Shout out to Stevie for being friendly and helpful from the beginning -- he answered all my questions about the drinks, gave great recommendations, and even let us try some cold brew. Dark moon is known for their cold brew, but today we tried the banana latte and mango matcha latte since it was on the summer menu. Both were tasty, and I appreciated the strong taste of the matcha. However I would likely stay with half sweet for all the drinks next time since it was a tad sweet for my personal preference. However it doesn't come overly sweet! The drinks came come in these cute glasses with the perfect ice! The interior has plenty of tables, WiFi, outlets, and even played the World Cup on a projector. The music wasn't too loud or distracting, so this is a good place to do work, catch up with friends, or just hang out. There is also easy parking outside. The bathroom is also clean. By far one of the best coffee shops in Vegas. Every time we come to Vegas our first stop is Dark Moon. I am finally making a review of the place. They are a Coffee Roaster so they have a great quality of coffee bean. We usually take a few bag of beans, Ethiopian, because of how smooth it is. Ambiance is chill. Lots of tables and a bar to sit down and sip your coffee. They also offer pastries a few sandwiches and a nice variety of Coffees, Matchas and Iced Teas. Place is located in a shopping with lots of parking. Service is ourstanding. Everyone one at the bar and counter were extremely nice. read more

I had heard about this coffee shop for some time, but never took the time to go there and check it out. Today was the perfect day to do so, and I am so glad I did! Plenty of parking in the parking lot, you cannot miss this place. It's got great signage and a great dark wood interior. I love a good coffee shop, and I appreciate the people that work there. Especially those who are engaging, talkative, and make you feel like you've stepped into your own kitchen. That was the experience I had at Darkmoon Coffee roasters. Super great people behind the counter made plenty of awesome suggestions, and they definitely pushed me towards the burrito. I was hungry, and I do love a good breakfast burrito so I had to do it! Let me tell you, I am so glad I did! This. Burrito was off the chain. When you first looked inside the case, you would think it's one of those convenient star burritos. It is not! These burritos are made from the good people at smash and slice, and they are absolutely delicious! I had a salted caramel latte, it was the perfect compliment to the burrito. Let me tell you, this is a perfect place to pull up a chair, have a bite to eat, or do work on your laptop. The dark atmosphere really lends a nice touch to the place, and with plenty of seating, it really does become a home away from home. The coffee itself is really good... I like a stronger blend and this was absolutely perfect! Bottom line? If you were ever up in Henderson you need to try this place out. It's just a ways up Eastern but it's definitely worth the drive. Tucked away in a quiet plaza stands Dark Moon Coffee Roasters. This cafe serves up quite the unique variety of drinks, along with a delicious pastry selection. The drinks we ordered were a Latte with Churro Moon Cap and a Flat White. The Flat White really showcased the notes within the espresso shot, really highlighting the craft of their coffee. The Latte with Churro Moon Cap quite literally tasted as if they melted a churro and served me it! It wasn't outrageously sweet, and it was just right. Dark Moon is tucked away in a shopping center in Henderson but it's not one to miss. Plenty of yummy drinks to try full of flavor and your classic coffee and matcha options. They also have some pastries (vegan options too) which is great for me and any plant based friends out there, as well as a few other breakfast options. I highly recommend grabbing a bag of beans for home or as a gift. Really good quality coffee. They also have some cool merch in store. Passed by this place a few times, and finally decided to stop by and give it a try after looking up coffee places in the area. I will start off with the good, the employees were friendly and very helpful. Could not have asked for a better customer service experience. I dont remember if there were options in sizes, but whatever the standard one is, was much better (bigger) than a-lot of these other independent smaller coffee shops. Also, the raspberry pastry was very enjoyable. The place itself was very clean, and appeared well taken care of, slightly darker vibe that goes along with their brand. No issues here. The not so good, we ordered two different iced cold brews, I did not care for either of the two drinks we got, and thought the quality was a fair bit less than what I was expecting especially for the price. My drink lacked any actual coffee taste that you want when you go to a boutique coffee place and pay a premium, it was completely overwhelmed by whatever else was put into it. The second drink had a stronger coffee flavor, however it was not enjoyable and very bitter/acidic. Originally I had wanted to give this place a 3/5 star, but I thought that might be slightly unfair, as it might just not be for our particular taste or preference. Maybe the next time we are in the area, we will stop by and try different drinks. read more

Without question, their coffee is just outstanding! Smooth and delicious. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable and make an excellent drink. They sell their beans and will grind it for you if you like. They sell shirts and hats which is always nice. Very underrated cafe in Green Valley. While not my first pick for a matcha, they have great coffee and sell beans right in the store. I've enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of the cafe. The service is very friendly and helpful, and I even see them give customers free drinks instead of letting a wrong drink be wasted. Steven crafted the drink and offered a small suggestion that made a big difference. He mentioned that he likes to add a touch of salted caramel to balance it out. As someone who loves salted caramel, I happily said yes. That recommendation took it to another level. First sip? Wow. The black sesame cold foam is something I've never experienced before. It's nutty, slightly savory, subtly sweet, and pairs beautifully with the espresso. The added salted caramel rounded everything out without overpowering it. It felt thoughtful, not sugary. I saw this place on social media and read they had great breakfast burritos so I'd been wanting to try it. For a Monday morning at about 9am the place was popping. To my disappointment, the breakfast burrito are pre-made and in a fridge right by the cash register. There was about 5 burritos left and the employee working said to take one from the fridge and they would heat it up. He said each burrito comes with a side of sauce, that you also grab from the fridge. However, there was only 1 sauce container left and the employee apologized and said they didn't have any more. So my husband and I got 2 burritos, 1 sauce, coffee. The coffees were really good and the burrito was tasty too! I am looking forward to coming back sometime. read more

A good chai is like a loving hug for me. It warms me up and makes my tastebuds happy. This chai was really great and exactly what I needed on a cold and very busy morning running around for my boss. I'm never on this side of town and wish they had another location closer to me. The barista was a sweetheart as well and even though I didn't have time to hangout the space is quite large especially for a coffee shop with a good amount of seats. I love small batch coffee roasters so I was very excited to try Dark Moon. But unfortunately, the coffee I tried just didn't jive with my palate. The inside definitely fits with the dark theme, as there is lots of black, including one of the main walls. Not a ton of seating, seems like most get stuff to-go. I ordered a cold brew, and got a batch of Novablend beans to try at home. I usually like full flavored, bold roasts but opted for Novablend because it appeared to be their most popular. Both the cold brew and Novablend were too acidic and light for my liking. I look forward to giving Dark Moon another try though and hopeful I can find a roast to enjoy. read more

Espresso, milk then top off with very little crushed iced. First taste was a warm watered down coffee. Was in the area running errands when I decided to pop in here for my first time. I've been on a matcha kick lately, so I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk. I asked them to sweeten it with a bit of simple syrup as the cashier said their matcha is not sweetened. The matcha literally tasted like straight up oat milk. The only pro was the beverage was a pretty green color, but imagine drinking plain OAT MILK. There was no nuttiness to it, nor did it taste somewhat grassy. There was no hint of bitterness or toastiness. And it was NOT sweetened at all as it didn't even taste sweet. Nothing. It was just very BLAND. I spent $8 cash (the total was $7.04 and I just told the cashier to keep the change). Not sure where they get their matcha but it wasn't made right. I've had plenty of matcha at various coffee shops and tea houses here in Vegas, SF, NYC, and LA, where I'm from. I have also traveled to Japan a handful of times. Love Japan and no one beats Japan at their matcha game. But also, no matcha latte should taste like plain oat milk. $8 for green oat milk. Disappointing. Maybe next time, I'll just stick to their coffee. Ambiance: very dark. Felt like I stepped inside a speakeasy. I love speakeasies for cocktails, but I prefer light, airy spaces for my coffee & tea. I mean it wasn't bad BUT it didn't wow me. I will say I'm use to matcha being whisked fresh and was a little surprised to see it poured from a premixed container (I'm sure it's probably made in house by the containers). My only regret is not trying the cold brew. I'm prettty sure I missed out by not ordering what they are clearly known for... Coffee Cortney coffee!!!!! Chose to stop Here for coffee and a place to work in between appointments. The small seating area was conducive to that purpose, and I was able to be productive. I wouldn't necessarily schedule a casual coffee chat with friends, as all the tables are small and there are limited seating style options - high tops and small round tables. Nothing that would suit a relaxing morning catch up. I ordered my usual iced caramel macchiato, but since they don't do macchiatos (huh?!) I settled for an iced latte with salted caramel syrup. I'm actually just fine with this option. And it was good but not fabulous. A little too dark of a roast for me, but if you like your coffee dark this would be a great option for you. I don't normally indulge in pastries at coffee shops, but had skipped breakfast due to my appointments and opted to try a chocolate croissant. It was crisp and flaky, but had a slight flavor, which I suspect came from the apple pastry that was also in the display. (Side note: it was warmed up, which melted the chocolate. Had I known that, I would have asked for it to not be warmed as melted chocolate is not traditional but don't think this affected the flavor any) Love the design of the iced coffee cups and kind of wanted to purchase one for home. Lovely Coffee house with boutique charm! Inside this hidden gem was a nice layout for small chats, quick eats and coffee drinks n treats. First time here, been wanting to check it out for a while. Sunday morning--the place is packed. No line to order at the coffee counter though. I wasn't positive what the cafe's signature drink was so I just ordered what seemed familiar to me. For 2 lattes to go it came to roundabout $15. Slightly higher pricing for coffee however considering it is high end coffee beans and locally owned non corporate--I support the mission. My hot vanilla bean latte was in a plain white cup--I took the lid off to see the beautiful design. My second drink order was an ice vanilla bean latte in a one size cup that had the cutest designed cup. Once we left I started sipping my hot coffee---I wish I would have done so in the cafe. I'm allergic to chocolate and this coffee had a hint of chocolate notes in it I feel like I was sensitive to this right away. My second drink order for another family member was a bit darker tasting as well same chocolate notes. (Not positive it was chocolate just took precaution for allergy reasons). Thought it may had been confused with a mocha instead of the vanilla bean I'm still unsure. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to turn around. I didn't finish drinking my coffee due to that. I was kind of disappointed I wish I would've read more into ingredients info. But will try this out again next time maybe the cold brew that I'm seeing is a popular drink here on the menu and or one of the amazing looking oversized pastries.
