Daniel's Little Mexico is seriously one of the "best of" Louisville and surrounding areas when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Food and service are always top notch. Meals come freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. This location is super nice, just like the two others currently. The menu packs so many delicious items so everyone can find something to suit their tastes regardless what they're looking for. I'm fairly certain the margaritas are epic here as well though I've yet to try one...maybe next time!!

I was saddened when Las Palmas closed. I loved Las Palmas and we visited three or four times a month, but I was interested in seeing what was going to replace it. It took quite a while, but Daniel's Little Mexico finally opened in January, so we visited the first weekend. We were greeted almost immediately after we sat down and brought the requisite chips and salsa. The interior had been completely re-done. The walls are now bright and colorful. The furniture is new, colorful, and entertaining. They've completely modified the front counter and bar area. In short, it received a complete makeover. Even the exterior got a fresh coat of paint and some updating. The place looks NICE! The menu is enormous. It's got all the familiar Mexican items in various combinations and a few specialties. My thing of late, the thing I judge a Mexican restaurant by, are the birria tacos. In the case of Daniel's those come in the form of quesabirria tacos. (birria tacos with cheese, to make them even more decadent). On my first visit I ordered the quesabirria tacos and *BOOM* I was sold. The accompanying consomme, accented with cilantro and onion, was perfect. On a subsequent visit I had the Chicken Nachos Don Juan. I'm not generally one for rice and black beans on nachos, being somewhat a nacho purest, but these were AMAZINGLY good! The staff at Daniel's is constantly on the move. Whether it's clearing table, taking orders, or getting drink refills, the staff hustles! While it's not normally the thing you talk about in a review, they also remodeled the bathrooms -- entirely. The bathrooms are now colorful and bright and, (if I may) fun! Very nicely decorated and themed to the restaurant perfectly. I know there's a certain novelty of "Hey, let's check out the new place!" when a new restaurant opens, but honestly, I don't see this fervor dying down. Daniel's Little Mexico is some seriously good stuff.

Smaller Mexican spot off Blakenbaker. Spacious parking lot on site. Was seated right away but there isn't a ton of seating on the inside so might have a wait on a weekend night during the prime time for dinner. Quick service throughout the night. Enjoyed the tacos and fajitas we had.

Holy margaritas!! I was so excited to try this place after driving by their building a few months ago and waiting for them to open. I had seen online about their margarita flights so of course I had to get one. It wasn't listed on the menu so I had to ask and thankfully I did, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious as well, especially chips and salsa! Service was great and I can't wait to go back!

Best Mexican restaurant in Louisville, no contest. We have gone 3 Fridays in a row now and it has blown us away each time. So flavorful, such good quality, amazing service, and great value. We got the steak fajitas for one (more than enough for 2!), a chicken taco salad, and my son got the kids pollo con arroz. The queso is the best I've ever had - also make sure you ask for the hot salsa (way better than the mild). Service is friendly, attentive, and quick. This is our new weekly spot - we can't wait for Fridays to go to "Little Mexico"!

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!
