    Pepperoni pizza
 Italian sub
Pappardelle pasta with half marinara & half alfredo with meatballs

We were visiting downtown Bowling Green after the Corvette Caravan and looking for something good for lunch when we found Danny Pasta on Yelp. The young lady at the register was very helpful, and Danny was very nice! The menu was overhead above the register and easy to read. This is not a restaurant; it is more like a carryout. There are some tables and chairs outside, but there is no cover. I got the pappardelle pasta (all their pasta is fresh!) with half marinara & half alfredo sauce and meatballs. This is just a personal preference, so I did not take any stars off, but I prefer more sauce on my noodles and more spices in my meatballs. It was still terrific. My husband ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a sub (very much like an Italian sub). Both were sooo good. They gave us tableware to eat with. I would order from them again if ever in the area! You can also order pasta by the pound!

Yes!!! We've been waiting for this place to open! We ate in his restaurant when he was making yummy pasta in Funky Bean and now I'm so glad he gets to own his own place. He's making all his yummy homemade pastas and homemade focaccia. We ordered some yummy dinner for the whole family and it was all delicious. If we weren't moving I'd be here over and over again! Go see!!

My wife wanted pasta, so we ended up here. What a find this place is! They have been open less than a year and it is some of the best pasta/Italian food that I have had in the past few years. The owner is friendly and helpful as expected but incredibly into his business. Very polite and talkative. Very hands-on which is a plus. Pasta is made fresh daily, plates are cooked to order. Everything is neatly assembled in to-go packaging. Pizza slice was hot, fresh and tasted great because it didn't have any overwhelming flavors or spices. The same thing is said about the "build your own" pasta/sauce/meat plates we ordered. No exceedingly strong overtones of garlic you usually find in restaurants. Just right on the spices. The plates come with a breadstick. The restaurant is quaint with a counter area for ordering. Tables are outside for sit-down eating. We will have to return to get other items on the menu like focaccia bread (four flavors) and desserts (cannolis, tiramisu, etc).

Tasteless pizza, over priced and undercooked pasta. Not even good enough for a quick lunch.

But it was cramped and crowded and seemed they just threw a bunch of tables and chairs in a room To add in as many customers as they could. At first they were going to put us at a table so close to the one next to it , we might as well have joined in with that party. But then they moved us to a bigger table upon our request. They brought out bread and olive oil and to our surprise the bread was room temperature which was disappointing. My husband attempted to order Coke Zero and we were surprised when they said they don't have Coke Zero, only Diet Coke. I tried to order iced tea and they had no iced tea stating they only have Coke products. Another surprise, as being in the south you'd think they'd have it. For the main course my husband ordered the Pork Tenderloin & Gnocchi. He said it was fabulous, tons of flavor and really good. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same about mine. I got fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Fettuccini Alfredo is a favorite dish of mine and this was one of the worse I've had. It lacked flavor/ very mild. Last but not least, when they brought out the bill is when we learned there's a service charge fee of $3 if you pay with a credit card. Something not advertised on their website or upon booking. All in all, we won't return.

I started with a soup, while my brother started with a salad. They were served with these garlic rolls, which were absolutely delicious to eat both alone and with the soup. Then came time for the entrees. I got the Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana, while my brother got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. My Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana had a delicious mix of flavor and spice which I enjoyed every bite of, while my brother enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Additionally, we had thought from looking online that this would be one of our pricier meals out, but Cafe Italia actually ended up being a great value, as our meals included a soup or salad and rolls, and the portions were so generous, I needed to pack some of my entree away to eat in the morning. In short, we wholeheartly recommend Cafe Italia, both because the food is excellent but also because the portions are so large they are an excellent value. We are glad we chose to go here and would definitely come back here if in the area again.

However, I consider such places above my budget. A friend who has had pedigree dogs suggested I get some beef/pork hocks and cross-cut marrow bones for my pup. In fact, a lady later heard me talk about this somewhere and said she would be going to get some for her Great Danes. (I hope I don't cause a rush on these and then I can't get them! :-) However, I found a new venue where I can get Penn's country ham. I have a venue for Berger (sp?) ham but I actually prefer Penn's. Now I can't stop going in there to buy country ham because it's one of my favorites. Alas, the saga continues, because one day I splurged on a pint of gourmet ice cream. No, it wasn't cheap, but OH MY GOSH I can't even describe it! This shocked me because I am not much of an ice cream eater having had an intolerance for milk as a baby. This stuff is indescribably delicious! I have also found other items occasionally like huge baking potatoes or fresh corn on the cob that they occasionally have. Iim just a little annoyed that it's taken me nine years to go in and check it out. The service is very good, and there is an obvious aura of family pride in their service. Because of all their yummy delectable items, you might have to wait a few minutes because they often cut your meat while you wait.

100% would recommend this restaurant!!!!…read more we arrived right at 5pm when they open back up for the day. firstly the atmosphere and customer service is top tier. everyone is super attentive and welcoming. we started off with mixed drinks, with a very wide selection, each drink we tried was perfectly mixed and balanced. we definitely would recommend the french martini and vette city. as for appetizers, we tried the fried pickles and jalapeños. the batter was light but crunchy and flavorful and the house made ranch paired perfectly with them. main courses i would 1000% recommend the chicken rosa. such a delicious dish with a creamy mash potatoes side and perfectly seasoned and sautéed fresh vegetable side. the lemon caper sauce paired with the chicken was stunning. chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy. the basil pasta dish was al dente with a rich, herby, and creamy sauce. the crème brûlée was the most delicious dessert to end the meal with a perfectly crunchy sugar top not too charred and the crème part was flavored very nicely with a good vanilla taste. 5/5 WOULD RECOMMEND

We both had sweet potato fries with a side of the smoky aioli for dipping. They were perfectly cooked, which is hard to do. Often sweet potato fries are either burnt or undercooked, but not these!
