    Vanilla Bean Frappe - recommended!
    Scott W.

It had been a while since I explored a new coffee joint here in Arizona. I scrolled through Yelp and it looks like I've been to several on this side of the city... except Dapper and Stout was blank. No review written - until today. They're located relatively close to Grand Ave. at the far end of Glendale. Not an ideal location, but they seemed to have their fair share of regulars today. Plenty of ample parking in the strip mall they're located in. There's no walk-in eatery. It's a walk-up window with a couple of tables and chairs out front. So if you think you're going to bring your MacBook and do some editing in ice cold air conditioning, that ain't gonna happen. We were greeted immediately. Friendly service and extremely efficient despite how busy they were when my wife and I showed up. I went with the Vanilla Bean Frappe. Insanely creamy, flavorful and recommended. My wife went with the cold brew which was also flavorful and not bitter. They didn't pour hot Folgers out of a tin can over ice. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was a great spontaneous treat this morning m

A New Favorite Has Arrived I am adding Dapper and Stout Coffee Company to my "favorite coffee" places . This coffee house is tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I coudnt help but notice that the staff greeted their regulars by name, nice touch On this visit we ordered an Iced Carmel latte and iced coffee with cream. Both drinks were perfectly balanced (not too sweet, too syrupy, too milky or too watered down, as I've had in some places). These drinks were absoulety refreshing. I can't waurlr to return and try some of the breakfast menu items, they looked delicious.

    Receipt

Everything tasted cheap.. I hate to say that but its the truth, yet the prices didn't reflect that and I hate when establishments do that. Charged $6.00 for an Iced Latte plus an additional .25 cents because it was the 16oz lol (the small) PLUS $1.00 for hazelnut flavoring and an additional $1.00 for coconut milk...... And thats not all. Can we just be serious today? Just do yourselves a favor and go to the QT around the corner. I had to get the receipt because I knew this is exactly what they were doing, it's pathetic and disrespectful. Will NEVER spend another dime here. Receipt shown down below

Coffee is good but it is water down. I got the black and white macchiato. There's some seating outside but it's not a big space. Also it's not an inside cafe. It's like a window where you order but it's cute.

Both the coffee and bagel were very good. I will be back soon. I tried an iced latte caramel and lavender, and it was different, but it was good.

32 oz SIGNATURE BOWTIE ICED COFFEE

I tried this place with my husband yesterday and we were instantly hooked!!! We tried the Bowtie, which is their signature drink and it was DELICIOUS. Simply delectable! Definitely a different tasting coffee experience (compared to Starbucks or Dutch bros). I honestly prefer this place!!! Which is a lot to say because you could catch me at starbs daily .... until now!!!! We purchased the 32 oz which came out to $7.25. Not bad at all!! Their prices are affordable. We will definitely be going back!!!! The girl at the window was nice and the coffee was made in seconds!!! If you haven't been here I would definitely give it a shot!!!! We are definitely making this our regular spot. I cannot wait to try more of their large drink and breakfast selections !

Caramel Macchiato and The Bow Tie.

Tired of people misspelling your name? I was once called "Bruce!" At least I'm not the girl named ABCDE. What was my point again? Oh yeah! They don't take names here. I should probably update my review now that they've gone through some rebranding... AND I LOVE IT! Dapper & Stout emerges from the ashes that was once Bra-istas. Classier, trendier, and gosh darn dappier! My guy pal that took me here when it was Bra-istas (figures, right?) is now hooked on the Bow Tie. After having a sip, I was hooked too! Bow Tie is a delicious concoction of dark chocolate, white chocolate, amaretto, and cream. It's even good with soy milk -- you just lose that luscious mouthfeel. They're still in the same suspect-looking spot by the drug screening place, still have the same outdoor patio furniture, and the prices and menu are relatively the same but I really love Dapper & Stout. I even like the little sticker they put over the adult-sippycup spout. Love is in the air and it smells like coffee!

Some iced Bow Ties and a hot Bow Tie.

When you feel depresso, have a little espresso. The wife and I were driving down the street when depresso struck. We needed coffee right away. Joyce had been here a couple of times before so she knew exactly what to order. We got two Bow Ties, one iced and one hot. We also picked another iced and hot Bow Tie for our friend and my father-in-law. The Bow Tie is everything you want: caffeine, dark & white chocolate, amaretto, and cream. It's their specialty drink so I recommend it. So if you're in the area, stop by Dapper & Stout!

    Jennifer H.

Pleasantly surprised. Don't judge a book by it's cover. This is a cute little walk up coffee shop with a couple outdoor patio tables. It was in an odd location. So glad we gave it a chance. Prompt, friendly service. Great food, coffee and smoothies. The panini and bagel sandwiches were delicious. Made fresh while you wait. Good value. Highly recommend.

Caramel Frapp and black and white

Today was adventure day and because I'm brave I'm drove 30 minutes to try this new coffee shop and it was one of the best decisions I've made today. In ordered an iced Black & White and after one sip began what I call my "happy dance". This drink is a heavenly dance between coffee and sweetness. This place is not on my route at all but I'll happily pass Starbucks and Dutch Bros to order from here again. My daughter ordered a Carmel frappe that looked so refreshing I almost stole it from her. She would like to share that it was one of the best ones she's had. She frequently joins me on my little adventures. Now on to breakfast. I ordered the classic bagel breakfast and boy oh boy was it YUMMY!!!! First bite and I again broke into my happy dance. In case your wondering what my happy dance looks like it's a fusion between shoulder bumps and the Harlem shake. We also grabbed the banana and Nutella French toast. You better love Nutella and you better love bananas and if you do then you're gonna love this French toast.

Outstanding food and eating-in experience…read more Their KRISPY KRUNCHY FRIED CHICKEN is FAR better, MUCH more highly superior, to any of the other fried chicken chain outlets we've tried before. Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! I think it would catch on in no-time... assuming today's quality, and value, remained the same, of course. I'm, generally, hard to please... but Outta Bronx/Krispy Krunchy chicken seems to hit it on all cylinders! VERY pleased. Mark us down as huge fans!

Outta Bronx - A Very Disappointing Visit and an Even Worse Follow‑Up…read more We've been customers of this spot for some time, and up until now, the food has always been solid. Unfortunately, our latest experience was far from what we've come to expect. Our order was wrong from the start -- something we caught before leaving -- and we were told our food had been handed to another customer, so it had to be remade. Annoying, but understandable. The real issues showed up once we got home. The mac and cheese tasted stale and simply wasn't edible. The Reuben was another disappointment: barely any meat, what little there was had been overcooked, and the sandwich had almost no sauerkraut. When I flipped it over, I could literally see more toppings through the meat than actual meat. The only thing that resembled their usual quality was the chicken fingers. What pushed this experience from disappointing to unacceptable was the phone call I received from the owner, after I emailed their website to share what happened. My intention was to give them a chance to address the situation privately rather than jumping straight to a negative review. Instead, I spent nearly half an hour listening to the owner defend the food, insist the items we ordered weren't their "best sellers," and tell us to choose different items next time. They claimed nothing could be wrong with the food and that we should have just eaten it. They also said the mac and cheese wasn't their responsibility and told us to complain to Krispy Krunchy Chicken because they "just microwave" what they receive. When asked whether a replacement would resolve the issue, I said yes -- only for the owner to then accuse me of taking money from their family and saying they personally wouldn't complain about food they didn't like. I was told to just eat it and avoid ordering those items again. I have this all recorded. If you're going to ask whether a replacement would make things right, why turn it into an argument afterward? This could have been handled quickly and respectfully. Instead, I was told I was bothering them by emailing on a Friday night, and the entire call felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Calling a customer on a Friday night to argue is not how you keep loyal customers. After enjoying this place for some time, it's disappointing to see how poorly concerns are handled when something goes wrong. Update: I believe the response to this shows what I outlined above. I do not know this owner personally. I met them twice at the restaurant when getting my orders and both were good yet brief experiences. I also do not understand how there is fraud in contacting a restaurant, via their contact us email address, to inform them of issues you had with an order. Their call to me, in response to the email, was not a personal call and entirely business related. This simply shows that this is the type of response one can expect if they have any issues with their order.

This was usually a stop a Poketrition (or NakedQ) but Poketrition closed up sometime last year. Pho AnAn stepped in, offering Vietnamese fare in a serene environment (or, as serene as a strip mall on a major road can get). The menu covers off a number of familiar dishes (summer rolls, banh mi, bún, and, of course, pho). Needing something light and fresh after a day of travel, I did an order of shrimp goi cuon (summer rolls), bún thit nuong (vermicelli + grilled pork), and iced tea. The summer rolls, filled with shrimp + vermicelli + mint + lettuce, held together well, even when paired with not too thick peanut sauce. The vermicelli bowl (vermicelli + grilled pork + cucumber + pickled radish + bean sprouts + peanuts + mint) provided a great mix of flavours (smokey / salty pork, sour radish), and improved even more with some of the pickled dipping sauce from the summer rolls Geared towards takeout, service is speedy, the food satisfying, and the portions more than generous.

Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The deli offers an impressive variety of hot foods. The sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, and there are plenty of pasta dishes and traditional Italian entrées available as well. We didn't order a hot meal on this visit, but we'll definitely be back to try one. The market section is also worth browsing. They carry a wide selection of pastas, sauces, olive oils, canned tomatoes, and other Italian staples. My only suggestion would be to expand the specialty pasta selection with options like squid ink, spinach, or roasted red pepper varieties. Of course, we couldn't leave without visiting the bakery case. We brought home an assortment of Italian cookies, a black and white cookie, a Napoleon, chocolate cannolis, and a brownie. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. Overall, we had a very good experience and are looking forward to returning to explore more of the deli offerings.
