Finally, I didn't try any food on my visit, but it was funny to see the interior get pretty smoky at times; maybe a new ventilation system is overdue.

When we decided what to get, no one checked in with us and even with us trying to get their attention, it took about 10 minutes for us to place our order. Maybe it's just that they don't have enough staff today, but there also weren't that many customers.. 3. The food took 20 minutes to come for our table of 2, so by now we've been in here for over half an hour! Food is again good. The only noticeable thing is the black burnt marks on the birria, which had a sour bitter taste to it. 4. When we paid, we handed the credit card, which they processed on their tablet. As we waited to then select the tips and sign the tablet, they already MANUALLY SELECTED 25% TIPS WITHOUT TELLING US! I totally get it if their service was top notch to the point where they deserve a fourth of our dinner cost, BUT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!! If we didn't ask for the receipt, we wouldn't even know that they frauded us! If you have enough money for them to select the tips for you, as you gamble on their service quality, then sure give it a try. But I'm not coming back for a business that tries to steal my money via tips!

The menu consists of items made from Maine lobsters, such as Maine Lobster Rolls, Connecticut Lobster Rolls, lobster quesadillas, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, lobster bisque, as well as New England Clam Chowder. After looking over the menu, I decided to order some "Lobster Tacos" (Maine lobster served with cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce, flour tortillas). We got the Backyard BBQ package with hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and steak tips; all delicious, juicy and tender. They had a wide variety of homemade sauces to choose from, and the sides were a hit -- we chose the smoked corn and black bean salad, potato salad, and green salad. All their staff were friendly and helpful, they left everything spotless and even packed up the leftovers in to-go boxes. The also gifted us with a cute boxed sampler of their BBQ sauces! Pre-event communication was a breeze. I do a lot of events and this is not the usual -- I'd highly recommend Big Pig for any catering needs!

Finally got to visit the sweet ride candy truck at SoWa a few weekends back! They have the cutest…read moretruck set up with so much candy and they offered various Halloween themed candy bags! They even sold kits to let you make your own Halloween candy themed charcuterie board which was such a cute idea and we loved getting to put together. I spoke with the owner and they visit local events and set up but you can also hire them for parties or gatherings and they bring their truck and set up a mobile candy bar. They were super sweet and the candy was fantastic... hopefully they do some more holiday boards coming up!

I was just cleaning and came across our wedding menu from October 2015. To this day (almost 5 years…read morelater) people STILL talk about the food at our wedding! Dan and Silvia were amazing to work with, I remember them very fondly, just really really awesome people. Their serving staff was great as well. They worked with our budget and created an amazing array of hors d'oeuvres, dishes, and a pasta bar. I liked that we were able to try the menu well before the wedding. We had a fall wedding and the ingredients they used reflected this which I liked. I just can not say enough how amazing the food was. I remember my friends joking that the food changed their life.
