Very cute place, service was prompt, pleasant and professional. I ordered the enchiladas mole (three chicken enchiladas served with mole. Served with a side of rice, lettuce, tomato and sour cream). This was a large serving and very nice. I rate places on how decent their mole sauce is and this one was very nice. Also tried the chorizo and queso - i mean, how do you mess up meat and melted cheese? This was also very delicious. 2 salsas are brought to the table, one smooth, one chunky. We arrived for an early dinner and were seated immediately outside on the inner patio. Our server was very prompt and took our drink orders quickly. Several margaritas were on special for happy hour! The salsa was authentic and had a spicy and mild option. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito, and something was just a little off. It could have been the refried beans inside. *DoorDash Review* After a very long day, I found myself very hungry with very little energy and very little sense of adventure. I knew I needed comfort food but wasn't sure where to turn in an unfamiliar town. Scrolling through DoorDash, I saw Yellow Cactus wasn't far away and looked appetizing from the photos. I did a quick once over the menu and opted for enchiladas and a veggie quesadilla with a side of guacamole. It arrived a short while later and everything traveled well since it wasn't a long drive. I didn't care for the guac, but everything else was tasty. I even brought the quesadilla leftovers back home (8hr drive) and had it later, just as good lol. Really a disappointment. Really more like 1.5 stars, but I rounded up. Didn't check rating first since we were going to try to eat at the El Mundo patio but it was closed. The good news: - The staff is attentive. We were seated outside on an unseasonably warm February night. - The portions are generous. TONS of shredded chicken on my taco salad. Wish it actually had more lettuce. - Chicken tortilla soup is decent, but oily. - the ladies restroom was average, but still funky smelling. The bad news: - Not one, but two screwed up drink orders in a row. - Easily the worst, watered down margarita I've ever had. - The free tortilla chips had a weird chemically taste. - No soup containers to take to go. They gave me a foil container with a plastic lid that didn't seal in liquid. - Food was bland and chicken was dry and not shredded up very well. - After picking up our plates, we waited and waited for our check to arrive. I just want to let people know that this restaurant lied straight to my face about something on the menu. I asked for a crab chimichanga and asked the owner and the server was it real crab or imitation? They said it was real when it came out, it was imitation you can tell the difference. I will never go there again and did not appreciate the way they handled it. Wonder if I was allergicto the imitation crab meat, then they would've been trouble, but thank God I just prefer real crab and would've paid for it. read more

Delicious margaritas & chorizo that isn't greasy! Was walking to a nearby store and noticed this place advertising their drink specials & decided to stop in, glad I did! We were seated immediately & received warm chips with salsa. I ordered the pineapple margarita and it was made with real pineapple. My husband & I split a huge burrito, it was large enough where both of us were full at the end. The chorizo on top was not greasy & made it delicious, one of the few chorizos I've ever liked. We came in at an awkward time (about 4) so it was a little quieter but by the time we left more guests were arriving. Would visit again! read more

If you're looking for cheap drinks, this is probably the place. The food is underwhelming. Had the Birria tacos, fajita burrito and both lacked any kind of seasoning or flavor profile. Accompanying beans and rice were crusty and old. Basic chips and salsa were also a bit sad - more like tomato sauce. Service was fine - food came hot and d quickly, but we never saw our server after ordering. Didn't offer water at all and we could have used a few refills. Pretty disappointing overall. read more

Inedible took one bite spit it back out opened up the burrito it was barely cooked (not rare - but raw) looked like they took it out of the trash or recycled the last persons food - they also brought out the food quicker than taco bell brings out an order so they probably did take it out of the trash. The parking lot is small but was not crowded on the Friday evening I visited at about 8:00 p.m. (when I visited the previous restaurant they were so busy I had to park on the street b/c back parking lot so full). I know the food industry has suffered since the pandemic so I want to be kind and fair to businesses in the industry. If I had a suggestion it would be to focus on the quality of the food as far as authenticity and freshness. Also, get some servers who hustle and know how to wait tables and check on customers they are serving. Also, I don't think I am supposed to pay the surcharge for the credit card -the business should. If they do not like to accept credit cards maybe they should be a cash only establishment but they would struggle to stay competitive. I wish them luck on this new venture but to me, this is not a place run by seasoned restauranteurs. Was happy to learn this was opening close to home. We'd been driving to the east end location regularly and loved it. This location was a disappointment. The menu was pared down and the prices were 20+ percent higher. As a final insult, they added 3.5% fee for using a credit card. Not bad but not good either. Most bland Mexican food I've ever had. Salsa tasted like a bowl of crushed tomatoes straight out of the can ( no seasoning either) friend said the spicy salsa had flavor but extremely hot. Probably won't go back. read more
