We wanted calzone's for lunch, and after looking online, we decided to go to Mancino's. This restaurant is located in the strip mall in Kroger's parking lot . We walked in and there were a couple of families sitting and eating pizzas. The restaurant needs an update for sure. We looked at the menu for a minute and decided on the ham calzone and the steak calzone. We got small ones because we wanted dessert. The young man greeted us and helped us with sizing on the calzones. He also told us about the cinnamon sticks when my husband mentioned that he wanted dessert. We got our drinks, found a table, and waited for our calzones. They didn't take very long (about 7-8 minutes). First they brought our cinnamon sticks and frosting out on a pizza tray (which totally surprised us), then they brought out our calzones. The calzone was piping hot from the oven, so I had to grab plastic ware to be able to eat it. It was tasty - chock full of cheese, onions, peppers, and steak. The cinnamon sticks were good. Overall we enjoyed our food, and we hope that the atmosphere of the restaurant changes for the better. read more

My son and I ate there for lunch this week and were pleasantly surprised. The young girl at the counter was most helpful with recommendations and was very friendly and outgoing. We ordered a calzone and chicken alfredo pasta. Everything was piping hot! (I hate barely warm food!) The portions were huge...we took most of it home for dinner which was great because I hate to cook. ;) My son said the calzone was very good and I enjoyed the pasta as well. The pizza here is great. The service is not. Very very slow. I come here once every two weeks and they always forget something, making my order take longer. They either forget the cheese bread side, or forget one of the pizzas. I've even tried to mitigate the issue by ordering before I dine in to make the wait less, but still end up waiting about 30 minutes every time I order. One of the causes I've noticed is that the store seems to be run by very young people under 30. Would do the business some good to have someone older with customer service experience managers. Update- went back today and I've never gone to a restaurant other than Mancinos where their front of house employee- in this case the lady taking orders at the counter- scowls at everyone coming in. She wasn't having a bad day, because I've seen this behavior every time I've been here and she is taking orders. My wife greeted her with a hello, and the lady's scowl didn't change. The four people in line ahead of us were all treated to the same scowl. When we finished ordering she didn't thank us for coming in or for our business. It appeared to be an inconvenience for us to be eating here. I'm done with this place. read more

We happened upon this location when on a trip that took us through Bowling Green. It smelled so good when we came through the door. We ordered two different 1/2 sized grinders and a slice of cheese pizza and brownie for our granddaughter. We all really enjoyed our food. The staff was polite and the eating area was clean but could use some updates. Their garlic dipping sauce was pretty strong. read more

First time there. Not impressed. From Chicago and ordered the chicago grinder. Bread was toasted to hard. Meat was in tiny flakes so when toasted it also dried out and lost flavor.And small amoubt of mest so you got very little with the overtoasted bread. Very little mushrooms on it toasted into cheese. They should also offer A1 or steak sauce to flavor the meat. read more

My husband and I have met here for lunch a couple times. I've tried both the calzone and personal pizza. Both are good, but the personal pizza is my favorite. Crust is buttery, they are generous with cheese (which is always my biggest complaint from other pizza places) and their toppings add good flavor. For lunch they have a meal deal for $1.25 extra and it includes a side and drink. Sides are if I recall correct, a cookie, fries, chips, or garlic bread. We also come here because kids eat free everyday. Our toddler son is a light eater, so getting a free kids meal is always a plus. He really likes the ham and cheese grinder. They don't have a ton of seating, so larger groups may have to plan ahead. read more

Don't do it. Very poor customer service and very disengaged staff. Place is old and dirty. I used to love this pie when I lived in Michigan, but this is average and a bit salty. Do yourself a favor and find another place. Hate to slam them, but they deserve it. read more

The grinders were awesome. Had the Italian. My wife had the pizza grinder. We have eaten at other Mancino's up north. We were pleasantly surprised to find one here. Service was okay. Food was great. It seemed a little pricey, but a half of a grinder is huge. read more

This is a one time review. I have had good service there before. This is just about the person running the cash register. My wife and I ordered an Italian Grinder and a roast beef grinder for pickup. When we got home we had an Italian grinder and toasted cheese something or other. I was a little upset and when I asked how they could confuse roast beef with toasted cheese they told me I didn't need to be so rude. Mancinos is not a bad place but the rudeness was on the other end. We have eaten there for years and never had a problem. However, I will never go back. What really frosts me is that I gave them a $5 tip on a $15 dollar order for pickup. read more

So based on the food I received(delivered) there I wouldn't come back to this place. Got food for our family there. The grinders that we received were very dry. The "bread sticks" couldn't have been more plain and not really what I would consider sticks anyway. The fries were half cooked in my opinion that could be relative to what you like though. we didn't receive the right dipping sauces that we ordered. Overall not much I could really say that was positive about our experience there. Expensive and mediocre is how I can describe what we received. I had food delivered and was not impressed. First, they forgot my drink. Second, the grinder was not much warmer than room temperature. Third, the fries weren't cooked fully, chilly, and cold. Stopped in for a Chicago grinder was disappointed. The bread was cooked perfectly but when I opened the sandwich only half the sandwich had meat on it the rest was just bread. Wasn't busy so doesn't make sense why they couldn't make it right. For the price I think I will pass on this establishment in the future. read more

I ordered Mancinos tonight though the online ordering provided by their website, I order 3 grinders (steak, seafood, and blt) and a pizza calzone. I had to run a couple errands before I could go to Mancinos. I arrived there about 25 mins after I placed the order. I was informed that my order hadn't printed due to a technical error, so they hadn't made my order yet, so the manager at the time gave me a considerable discount for having to wait extra time. Which I was very pleased by. After getting home with my order, everything was to my request for the order and my favorite part was the calzone. I ordered the pizza calzone. Which I have decided I will order every time I order from them for now on. It was amazing. It was my first time ordering the calzone but it's far superior to any calzone from any pizzeria in town. went today have never had alfredo sauce made out of velvetta cheese before and I now know why. Did they change owners, we always loved the grinders but the bread was different and were smaller in size and quantity of meat. Haven't been for while since they closed the one on 231, but they have gone down hill. The couple at the table next to us left over a half of the pizza they ordered.everyone there was picking at their food and ssandwiches removing stuff and did not see a clean plate or any to go boxes. read more
