The pizza is great. They are very generous with their toppings the crust is thin and crispy. The wings are evenly wet and very meaty. What this place lacks is in their delivery and carry out service. Very unprofessional and careless. I ordered food online for delivery. I receive a phone call stating that they didn't deliver to my home address. Hence I had ordered from them that same week and there was no issue. Not wanting to cancel my order because again the food is great I decided to pick up myself. Once I get there I am asked to sign my receipt and a copy is not given back. So I requested my receipt as I wanted to make sure that I didn't get charged for delivery. Receipt copies should be given not upon request. I did not review my order before leaving because I was trying to rush home since everyone was hungry. As I get home and open my order. They had screwed up my wing order. They gave me boneless with flavors I didn't even request. Remember this was ordered online so the error was on them for either handing me the wrong order or making the wrong wings. Tired and hungry after going through a long day of moving homes we decided to just eat what was given to us. The staff needs to be more attentive and organized at what they are doing. They need to also look into their online order system and update what locations they can deliver to. I prefer online ordering because everytime I call for an order we spend 30 min trying to find my address. My recommendation for Dannys get better staff and a more updated system. The foos is great but I don't know I might find an alternative. read more

The service we had at Danny's was not good. I've worked in restaurants most of my life, so I am usually pretty understanding when I go out to eat, but overall it seemed like an inexperienced/unorganized wait staff. The restaurant was not that busy when we went and there seemed to be plenty of employees working. We waited 5 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of open tables because the hostess was waiting for someone to wipe off one table for us (during this time at least 3 servers asked us if we needed to be seated, but no one was wiping off the table). We then waited at least 10 minutes for someone to come over and ask us for our drink order. We almost left at this time and probably should have. This was during Happy Hour so we wanted to order quickly to get the deals but no one was coming to the table. After we ordered, we got our drinks and appetizers quickly. One meal came out soon after the appetizers but then two of us at the table waited another 15-20 for our meals to come. The other person in our party had already finished their food before ours came. We then waited even longer for the check to come and then when someone finally came, they took 10 more minutes to bring back our credit card. We mentioned to multiple servers that we were waiting for someone to swipe our card and bring it back but that didn't make a difference. The food was not worth dealing with the service, so we will not be going back. read more

Pizza was good but nothing to write home about. The burgers and appetizers the people sitting next to us looked pretty good. I have been here a few time. Their pizza is yummy I am a fan of their sauce.Their pizza puffs could use some more sauce but they are tasty as well. Wings are good but could be saucier. The mango habanero flavor was in my opinion wack by the classic buffalo was yummy. The drinks are pretty tasty and the beer selection is plentiful. My father-in-law has always been a big fan of their pizza and was heart-broken when the previous owners sold. My wife and I have visited twice since the reopening. The first visit, we had to try the pizza to see if it was the same. Good news for my father-in-law, it's the same old tough/chewy crust and bland sauce just like he has loved for years! Second visit, I had to try one of these "craft burgers". When ordering the Mushroom Boom, I was NOT asked how I would like my burger cooked - So, I specified medium rare. The waitress said they could only do medium, medium well, or well. I'm like WTF?!? That is a sign of poor quality beef if you cannot cook the patty less than medium. Yuck! I was hell bent on getting a burger so, "medium" it was. Sure enough, dried out, no flavor - Not good. My wife ordered hot wings and tomato soup for her dinner and she shared them with me. The soup was homemade-good and the wing was a wing - I'm a sucker for wings and I would order these again. They have several local brewery beers on tap which is always good to see. The pizza is the only thing that is still Danny's - Everything else is new... Right down to the urinals that actually flush now! Have been here a few times in the the past few months. Great burgers, food pretty good overall. At my age(45) I've come to appreciate good service, and I've never been wowed here. But that never kept me from returning. On my last visit, roughly 12/01/2018, my fiancé and I visited Dannys for dinner. It was a slow night as there were only two or three tables seated. We were seated immediately. THAT WAS IT.. we sat at our table for over ten minutes as the staff and and a larger gentleman I whom I can only assume was the manager or owner socialized near the bar. Not even a glass of water. We finally got up and walked our way out when one of the staff members had the nerve to say thanks for coming. Piss poor management. We will not return, neither will anyone I know if I can help it. Too many good restaurants in the area to put up with that garbage. read more

My husband and I are already regulars here! Like others have said, we needed a place like this here in Garfield Ridge! I love the food and the staff are all super friendly and the restaurant is really nice and clean. The owner is fantastic! My husband asked if they would carry his beer, and on our next visit they had it! Very accommodating. It does get loud in there and you will have a wait for a table during busy times, but that's expected. (The patio is great too!) I wish they had more booths - or maybe reserved the one there for larger groups. Yes, they have some glitches, but they are on the way to being HUGE! read more

Just got done eating an amazing burger and servers were quick to attend us so it looks like they're getting it together. I read some of th reviews and I could see them taking longer to bring the food out for larger parties (it was only two of us) but they were quick and friendly to us. This place can be something. As others have pointed out, what they lack in service skills they make up for with genuine friendliness. Although it isn't very big, we had to hunt down the hostess as she ignored us every time she ran right past the hostess station. We did get seated quickly though. The servers seemed overwhelmed as well. We got our appetizer, no plates. My wife ordered wings as her entree, and got them 10 minutes before everyone else, our burgers arrived without any condiments on the table, not even ketchup. When the food came out, one of the food runners had no idea what she had in her hand. The good part, the food was great! The basic burger arrived looking very appetizing and anything but basic. The Cuban sandwich didn't look like a Cuban sandwich at all, but the flavor was very satisfying. The wings actually were a little disappointing. Although they are are meaty, this is not the place for wings and I hope they get them right eventually. I had the Farmhouse burger and it was great - the bacon was amazing, the patty delicious, tasty pickles, lettuce, and a fried egg to go along. We didn't try the pizza, and on that note, they do not have small personal pizzas for kids so beware. I really hope this place works out the kinks and turns into the legit family/social/sports restaurant all of Garfield Ridge has been waiting for. The food is there, the warm friendly servers are there, but without a few improvements this place can very easily turn into another ghetto Guides or Bohicas. read more

She was attentive to our needs, smiled and made us feel welcomed. Just had my first pizza with new owners and Happy to report it's reasonably close to the original. I think the cheese is definitely lighter, but crust is very close and sausage is spot on.For some reason there was a lot of black pepper on this one, enough to have a bite the more you ate.Also, a lot of corn meal in box. Not a taste issue, but kind of messy. Just opened so there will be a learning curve. Delivery was faster than promised and was hot out of the oven, Delivery woman was very nice. I'm sure the debate on how close it is to original will go on, but am very happy to have Dannys again and be able to dial that number I'll always know by heart. # 1 in the neighborhood when I want a pizza at home. read more

The first time I went there was dine in. Great service! I was impressed with their wings, had their spicy sweet cajun and mango habanero ones, plus a pizza. I order for a takeout twice after that. I was not that impressed. First take out I had classic buffalo wings that were chewy and their tots soggy. The second take out again the sweet potatoe fries soggy and chips too greasy but their mushroom boom burger was great. The fig jam burger was ok, the meat lack flavor. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon about 4pm. Greeted by the hostess, table for 3. Within a few minutes our waiter Freddy came and took our drink orders. Buffalo wings were good size and warm. My Southwest salad was huge and delicious! Loved it. Husband had the Farmers burger very good, son had the Fig burger, he enjoyed it. My first experience at Danny's was very good, all 3 of us enjoyed our orders. Looking forward to returning. Freddy was attentive. read more

Always wanted to visit Danny's and try there pizza. We finally did. We walked in and was given a friendly greeting. Our waitress was great, friendly, efficient, knew when we needed something and I can't say anything bad about her. We ordered a deep dish pizza and was very disappointed in it. When our waitress brought it to the table, she advised us to let it rest, so it could set up. We did. When I went to serve the first slice, the cheese was sliding off the pizza. There was also a lot of grease on the pizza. The sauce is watery and it looks like there are little tomato pieces in it. Could not taste the sauce at all. When serving the second and even third piece of pizza, the cheese was still sliding (not as much as the first slice, though the pizza should of been set by now). My husband had one of there specialty burgers and loved it. It came with sweet potatoes fries sprinkled with cinnamon. He enjoyed them. I would go back. I might try the thin crust pizza, but would love to try one of there burgers. read more

Husband and I just had dinner at Danny's (got in before the end of happy hour!) Food was good as always but I wanted to note the service; Samia was our server and she was on it. Her timing for all her tables was perfect. I watched her handle six tables and no one waited for anything. Before we left, I made sure to compliment her directly and to her boss. I am so happy that we went with Danny's to celebrate my son's 11th birthday. The food was outstanding and everyone felt welcomed and really enjoyed themselves. I am so grateful to Jason and his team, who did everything possible to accommodate our large party and make sure we were well taken care of. The wings, pizza and beer were on point, so glad we can get great pizza and excellent local craft brews without having to leave the south side. Let me start by saying when we heard Stefano was closing Danny's we were heartbroken. However, when we found out the owners of Villa Rosa had bought it and were keeping the same pizza recipe, we were thrilled. We love Villa Rosa and go there quite often. We ordered pizza for pickup and were very pleased as it was delicious. So, we decided to walk down and have dinner there at the restaurant. First, the new place is gorgeous but whoever designed the layout totally miss the mark. When you walk in, the waiting area is extremely small and this is also the same area for pickup. There were people packed into this little room, people waiting inside the restaurant, and waiting outside. We went in and waited to give our name to be seated. We were told since it was just the two of us, we would be seated quickly. We were seated 25 minutes later only because we asked why people who came in after us were seated before us. They said because they were waiting for a table for 2 to open. We stated there is a table right there and the young girl tells us it has 3 chairs - seriously? She finally decide to sit us down. After about 10 minutes our waitress comes to take our order. We said we have not been given menus yet and she states well you should have gotten them when you were seated. She walks away to get us menus. We then ordered 2 garden salads, wings, and a pizza. 25 minutes later, we still have not received our salads. We stop our waitress and ask what is going on. She goes to check and comes back to tell us the kitchen is extremely busy and they fill orders how they are put into the kitchen but they should beup shortly. 15 minutes go byand she stops and say 1 salad is ready just waiting on the next one. I told my wife I bet all our food shows up at the same time. Sure enough, our salads come (nothing worth waiting 45 minutes for), wings show up with the wrong sauce choice, and 5 minutes later the pizza shows up. We barely ate one wing each and the busboy comes by and asks if he could take our plates. Now, even though we had the wrong sauce, the wings were good as was the pizza. Few other things bothered us, there is no where for people to wait for their tables so they are standing all over the restaurant. We had a party of 6 standing right next to us as we are trying to eat. The kitchen is on the opposite side of the front door, so you have people walking back and forth through the tables bringing up the takeout orders. The waitress were all over the restaurant instead of having a section so its difficult for them to keep track of their tables and what their customers may need like refills on drinks. I really hope the owners can get it together soon and figure out the bugs. We really need a place like Danny's in the neighborhood. read more

I love Danny's Pizza for delivery. I have ordered several times since their reopening (have not dined-in). The delivery service and taste keep getting better. Their crust is thin, crispy on the bottom, soft on the inside. The sauce is very tasty.
