaped being scammed. read more

We went to several jewelers, Kays/Zales/Kevins and even went to more expensive outlets, but they were asking $30-40 to resize it in about 2 weeks. My mom frequents this place cause she always loses a certain earring (that they make a perfect replica of) so she told me to check it out. In 15 minutes, for the cost of $10, they resized the ring. It is beyond perfect nad you can't even tell that it was ever any bigger. When I was living in Glendale, this was a great place to go near by and get fine gold and silver jewelry. Their prices are always "market price" but they try to give a small discount always if asked. When in a hurry, this place is reliable to find something fast. There are about 10-12 different vendors under the same roof. Bring cash to get a little bigger discount.
