Confession: I like this place so much that I was able to convince my coworkers to come with me twice in 3 weeks! We have agreed to add this place as our monthly lunch eat-out rotation! Service could just be a bit faster, but of course understandably I went during the lunch rush both times, so the dining room is full. Overall, lovely experience and we now know to order the drink and food at the same time. The menu has ample options for sweet or savory. I am on a strict diet, so I stick with something that would allow me to control my portion size with a good amount of protein source. Both times I ordered their breakfast sandwich - original and chicken apple sausage. I was able to split both meals in half and had a second meal out of them. The brioche bun was so fluffy; the fried egg was not greasy, and the hash browns were crispy and well seasoned! I actually like it more than the roasted potatoes! The atmosphere is very causal, but not causal enough for me to not want to go back to work loll. I appreciate the huge booths they have and the seat is comfortable. I took my cousin with celiacs disease to brunch at Biscuits Cafe because it advertised a gluten free menu. I wish I recalled everyone's name who helped us. First, the server!! He was extraordinary. He was also the bartender but didn't push alcohol on us once. We find many servers do this even after we tell them no thank you and if we order an alcohol free beverage. Our server was a STAR. His enthusiasm, kindness, and attention to detail absolutely made our morning bright. He meticulously wrote down, asked the kitchen manager, substituted, and considered all input from my cousin and her multiple food allergies. I was so pleased; it's rare these days to find someone so incredibly willing to help that I was doubly impressed by this young man. Everyone we encountered at this restaurant was stellar and on point with keeping my cousin's food safe. The manager even brought out the packet of gluten free pancake/waffle mix they use and read the ingredients to my cousin to be sure they'd be ok for her to eat! In summary: my cousin had a waffle, something she's not able to eat most of the time. And she didn't get sick. This was a huge win for me to see her so happy. Last month I checked out Biscuits Café with a friend and it turned out to be a really fun brunch spot. We love this place overall. Today was not the best. The place is not staffed to even handle the slower pace of the day. Asked where are the managers? Alisha who is a manager was cooking since they had been under staffed. Asked where is Joe another manager and usually they have two other GM'S that are always standing around overseeing things. Our trip to this Biscuits Cafe was originally shaping up to receive many more stars than I'm giving it. We had never been to this Biscuits Cafe location before, but found the other locations we patronized to be kind of inconsistent with both food and service. However, arrived around 9 am last Sunday and were promptly seated. Our server took our order, which consisted of the country omelet and an avocado benedict, but after this, it all fell apart. A little league team arrived about ten minutes prior to getting our food and completely infiltrated our section of the restaurant, which was originally occupied by us and one other group (who promptly paid and left as the team got settled). If you have never had the distinct displeasure of hearing a little league team occupy a breakfast eatery, I will share that it was noisy and chaotic. It would have been fantastic if we were offered to move to another table in another section of the restaurant, but instead, we were surrounded with pre-teen boys and their phones on high volume watching videos. Our food finally came out around the time my Apple Watch gave me a loud noise exposure warning. My hash browns were cold and my mother's omelet was thrown together and missing some ingredients. There was no one to raise these concerns to, as our server and all others were busy serving the children and could not be bothered by our table at that point. When we tried to express our frustration to both our server and the manager, we were brushed off by one and downright dismissed by the other. My partner and I, stopped by for the first time and it was busyyy. Our wait time was estimated to be 20-25 minutes but it felt like we got in sooner, maybe 15 minutes. This was great because there was nowhere to wait and sit, so we had to sit in our vehicle. As soon as we were sat down, we were greeted by our lively waitress. We ordered strawberry lemonades and got them fairly quickly. I thought they were decently sweetened with strawberry syrup or whatever they might've used but my partner said it was overly sweet. We even watered them down but they still were sweet. I didn't mind it though. However, the prices were high in my opinion for a small cup of strawberry lemonade ($6.99ea.) compared to the typical tall cup. I ordered the stuffed french toast which is listed as "french toast, sweet cream cheese & strawberry filling", this also came with a side of eggs and a protein. I was expecting the french toast pieces to be filled with filling but it was more like a sandwich style plate. French toast then a strawberry spread and another french toast to finish it. The eggs were great and a nice sized portion. A few pieces of bacon as well! We also ordered the french toast flight and honestly I wouldn't recommend it unless it's a meal you're splitting with someone. It really wasn't anything special or fancy, just the basic french toast topped with whipped cream and fruits. Our food took a good bit of time to get to us but it was good and filled us up so just prepare yourselves for that. They have a sign in the door that states that they don't serve fast food as well. Our waitress was great but it took me some time to catch her because she started to get busy, service was great though. The ambiance was bustling but chill at the same time.
