I'm still sitting in the parking lot of this business. I got a key fob programmed and a key cut for my truck. There are two gentleman inside working. I asked the older man how much it would be after he informed me that they couldn't guarantee the programing would work. he replied it would run me around $55. the younger man did the work. he came back in and after maybe 10 min he told me my truck was ready. right before that I heard him ask the older gentleman did he give me a price? the older gentleman said no. I went to pay and he told me $103.50. so did he charge me 45.00 to cut a key? Either way I will not be back. read more

After losing my keys, I called Maury Kroll to have a lock cut from my storage unit door (the storage unit said it would be a 2 week wait to have their person cut it!). The woman I spoke with said she could have someone out in 20 min and quoted a very fair price. The man that arrived was very kind and polite. He attempted to drill the lock open first but that wasn't working so he set up his angle cutter, cut the lock quickly after that, I paid him and that was it. Super easy and simple. This company is amazing. I have an antique secretary desk from the late 1700's with the original glass. My fear was that the glass would be broken when trying to fix this piece. The key to this piece became stuck and then broke off in the lock. It was an unusable desk at this point. No one could figure out how to fix it. I called the Maury Kroll company, under advice from an antique dealer in Norfolk. They said this is the only locksmith they use on their antiques. The locksmith, Timothy, was incredibly personal, timely, professional, and knowledgeable . He performed his magic and was able to get the stuck piece out and by luck he had an old key that fit. This place is great! I had two exterior door lock packages I bought from Home Depot and had them key both sets and make 4 additional keys. I was told it would take a half hour and I was out of there, paid and everything, in 20 minutes! These guys are old school and won't take any crap from people trying to abuse their services. They replaced my car door lock and ignition switch at a more than reasonable price for the time and labor that was involved. Even cut me a few extra keys for free. My hat's off to the folks at this location. They're very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and efficient. I made the mistake in going to a competitor to troubleshoot and maybe purchase a replacement key fob for my vehicle. Store person was friendly and patient and ordered me a new or refurbished key fob. Unfortunately, after several weeks and a couple of calls that ended with the response, "we'll call back when order has arrived." Nice folks but no results. Then I decided to reach out to the Maury Kroll locksmith folks and the gentleman who waited on me tested my old fob and understood I needed a new one. He explained that it won't take a week after ordering one and whenever I was ready to return he'd fix me up. Sure enough within a week and a few minute later, I was out the door a very satisfied customer. I recommend this business.
