Their menu is huge and offers yogurts, sherbets, sorbets, no sugar ice cream, sundaes, smoothies, frappes, and adult ice cream (with alcohol). They also are a bakery and had cakes, cookies, tres leches, cookies, tiramisu, and even the now viral Dubai Chocolate. For cones they have shamrock green cones (since it's close to St. Patrick's day), sprinkle dipped cones, and peanut dipped cones. The Oreo ice cream is a dream for Oreo lovers, with generous chunks of the cookie mixed in. The black raspberry ice cream was packed with large, flavorful chunks of raspberry, making each bite a treat. They also give you huge scoops, so you definitely get your money's worth! Can you say you've had ice cream in MA if you haven't been here? This place always has a line pouring out, especially in the warmer months. Sometimes they have unique seasonal flavors to try if you're feeling adventurous as well during May in coronation with the annual steampunk festival they had a special ice cream sundae! This was super tasty and adorned with chocolate gears. On the flipside, I was also intrigued by their mango tajine creation. I made a mistake with the flavor palette. I did not enjoy this as much as I'd hoped but I think I still finished it during other times I've tried their basic flavor such as meant and have enjoyed it. The chocolate bananas covered in nuts are also a solid option. Inside they have limited seating just given that they are downtown on Moody Street. Usually, they have tables outside set up during summer if the outdoor dining option is available. I am not sure if Yelp or the theater sponsored the party after an opening performance. Anyways, Lizzy's had a table set up and I used my coupon one of two to purchase an ice cream. They have fabulous flavors. It reminded me of when I was young and we went to the roadside stand and got some homemade ice cream. I am not sure what the pricing is but for a small I would definitely pay between five and eight dollars for a small cup or a scoop. Is that good! You cannot go wrong with any flavor, and I'd highly recommend checking out the seasonal flavors! Lizzy's hosted our son's 7th birthday party this weekend and it gets a giant wow! They engaged the energetic kids for an hour, then hosted the sundae bar, and then had more games. Food: They have a plenty of options for ice cream related drinks, some food, tea, but their highlight is obviously their ICE CREAM. It's locally-made (I mean literally in the same building) by a lean staff that really cares for their product. It's the perfect mix of creamy vs droopy, sugary vs tasteful. It's also cool that they have SO many flavors - including new ones, weird ones, and the classics. Service: Many of the employees (so I've been told) have been there for multiple years and work there full-time because they believe in the business. I love that. They work hard to make sure the line isn't unreasonable by helping each group of customers - so your whole group is serviced by one employee, like a restaurant. Each employee is always very welcoming and encouraging! Atmosphere: The line can get a little long on weekends or warm days, leading to waits up to 10-15 minutes, but usually it's not bad at all. I think I've waited more than 10 minutes once in my ten or so visits there. There's plenty of seating, even for big groups because they have a second seating area on the side (unless there's a birthday party), so big groups are welcome! Parking: Street parking or pay $1 in a lot nearby. I love this place and will be back next time I'm in Waltham.
