What a wonderful place! The staff is friendly and helpful, the vibe is industrial with some softening, and the food is delicious! There are garbage door windows that open to let the outside in-a very nice touch. There is a large bar, an intimate-ish dining room, and what appeared to be a private function room upstairs. In addition to dinner, there is a nice coffee bar with pastries and sandwiches. Clearly, The Goat is prepared to meet all food & beverage needs. We made it to Nashville and let's say the boys were hungry so we came to The Goat Sobro for lunch. We had no issue getting a table and were quickly seated. They have a great bar set up and a lot of options which is right up my alley but I figured beer was the safe call since we had a long day ahead of use. We started with appetizers and let me tell you they all sounded really good but we ended up going with the Farmhouse Tots and the Mac Daddy Flat Bread. Let's start the with Farmhouse Tots. These came loaded with Pork Belly, a Fried Egg, Queso, scallions, and Sriracha Aioli. These were really good and I really liked that the tot I think were homemade. For sure not your basic tots from the freezer aisle. Was so nice that the yolk was nice and runny. The Mac Daddy Flat Bread was also very good and honestly a lot better then I expected. The Mac & Cheese had so much flavor. For my entree I got the Korean Fried Chicken Chicken wrap with Fries. I also enjoyed this. The sauce gave the chicken the perfect amount of sweetness and spice without either being overpowering and the chicken was crispy. For sure a wrap I would recommend. Now the food was for sure 4 or 5 stars but we had some issues with the service. The Farmhouse Tots came out no problem but then we waited awhile for the Flatbread. After a bit we asked our waitress about it and she said let me check and once once she did it was ready so guessing it had probably just been sitting there for a bit. We I had the same issue with the Korean Fried Chicken Wrap it never came out until we finally asked about it and once we did there it was. I don't know if she had forgotten what we had ordered or she was never told that our food was ready but who knows maybe they were just having an off day. Again, food was still good an hot but was just a bit odd for sure. If I lived in town I would for sure give them another shot because we enjoyed the food but had never had that happen to me. read more

Four stars is probably generous but because of the convenience to my office, I find myself here more often than I probably would if it weren't close by. They make a great cocktail here, but I think they're charging Broadway prices in SoBro. Their "tater tots" are not at all that you to expect them to be and not very good. I enjoy the shrimp tacos. The Nash Vegas burger is good as is the black and blue when it's a special burger of the month. The flatbeds are consistently well-made and I especially appreciate the spicy mac & cheese flatbread. Stopped by The Goat SoBro on a Monday morning while on vacation in Nashville, and it was the perfect start to the day. The staff greeted us right away and couldn't have been friendlier. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--upscale yet relaxed--with soft, easy-listening music setting a calm vibe. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon, and it was outstanding. Stopped in for a quick lunch out of convenience. It was just down the block from our air bnb. It did not disappoint. We had excellent service at the bar. Very industrial feeling. So it felt a bit loud but it was clean and welcoming. They had a large selection of high end whiskeys. The food was delicious and the Korean flavors were spot on. Enough spice without overdoing it. Was greeted by a very friendly barista near the entryway and found a comfy window seat near their upscale bar area. Good looking menu with plenty of variety for all. My server recommended the grilled pesto chicken sandwich that I put in a wrap, along with fries. Great presentation and taste! Perfect spot to drop in for a cocktail or late lunch post a Bridgestone event, which is very walkable from their parking lot across the street. Have eaten at the Mt. Juliet location numerous times and it was good. We go in to order and while there are people in here it is definitely full or on a wait. We are told a Togo will take 35 minutes because the kitchen is backed up. A little strange but ok it happens. We place a Togo order of chicken fingers and fries and 1/2 pizza rolls and order or sweet potatoes fries. 25ish minutes in they say they are out of pizza rolls. So end up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. To menu did not say it was spicy but it was spicy too me and not what I was wanting so it wasn't gag great. The sweet potato fries were good. It took 45 minutes to get our order. If return to the goat it will not be this location. read more

Let's start with the vibe - even around five or 530 on a Saturday when it's just a handful of folks, the place has such a cool vibe. I love the decor. It's both modern and feels like you're right at home. Ashley did such a fantastic job as our waitress. She didn't see us wrong on any of the food. She was hospitable and knowledgeable and absolutely lovely. The bar also does a stellar job with some fantastic drink options and even suggestions for off the menu items to fit your pallet. We had the pickle chips which are actual pickles, breaded and fried absolutely delicious. And we both opted for burgers, I did the hand cut fries, which are always a great and friend did the mac & cheese, which was creamy and gooey and devoured very quickly. The next time I'm in Nashville, I will 100% come back here and try more items. read more

Had my first-ever dinner at The Goat Sobro, and it definitely made a great impression! I came with my good friend and her sister on what turned out to be a super busy night in the city -- Halsey was at Ascend and AC/DC was rocking Bridgestone, so the energy downtown was wild. I kicked things off with their Blueberry Mule, which was as delicious as it was pretty (seriously, look at that color and garnish!). Super refreshing with a fruity twist, a nice gingery kick, and not overly sweet. I could've easily had another -- it went down fast! For dinner, I ordered The Nashvegas burger: bacon, pimento cheese, onion straws, and BBQ sauce. Definitely a bold combo with a nice little spicy bite from the pimento cheese. The burger was juicy and stacked, and the onion straws added that perfect crunch. Fries were hand-cut and tasty, though they could've been a touch hotter. The place was not overly packed, and service held up well. Our server was friendly and made sure to check on us frequently. Overall, a great first impression. The Goat Sobro is a newer find for me and I am super glad to have received the recommendation. Normally the locals stay out of Sobro, but The Goat makes a good case for us to venture to this area of town a bit more! Situated at the base of a residential building, The Goat offers a wide variety of items that are sure to hit the spot depending on the time of day you wander in the doors! With that being said, when I was invited to come by for a cocktail, I did not imagine I would walk in and see a whole coffee counter mere feet from the bar that I was soon to be bellied up to. The menus are exhaustive with the morning menu being filled with a long list of drinks along with pastries, sandwiches and small plates. Brunch features lots of classics while the main menu features a copious amount of options from tots (even jackfruit!), tacos, salads, flatbreads, wings, burgers, chicken, po'boys and more! Again, enough to satiate the pickiest of eaters! Drinks are standard for a full bar with a few specialty cocktails. Service was stellar as we were welcomed immediately upon entry and the bartender took great care of us. She was friendly, helpful and definitely a reason that we come back for. The décor and layout of this space is perfection. Light colors mixed with moody seating and industrial lights and finishes make this space calming, yet energetic. So first things first, I want to start with the positive the service was straight. our server was pretty attentive. It really wasn't a crowd there. The brussels sprouts were delicious. Really loved the brussels sprouts a+ all the way. OK the chicken tenders were or crunchy only thing is they had no flavor at all the fries were delicious. The macaroni and cheese. The top part was good but the macaroni and cheese was really watery and bland. I would not recommend getting that at all. The JLT my friend got that she didn't like that I got tacos. Tacos were dry didn't really have any flavor. Not good at all. I try to order a hot chocolate at the stand. No one ever came, so I just end up leaving after we paid our ticket but overall I would not recommend this restaurant. I was not impressed at all. The food was definitely not the goat. We stopped for breakfast after discovering good reviews; we were not disappointed. Parking seemed fairly ample; a dedicated parking lot and roadside parking. We easily parked in the dedicated lot fairly early on a Thursday. The restaurant is not too far off the major highway as we had flown into town early. Ordering was easy . We walked up to the register and perused menus. The Staff were friendly and answered our questions. The food is made to order and took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. We all really enjoyed our breakfasts. I had some sort of a Nashville hot chicken breakfast biscuit. There was a nice amount of spice but not overly burning to the palate. I also ordered a plate of extra biscuits for the table which had a nice tasty consistency. The coffee was of a good flavor; not burnt or watery. Extra water was served in nice glasses with ice. The restaurant is attached to an apartment or condominium and has a dedicated side entrance, also, for tenants in addition to the sidewalk entrance. There is also a bar in the restaurant (obviously not open at breakfast) and a nook up a winding staircase. The restroom was curious. In the center of the room there was a large sink with faucets. Along the wall were single bathroom stalls for either gender with their own door. All said we would definitely try again when in the area. Wow! Just for the coffee alone... I had their monthly specialty drink "Nutty Irish" but they didn't have the regular vainilla so she added the cinnamon vainilla and wow. I loved it! I also got the single huevo ranchero with bacon... it was very yummy but it was a bit overwhelming due to the amount of salsa. They were very thick. Just lighten the amount and it would of have been perfect. I enjoyed them still. The service early morning was great. No people really but a few. The staff is friendly and attentive. The decor and space is clean. Music playing at a decent volume. Parking is difficult on the street but I think they have a garage but not sure if it get validated or you pay. Fried food, heaven! I came here with my mother-in-law and two children and we pretty much ordered everything. I ordered the hot chicken wrap and a bunch of stuff for the table. The hot chicken wrap was delicious! It that perfect crunch and gave me that "healthy vibe" that I very much needed while indulging in the fried food buffet. A few stand outs were the loaded tots which have the option of adding an egg on top, def add the egg! The house made chips here are delicious and might even be better than the fries. The parking here is tough, it's mostly street parking or paid lots in the area. I love the look of this restaurant with their open concept bar area that has a patio seating option that looks out onto downtown Nashville. From the fried pickles to the loaded tater tots and their house made potato chips; this is a great place to battle that hangover or get your comfort food fix. read more

I love The Goat Sobro - there's another The Goat, but they have different menus. I love that there is a coffee shop in this location and their menu is awesome. With that, my favorite cocktail is the coffee chai latte one. It's amazing if you love coffee like me. Their flatbreads are really good, a great size. The hot chicken dip is delicious and flavorful. I liked that a lot. The tots were okay, a little smushy with cheese drizzled on top. The truffle fries were yummy. Their happy hour is pretty solid with $6 select cocktails. The blueberry mule is my favorite! Fruity, ginger beer, smooth. Each day, they also have a happy hour special so look at for that.
