I spent thousands of dollars replacing parts at other shops without ever fixing the problem. I found this shop on Google and decided to give them a call, and from that first conversation I felt confident they knew exactly what they were doing. They didn't overpromise and they clearly explained their process: start with the basics and work methodically from there. When I dropped the car off, I immediately felt comfortable with the team. The owner even walked me through the shop and showed me what they were working on. Within two hours, I received a call and a detailed quote explaining precisely what they had found. Other shops had taken weeks just to suggest things like adjusting timing or upgrading the ignition. This shop discovered that although the carburetor looked factory-correct, it was actually from a later model year and didn't fit the intake manifold properly, preventing the secondaries from opening at wide-open throttle. They walked me through several solutions they recommended and let me choose how I wanted to proceed. I picked the car up yesterday, and for the first time in at least 40 years it finally pulls happily at high RPM. I'll be bringing my car here for as long as I own it and as long as they're open. Tim was awesome! Answered my call promptly, let me know the basic info, and said we could touch base again the following week to nail down the schedule for a pickup. Tim drove really great, solid driving performance and tie down too... keeping my car secured on his flat bed... didn't move an inch.
