The first call, he sounded super helpful. The second call he sounded so busy that he couldn't come by. He also kept implying that I bought a used car and that he couldn't do it on a used car. I have a brand new car. He kept saying couldn't do instead of what he could do and told me to try budget locking key. He wanted me to tow my car to him and he would charge me $300. Great! The tow truck guy came and they had the wrong type of tow truck. He couldn't tow it. offered to Uber him here, he said that he had a work van and that since he had already done his route to the oceanfront from town center that he would charge me $125 over the phone. If you are trying to figure out how to get keys for your car, Daniel is by far the best solution. There are so many transponders and chip key systems these days, you need someone who has taken the time and spent the money to solve car key issues. I have gone to the dealer which was much more expensive and a pain. You have to wait for an appointment, drop your car off and wait. I think the dealer calls a locksmith to come to the dealership and marks it up big time. Many locksmiths can give it a try and it may or may not work. Posted my requirements here at YELP and provided additional information so that the various companies would have as much information as possible when contacting me about the job (key broken off inside home deadbolt, no remnant remaining externally to grab with pliers). I do not know how many locksmiths YELP contacted with my information. I only received four replies. Of those Daniel's was the easy choice. He was: 1. Professional, polite, and pleasant 2. Timely and detailed in his communications with me, including follow-up 3. Two of the four were charging half again as much for the service 4. One of the four replies was too lacking in detail to be able to make any decision. Daniel contacted me when he was on the way from the previous job that day. Arrived on time, had his facemask and though in work clothing his appearance was clean and presentable. The work he did was quick and effective. In the process he identified a potential problem with my locks wearing due to age (thirty five years old) and I had him repair that as well. My keys, though not quite as old were worn with age and he replaced the bad lock cylinder and cut fresh keys for it matching my existing set.
