I have been going to Danview as long as I can remember but today was the last time! I will never step foot into Danview again ! When I mentioned to the blonde girl at register there were two other people waiting in front of the lady she took in a very calm low voice (not counting me) she yelled at me so every one in there could hear her whether they where cooking or in the bathroom! She banged the counter with her hand I had to get in the line that there was a f*cking line that people had to get behind and I told her I had never heard that before. I was in the corner waiting my turn by the countertop where i always wait for pickup order. Not in the middle of floor like paying customers. She countinued yelling louder and cussing. I told her to quit yelling at me , she said let's go outside ??? What ??? I told her i didnt fight! I asked for the manager. She says I don't give a fuck if he says something I can find another job. She says I'm younger, I know I can lick you. She said, she could be a b*tch. She repeated Bring it on bitch bring it on. I said I guess you've never heard of customer service. Owner comes out , he told her to go outside go! Lady in kitchen tried to call her down, she says h*ll no , I told owner? if he tolerated that..... shame on him I said I can't believe you're even charging me for my food which he did. I told him I would not be back and this was on him. I said I can't believe you allowed this to go on in his restaurant. I should've left my food. I was just so shocked at her behavior and it was all I could do to keep myself calm! It's hard to believe people treat paying customers this way! I know she yelled at me for five minutes or more, banging the counter, throwing her arms up in the air, threatening me. Simply amazing. read more

Just had breakfast at the Danview. Eggs, country ham, potatoes, toast, coffee, and a side of bacon! Lots of delicious food for a reasonable price! They switched owners last year, but it's still as good as ever. Highly recommended! read more

Client took me here today for lunch and it wasn't bad. I love the fact that it's a small hole in the wall place that you can have an $8.00 lunch with locals. I was surprised that they had sweet tea which was pretty tasty. I ordered the Salmon Cakes which came out looking like two fried green tomatoes, definitely not too impressed but the fried okras and steamed cabbage turned out really well. The desserts are well worth leaving some room on your plate for! I had the banana pudding and it was delicious. Would recommend splitting it with someone as I had to leave half on the table (i know i know) because washing it down with sweet tea just wasn't cutting it for me. I will definitely be back next time I am in Danville to try the pan fried chicken on Wednesdays! Hopefully I can readjust the rating at a later time. It's a good value. My father and I both had catfish with fried okra and hushpuppies. I had the cabbage as well. The meal arrived very hot and the catfish was tasty. The hushpuppies were not made at the restaurant but were frozen. They were the worst I'd ever had. They were very bland and left an aftertaste. The first glass that I received with my beverage was stained with someone else's lipstick. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she apologized and quickly replaced it. Waitresses are friendly and work hard. Food has declined recently. Ham and mashed potatoes were dry; Homemade banana pudding tasted like it had rubber flavored bananas. I've heard good things about their breakfast, but my lunch experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that someone will have to drag me back there. It was the quality of school lunch with less seasoning. My Family lived at Danview Ever since I was a kid. I have never been crazy about the food, but it was okay. The only day I would eat their was on Pan Fried Chicken Day which are Wednesdays. My mom and I were there and ordered the chicken. First time the chicken was overcooked, the second time it came out Cold! Yes Cold and raw in the middle. We complained to one of the owners and her response was rude and hateful. We then proceeded to tell the other owner who proceeded to be rude and hateful as well. When I told him I would not be back to his establishment, and he said he could care less. Every person I meet I let them know our last experience there. That was the wrong way to handle the issue.
