My husband and I went there last night for the first time. Upon entering, the place had a cute vibe, decor was interesting. But it was cramped and crowded and seemed they just threw a bunch of tables and chairs in a room To add in as many customers as they could. At first they were going to put us at a table so close to the one next to it , we might as well have joined in with that party. But then they moved us to a bigger table upon our request. They brought out bread and olive oil and to our surprise the bread was room temperature which was disappointing. My husband attempted to order Coke Zero and we were surprised when they said they don't have Coke Zero, only Diet Coke. I tried to order iced tea and they had no iced tea stating they only have Coke products. Another surprise, as being in the south you'd think they'd have it. For the main course my husband ordered the Pork Tenderloin & Gnocchi. He said it was fabulous, tons of flavor and really good. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same about mine. I got fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Fettuccini Alfredo is a favorite dish of mine and this was one of the worse I've had. It lacked flavor/ very mild. Last but not least, when they brought out the bill is when we learned there's a service charge fee of $3 if you pay with a credit card. Something not advertised on their website or upon booking. I rolled in a few minutes before my reservation time and they went ahead and got me seated while I was waiting for everyone else and my party doubled from the time. I got the RSVPs and made the reservation until they got there so they were able to push them tables together for us at the last minute. Devon was our server and he was absolutely amazing. They were out of a few items which devastated a few of my friends, but everything that we got from the appetizers and the drinks to the entrées, everything was absolutely fantastic! So much so that we forgot to take many pictures. I got the pork tenderloin and gnocchi and this was life-changing.! read more

Okay, I give this place 5 stars for their customer service and food flavor, even with the negative side at the end of this review. They make all their pasta in house, which I love! They were having an event in the main room, but still gave us all the attention we needed. Loved their menu selections! Super helpful server. We were served focaccia bread, which unfortunately was cold...seemed like an odd choice, but maybe that's not normal. We ordered the bolognese and chicken Parmesan, but subbed the marinara for vodka sauce. It came out in around 15 minutes. My friend and I were sharing our food, and so we each gave some to the other to try. I noticed after giving her some of my chicken parm that the chicken looked odd (low light, so I wasn't sure). I cut into the middle and noticed it was still very raw in the middle. Told her not to eat it, but she'd already had a bite. Thankfully it was the end piece and nothing bad ever happened to her! We showed the waiter and he started a whole new order for me. The manager came over and profusely apologized and said my meal would be covered by them. I've been to places before where things like this happen and no one ever comes to apologize, so this leadership was what kept the 5 star review here. Took longer this time to cook, but was happy about that haha. When it came out, it was delicious! Sadly though the pasta was a little firmer than al dente, it was marinara instead of vodka sauce, and the noodle was thinner than the first round. Which was just humorous later haha. But nice to try both sauces! Vodka sauce was definitely the way to go though! So order that if you're ever here! They came out once we were finished and told us both of our meals were covered because we weren't able to eat together. So 11/10 for customer service. Thanks for a delicious meal, even with the chicken error. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Great experience and food at Danny's Italian. We enjoyed mixed drinks, calamari, Caesar salad, and veal meatball/pasta. We personally didn't enjoy the veal but everything else was delicious, including the best tiramisu I've had in years. Once recommendation would be to serve warm focaccia instead of cool bread. read more

At first I stopped at Danny's Pasta, hich is a takeout only sopt further up College St. They advertised that their pastas are home made, but the store is so small, I couldn't see that happening there. I asked and they answered that all the pastas are made at Danny full service restaurant down the street, so that's where I went. Danny's Italian hasn't been opened long, but they definitely had it together. The space is beautiful with a small bar and the wood fired pizza oven visible. The menu was pretty simple, but enough options for everyone. I ordered a Caesar salad and prawns on capellini. Food was very nicely presented and tasted great. It was a great lunch. Hope I can get back for dinner sometime. read more

We were seated at booth closest to the door promptly. The check in stand is towards the middle of the restaurant and boy was it fun watching people walk in and not know what to do. Our waitress was extremely helpful with telling us about the specials. I ordered a cosmopolitan but she said they use cherry juice instead of cranberry. It was amazing. Had the arancini balls for appetizer, I've had them every time we eat here. So good and unique. We split the house salad which is full of balsamic vinegar cucumbers and red onions, so good. She brought slices of bread but I passed because I was having the special pizza of the night. My companion had the lobster shrimp ravioli. It was stuffed and on top, very nice dish. This is the most authentic Italian food in town. They cut no corners on giving you fresh food. You can tell the employees are an excellent team of people. I've been several times and always find something different I want to try. I'll keep coming back until I try it all. You won't be disappointed, go ahead and make your reservation. read more

We had the pizza slice, lasagna, tiramisu & the very best cannoli I've ever tasted! The staff were very helpful in making menu decisions and the food was ready quickly! There is no inside dining, fyi. It was snowing outside, so we ate in the car. read more

my boyfriend and I went here for valentine's day and we were underwhelmed to say the least. was expecting some of our basic expectations to be met like a waitress who checked on us, having silverware before the app came out, food to be hot, and our meal to be worth the price. none of that happened. our appetizer came out before the bread got to our table. we waited at least 5 minutes before I got up to ask for silverware. the waitress still hadn't checked on us by the time I got my salad. the app was cold, but good. I asked about substituting the spaghetti noodle in the chicken parm for another noodle and she said no. the flavor of the pasta sauce was ... interesting. I didn't like it. my boyfriend got the steak and lobster special, it was okay but insanely overpriced. the steak was cooked well, but the lobster was the size of a jumbo shrimp and everything was room temp. the best thing we got was the bottle of wine. overall it was not worth the price at all, service was practically non existent, food was mediocre and cold. wouldn't recommend. read more

The pizza had like 1/8 tsp of minced garlic dobbed on it. There was entirely too much garlic that the entire party was ill that night. Also, we were there at 3:00 and the young lady said we couldn't order from the lunch menu nor the evening menu only the pizza and drinks were available. We were never offered drinks. If you are a restaurant a full menu should be available at all times. Was not worth the price of the pizza either. read more

The food was really great. The grilled chicken was well charred on the outside but moist on the inside. The stuffed Ravioli was topped with just enough sauce . My husband had a shrimp dish on top of pasta with a spicy red sauce- again everything cooked to perfection. We tried a side of Risotto - a blend of creaminess while the structure of rice was still apparent. The flavors : balanced between the flavor of the stock and the parm. So why just 4 stars? The waitress pegged us as middle class. When I asked for butter for the bread her response was " We NEVER give butter" There was no salt and pepper on the table and I said to my husband I'm not sure I should ask for pepper. Every time I ask for something she responds with "Of course". Her haughty attitude set a negative mood. But I had had a wonderful day with my husband I wasn't going to let her ruin it. I am a retired waitress and if she had made the effort to get the butter and not embarrass me she would have gotten a lot more than 20 %. It would have been a really lovely dining experience - worth the $100 bill we dropped on it. read more
