Pros: -inexpensive out of pocket costs Cons: -ALWAYS busy, expect to wait -Everyone here from the receptionists to the doctors to the nurse practitioners is so rude and judgmental except for the medical assistants who take your blood pressure, they're the only nice ones. I asked my doctor, Dr. Kim Trinh, if I was deficient in anything and she looked me up and down, LAUGHED, and said no in the most condescending way, implying that my excess weight means I can't be deficient in anything. One time I asked her to remove a mole on my neck bc it kept catching on my necklace and bleeding, but she literally told me "just love yourself"....um, okay then. So I went home and used an over the counter mole remover and gave myself a second degree chemical burn that two years later is still visible on my neck. What gets me is that I had HMO insurance at the time, so she could've easily referred me to a dermatologist, where they could've safely removed it but instead she gave me useless advice (I do love myself) which ended up in me having to take matters into my own hands. I continued to come back because I have to admit, Dr. Trinh was knowledgeable and I figured maybe I was just being a little sensitive and I could just try to ignore the passive aggressive comments. The last time I came here was for abnormal bleeding between periods, and the receptionist asked me the reason for my visit when I was standing right next to another patient. What happened to patient privacy? I didn't want to say my reason in front of random people so I just said "it's personal" and then the receptionist proceeded to give me attitude! Then, I couldn't see my doctor bc she was busy, so I saw a nurse practitioner Jacqueline, who treated me like I was stupid and told me to "stop coming and wasting their time and my money" because I should've seen a specialist (since I now had PPO insurance). OBGYNs in the area are all booked up for months and I wanted to quickly rule out any possible infections since I am prone to UTIs, so it was really dismissive and invalidating for her to say when I only went because I was concerned about my health. She then proceeded to tell me I should make my boyfriend use protection, which was an invasive comment to make and just felt so shockingly rude. I was already scared about the bleeding between my periods but I've seen a urologist before, who told me the anatomy of my bladder makes me more likely to get UTIs . The nurse practitioner just assumed it was my boyfriend's fault when I've had UTI's as young as a 14 year old with no dating history!! Anyway, if you feel physically unwell and want to also make yourself feel emotionally upset, this is the place to go! I feel like it wasn't this bad when I first started coming here in 2019, but it got progressively worse over time. I didn't even realize how bad it was here until I finally saw a new doctor who treated me like a real human being instead of a list of problems they don't want to deal with! After being loyal to this institution for four years and subsequently being treated like garbage, I won't be coming back here again. read more

Their male staff, Tom, is extremely rude! He has no sense of customer service. He will throw F-bombs at you mid conversation if he does not get his way. The way he talks to you is degrading and makes it seem like you are beneath him. This office needs to retrain their staff in customer service or fire them all. read more

This Urgent car i go to room 102 doesn't have doctors only PA. My PA was Tuan Le he was bad, old have hard time hear, doesn't talk or explain anything. I feel like he have no knowledge of what he is doing. However the staff to took the appointment were great, they call back for results they reminder call A++ if you have good insurance go to other places. This is specifically for room 101. I've been here several times for minor things such as the flu, vaccine, etc. No matter what day or time I come, I have to wait over an hour just to be seen. The LVN and receptionists are constantly gossiping and arguing with patients. No sense of customer service whatsoever. Recently, I came in because I got bitten by a stray cat. Got my vitals taken went back to wait. Finally saw the doctor and I told the doctor I got bitten by a stray cat. He then says, "okay...so what do you want to do?" Really? You're the doctor! Not once did he look at the bite to see if it was swollen or infected. I then told him I wanted antibiotics and a tetanus shot. He said "okay. Go bring this to the pharmacy and they'll give you the tetanus vaccine, bring it back and the nurse will do it." This place is horrible. Dr.Kim Trinh in suite 103 she's the worst doctor I have ever met and had to experience such a racist doctor. She is very distrustful and she is disrespectful. I had been asking her and her stuff for help with temporary disability papers for over 5 months giving her my pain management card for information telling her I'm going thru a right time with depression and anxiety in my life and her not caring enough to listen. When she does listen it's only what she want to listen about and help with. She never reads your chart or the paper you fill out to explain why your there and what's bothering you? The front desk people don't help either. I went in for hello and she literally told me to call cal optima and complain about her because she wasn't going to bother with me anymore!! She told me that she's trying to help me??!!! 5 months no income with depression and anxiety seeing a specialist for back and neck problems and she's trying to help me by telling me that it's not her problem when I tell her about my problems?? She also went after my son who's ADHD with speech and learning disabilities. He's 24 he went in alone with her and her concern about him was calling him a liar and telling him that his mommy can't help him!! What doctor does that??? Oh man...wish I had read the reviews before scheduling the appointment with this office. The appointment is at a later date, but they have already charged us $200 for the Covid testing. We were given the option: 1) pay $150, get the results in 2-3 days or 2)$200, get the results within 24 hours. Because of my working, I opt in to get the fast results. My 2 star review is solely based on the fact that during this pandemic, they charge you before rendering service. Although, there has been articles where he offer the service for free or even at a much lower cost. Will update you guys on the result after my appointment. read more

I haven't been to the doctors in a long while and I'm currently here due to medical issue & decided I'll come here . First off this place is right by bolsa grande high school the parking in the back is horrible, when it says compact it's literally compact parking. This place is more for older people so becareful there's a lot of horrible drivers. I had originally called in the morning for an appointment and was told to come in at 12:30 pm but I couldn't see a female doctor because they're all booked until tomorrow . Desperately needing to see a doctor I agreed to see a male doctor & knowing I had paper work to fill out I came a little earlier which was 11:30 so I practically waited an hour. Walked into the place and it was very clean, they have a pharmacy right inside the lobby area which was neat and very convient & especially better for older people to grab their meds. So I walked over to room 103 to see danny nguyen like I mention earlier I waited an hour after I told the worker my problem she did try to get me a female doctor which I appreciate but the thing was I needed to come back 2 hours later, so I said fine and left. I did come back and left my house around 1:40 just so I can make it to my 2:15 appointment. This time I had to see Helen in room 306. I was the first one there and waited about over 40 minutes a older lady came in after me and was seen before me .. i don't know if it's because she's older so they're letting her go first ? I just think it was pointless for me to have an appointment if they were gonna take me in after some one else even though I waited 40 mins .. So finally I got called in and I asked if the hubs can sit in with me cause I feel most comfy with him the worker told me no and I would have to ask the doctor . The doctor came in and she is seriously so freaking rude . The worker tried to explain to her if I can have the hubs in with me in English but since it's an Asian place she didn't really know how to translate so I jumped in and asked her myself. The doctor gave me an attitude and just ignored what I had to say and left. I was originally suppose to have a Pap smear done but the doctor told her worker no she's just gonna examine me for whatever I originally came in for .. lol ok rude and the whole time the doctor said this it was in Vietnamese since she knew I wasn't viet but little did she know I understood her 100% . Helen came in and couldn't do what i came in for so she called a male doctor which is a obgyn to help her lol .. the whole point of seeing her was because I didn't want a male doctor but I was seriously fed up to the point where I was so annoyed and irritated by their lack of work and unprofessionalism I was like you know what fuck it I don't care I just want to get this shit done with and leave . By the way the male doctors name is Dr. Doan I'm actually really glad he helped me and was very professional about everything he did & assured me I was in good hands with him . I do have to come back here next week which I'm not excited about .. helens workers are very unprofessional they do not meet the HIPPA guidelines. One of the workers in the front has a bitchy face and when she's on the phone with patients or face to face with them she talks so loud to the point everyone can hear the patients information. Totally against HIPPA.. they need to get some training on that or find new workers . Not only that the room was filled with patients and they sat there talking about their life and friends and gossip about this and that while one girl was playing around with the others hair lol my goodness very very unprofessional . I'm only giving this place a one star because of Dr. Doan and the first worker who was able to get me a lady Dr but was a failed. Can't wait to come back for my follow up and then I'm def changing my doctors to someone whose more professional and nicer. read more

All Asian places are the same, absolutely no customer service at all. The majority of the patients in this office are older, so how is it that they expect them to be able to check-in via computer!? No hours of operation are posted so you have no clue when they open or when they will see you, but you're more than welcome to check-in at 7:30AM and wait till they decide to arrive. With that said, you have to do that or else you'll be 100th in line. While you do this, there is no one to assist you because no one is at the front desk. Apparently they aren't open yet, but we don't know that. This place is horrible and at this point I could care less on how great the doctor is because their practices are horrendous. I am doing my best to have my grandfather go elsewhere. The doctor came running in 2 hrs later from the time we were told he would be there. read more

Lucky I have not made these people my Primary Care Provider. Just calling for a simple appointment would put you on ENDLESS wait time no matter what day or what time you call. I understand you guys are busy but a 30 minutes plus waiting on line with NO one addressing the patient is just pure unprofessional. How do you expect a good caring manner from a medical group when the simplest thing is PICKING UP THE PHONE is not even done right??? This is a huge medical group, they have (I think) more than 10 providers, so if you don't like one, switch to another. My PCP is Hung Quan and omg he is SUPER NICEEEE. Happy time here!!! read more

This Medical Group should be ashamed of itself for the doctors and nurse practitioners they allow to treat patients. I had stomach pain for 30+ days straight. the doctor (Dr. Hao Thai) told me "it's nothing" and prescribed me ibuprofen. I said I was concerned since it had been happening everyday for a month and he said "as I said, it's nothing and worrying about it will make it worse" I went in (foolishly) a 2nd time and saw a physicians assistant (Dang Nguyen). I had an infection in my mouth and a lump mass that had grown in the side of my face. The nurse practitioner was behaving like a misbehaved teenager. Condescending, dismissive, and refused to feel the lump in my face. He poked my cheekbone and said "I dont feel anything" I said "its down near my chin" and pointed him to where it was and he REFUSED to feel again??? He wouldnt look for the lump and said I should see a dentist instead. Whether I should ADDITIONALLY see a dentist or not is beside the point. His job is to access it and at the very least try his best to administer service. Straight refusal is unacceptable. He then, no exaggeration: opened his door for me to leave and said "that's all" I told him that I was suffering from a lot of pain in my mouth, and he hadnt event felt the lump in my jaw and I was feeling like he didnt care. He replied "I can write you a prescription for antibiotic since youre so worried about it" Absolutely horrible job. How he passed any exams dealing with people is a failure on his school and the DAO medical group. I switched doctors and she immediately felt the lump, wrote me a referral, and took my stomach pain seriously and said "lets get an ultrasound done since it might be internal". How that wasnt done by two different people at the DAO medical Group is beyond understanding. This place shouldn't be allowed to charge for serving the people. read more

Suite B is the worse ever. They confirm your appointment tell you they received authorization only to have you show up and that not be the case. They are rude and unprofessional and can't accept responsibility for their errors. If I could rate less than negative I would but even a 1 is being generous. Don't waste your time with them.
