Finished one portion then had to go back for seconds!

First time having a Chicago pizza. Andrew helped us with selecting the proper slices. We had the thin crust pepperoni and sausage deep dish (stuffed). There was so much delicious cheese, and the bread was nice and mildly crispy with the taste of butter. It was so good that we had to get seconds (at the risk of missing our flight out of Midway-- we came here during our layover)! Definitely will be coming back here and recommending my place to my friends.

    The hot wings

The pizza is so good I would definitely order from here again. However, the wings are gummy like and hardly had any chicken which sucked because the sauce was good overall! I would order again just not the wings and the lady over the phone was nice

Solid pizza joint that does a ton of to go business. We had a long layover, so we hopped in an Uber and came over here based on reviews. It was less than a ten min drive from the airport. We got an antipasta salad that had a good amount of meats and cheese with cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots. The pizza came out cooked all the way thru with a crispy crust. The sauce on top was very fresh. The only thing I wish was that the pepponi had a bit more flavor. If you like a pizza in its simplest form, with fresh ingredients, this is the place to come. The place is small inside with about 5 tables, but most of their business appeared to be to go orders. They also have pizza by the slice. The staff was very friendly and let us hang out and occupy a table for a couple of hours. I definitely would come back here if in Chicago. Prices are much cheaper than the airport, so if you have the time, call in an order and head over. Don't let the small unassuming place from the outside fool you. I also got a cannoli, which I have never had before (so I have no comparison), it was ok - very, very sweet.

First time in Chicago and me and a couple other guys are on a work trip. Found this place close to the hotel. We got the stuffed cheese and the stuffed Cipriani's special. They were absolutely fantastic. This is an older establishment and it's more of a take out spot than a dine in. They have a handful of tables though. Customer service was great. For my first Chicago pizza experience I'm very satisfied!

Pizza- half garlic pepperoni and half garlic sausage.

The pizza wasn't bad but there are definitely better pizzas in Chicago and in the local neighborhood. The dipping sauce for the cheese sticks had a nice spice to them. The location is near midway and has a small dining area with a handful of seats. It also appeared they offered delivery. Not a bad option if you live nearby and want something walking distance but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Had a connecting flight from Midway International Airport and our flight got delayed for a few hours. What better way to make the best of the situation and seek out what Chicago is most known for -- Deep Dish Pizzzzza! I found Cipriani's Pizza on a quick Yelp search and the group and I decided it would be a good choice since it's located about a couple miles away from the airport. This joint is a small family owned business which I appreciate but the staff who were running the front of the house were simply rude and uninviting. I will note that they were not rude to patrons coming in and out to pick up pizza, and that could be because they were locals or regulars. I guess we gave off that 'out-of-town-er' energy because we were met with very mediocre hospitality. We ordered two Deep Dish Pizzas (one cheese and one of their specials), one thin crust sausage pizza, two large salads, and six sodas for $80.00 -- which is not too bad of a tab. The pizzas took about 45 minutes to make which could be an issue if you're walking in hangry after a full day of traveling. The pizza sauce was definitely a hit but the crust on both the thin crust and deep dish just didn't do it for me. I don't know if this was the "Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Experience" but I will share I was not too impressed. Note to owners: ask the ladies in the front to be a bit more warm and helpful. Maybe it would create a better first impression for first time visitors.

We ordered the pepperoni deep dish and the pepperoni tavern style. The deep dish arrives in a cast iron pan, featuring caramelized crust that edges on burnt for a perfect, crispy crunch. The base is thick and doughy, layered with some mozzarella, a tasty sauce, and slightly charred pepperoni. The tavern style provides a nice contrast. Served cut into squares, it has a solid thin crust that holds up nicely under some melted cheese and loads of flat pepperoni. This remains my absolute favorite deep dish in Chicago, and I go anytime I'm in town visiting. Pro tip: Make a reservation well in advance because walk-in wait times get incredibly long.

My sister made reservations ahead of time, so we got seated quickly on the 2nd floor. We did have to have the large booth cleaned as there was pop on the seats and lots of crumbs in the corners of the booth. Kinda not so cool when we got there at 11:30, shortly after they opened. We ordered a small salad, a large pan pizza (this is not deep dish people...it's more like a round Detroit style pizza) w/just cheese and a large tavern style w/half sausage and half pepperoni w/the pepperoni on top of the cheese. Service was good, if not slow. Of course, you have to wait for the pan pizza, but we knew that. The tavern style came out first, just as we ordered it and piping hot. While the pizza was good, the crust wasn't as crispy as we care for. It was super cheesy...so we got some good cheese pull there. The pan came out and looked good, but when it came to cheese pull, it left a lot to be desired. The caramelized crust is good, but the pan pizza was nothing that blew our socks off. Decent, yes, but not that noteworthy. Would i go back?? All i can say is i wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but if i was near in a pinch, it would suffice.

However we arrived earlier than scheduled and we ended up getting settled at our hotel so we walked and went in early. We arrived at 4pm and they let us in - was perfect because it wasn't busy. It's my son's first visit to Chi-town so I think this is a good first meal. We got the Chicago meatballs so we can eat something as the deep dish pizza takes 30 mins. The meatballs are flavorful and filled us up until we get our pizza. We picked the Malnati's Chicago classic - medium. The butter crust is really good and the cheese to meet ratio is balanced. While it is deep dish - it didn't feel like it's super thick, I think the butter crust was the difference. It was quiet when we arrived and we were seated in the dining area by the back in the ground level. There was only 1 group and another couple when we arrived so it wasn't loud. I'm sure when it's peak hours it'll be more festive and busy. Great first meal - order some starters if you're hungry. We came with a party of six and had a reservation for six, but our table felt more appropriate for four people. The restaurant itself is spacious, so it was disappointing that we felt so cramped. We started with the calamari, which I really enjoyed. The batter was light and crispy without feeling greasy. We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. It was satisfyingly chewy with a great texture and bold flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was light, balanced, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food was delicious and the waterfront setting made for a lovely dinner. I just wish we had been seated at a more comfortable table for our party size.

The mozzarella sticks were very silky on the inside crunchy on the outside and came with a nice flavorful pomodoro dip. The meatballs had an Italian sausage/fennel flavor and were very tender, and the zucchini chips were the star of the apps!! Nice and crisp, they were cut into little super thin chips not like a traditional fried zucchini and the dipping sauce on that was also delicious and super fresh tasting Finally, we tried the spicy vodka tavern style pizza and added pepperoni to half.
