We're visiting from out of town and I've been wanting to give this place a try. I'm so glad we did! The line wasn't long, even then if it was I would've gone either inside to order or had ordered ahead of time for pick up. The long line I believe wouldn't be so much the employees fault. If anything it's more on the customers side, most of the time customers will order x amount of drinks that'll cause the back up of the line. I didn't get the chance to get the girls name that was took our orders and the other that was at the register. They were super nice and helpful and made the whole experience amazing! I really appreciate how they were personable, friendly and had great customer service skills. In addition to that they had product knowledge. It was really helpful that the person taking orders could offer suggestions on drink orders being that I was a first time customer. We also ordered food two burritos and the sriracha sour cream or cream cheese sauce that came with it was really good! I can't wait to come back again and try a new order. read more

Coffee is like duct tape. It fixes everything. What's not to love at Black Rock? This Black Rock is pretty much like all the rest. Lots of seating, good lighting, the staff is friendly and they have a convenient drive-thru. While this will probably not be a Black Rock Coffee Bar that I visit often, this is the one closest to my parents' house. It's a great place to stop when I need an extra boost of caffeine before having to help my parents with whatever phone or Facebook problem their having. First time at a Black Rock. Used the drive thru because it was raining and I didn't want to get my poor little head wet. I'm a BASIC B when it comes to coffee drinks. Vanilla latte. Boring. But like it. Well, I decided to go off of the recommendation of the lovely barista, Kenzie, and I got out of my comfort zone and ordered and iced white snickers! Holy cow. I'm writing this literally five minutes after I left because I finished the damn thing already. May become a new favorite. Services absolutely sucks at this location. Drive thru can't keep the orders straight. Stood around for several minutes waiting for my mobile order and not a single employee acknowledged the customers that had walked in before me, or myself. Black Rock was good! I got an iced caramel blondie and a breakfast sandwich and both were so good. The coffee had the perfect balance. Smooth, not too sweet, and just strong enough to keep me going. First off the team is fabulous and customer service is always great. However, the espresso machines constantly go down making lines and wait times long. I've gone to a few other Black Rocks and this seems to be a problem for multiple locations. Maybe consider switching espresso machines to a more quality product, because something is off. read more

From Alaska and on a coffee hunt! Black Rock was my 2nd attempt and became my number one spot in AZ. Iced shaken espresso with cold foam was close to what I get in Alaska. I went the next day and ordered caramel blonde. Delicious. Today I ordered kickstart cold brew. Service was fast and friendly. Today I went inside it was busy and the baristas were very professional, and enjoyed working. The cafe was very clean although attracted bees we were also told by staff about that. read more

I feel I've given this location more than enough chances to get it right. Been there about 10 times. Dirty chai has been thoroughly underwhelming. Tip: use a better chai than Oregon. I can make that garbage at home for a lot less money. Iced coffee tastes like cold dishwater a coffee pot was washed in. That the drive-thru out. It worked the third day you were open. Never since. This is my go to coffee spot! Whether if it's for a Jalapeño/ cheddar toasted bagel with cream cheese, or a white chocolate snickers... or an Irish coffee with coconut syrup this place always makes my drinks to taste. I am always greeted with great customer service and are understanding if my drink is accidentally made with coconut milk. The line is always short, and quick making every day a convenient spot to stop at. I was excited to have a coffee spot nearby because it's slim pickings around here. However, I did expect kind, happy voices and personalities; like I get from my favorite place. Especially given its a coffee shop, I thought everyone would be perky because of the caffeine, I was wrong. LOL. I proceeded with my drive thru experience because you know, you're already in the drive through. I got a Carmel Truffle Iced Mocha and a Lemon Poppy Scone. The coffee was definitely caffeinated but that's the best I can say about it. The scone was sooooooooo dry it flaked all over. Maybe it was just one of the day olds, since I went later in the day. TAKE MY MONEY!! I have found this gem of GrubHub and now I have a new go to coffee spot. Totally worth it they have the largest cups of coffee I have seen for a reasonable price too. I had a "iced jackhammer" and my mom had a "hot Americano", with havelnut, almond milk, and stevia and the only regret was not adding extra hazelnut flavoring. She loves it! Not the first time where they take forever because they don't want to use the mic to take orders. Got there at 7:25 pm with my kids in the back crying and they never decided to go outside to cut off the line like the competitors do to make sure they don't waste customers time. Finally got to the cashier at 8:05 and they told me no more orders as they close at 8 even if they just took an order at 8:00.... Coffee is overpriced and take like 15 min to complete an order. Not even a voucher was offered... i understand they have to go home but horrible customer service to say the least. Please train this location to do better!! read more

I came to the grand opening week every day for this location and came once a week since it has been open. But after my experience today, I will never return to this location. I waited in line for 30 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me and they would not take orders at the window. Finally got to the window and placed my order. I told the girl I was using the $2 drink card we received. She said we couldn't use it because it was for a different location. Okay, that's fine I had one left from their location so I changed my order and handed her the card. She brought over another girl and the girl said "we can't accept this anymore because it is expired" I showed her there is no expiration date written on the card and she said "yeah I know but we just stopped taking these". So I got my credit card back and left with no drinks and will never go back. Awful customer service. After waiting in line for 30 minutes with a screaming newborn wanting to get out of line but trapped, I couldn't even get my coffee to get me through the day. If you wanted the cards to expire, then write an expiration date. read more
