    Large iced Huckleberry cream latte
    Candace F.

I drive across town for this latte. Huckleberry cream. I just love the flavor and I can't replicate it at home. I have an espresso machine and so have to stop by when I'm in the area. The first time I came I met a friend we sat in the first both by the window. It was very hot. I don't recommend sitting in the front booth. In the back, as you're walking to the bathroom, there's a few tables & board games. I think it would be a great place to meet friends and play games. I recently did this at Meepleville board game cafe. Sure Meepleville has more games to choose from but there's no entrance fee at Skimos & better coffee! Win win. Just bring a game and stay all day. I haven't had any problems with service. Employees seem nice, not exceptional, which I look for, but they are nice enough.

Came here for a Sunday breakfast and we were able to order right away. I ordered the Everything Avocado Toast and a Honey Vanilla Latte. The piece of toast was huge with a generous amount of avocado and seeds on top, every bite was delicious! Open sandwich style too. I also really liked the latte I got. I'd definitely love to try their other menu items next time!

I've been to this coffee shop a few times, mainly because its conveniently located near where my dogs are groomed. I really wanted to like it, especially since I believe it's family-owned and I love supporting local businesses. That said, the atmosphere has consistently felt unwelcoming. I want to be clear that I am easygoing and don't expect over-the-top friendliness or bubbly customer service. But on multiple visits, I've walked in and not been acknowledged for a while; no eye contact, greeting, nothing. Other times, I've been met with silence and a blank stare. It's honestly weird. Today was actually the first time I was asked "what can I get you today?" here. Even so, after several visits with similar experiences, this spot feels like a gamble in terms of what kind of customer service I'll receive. I only went today because I was very tired, had a long day ahead of me, and I just didn't have time to drive further out. But I genuinely felt a small sense of dread as I drove the short distance there. I visit a lot of coffee shops in the area, and this is the only one where I literally pull up with hesitancy, wondering if I will be met with a cold demeanor. Ultimately, I've decided I won't be returning because I don't need to be anywhere that feels uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I have a not-so-great experience somewhere, I'm apt to return again (if I enjoyed the product), because sometimes people have off days. But you know what, I've been here several times and at this point...to get a bad feeling before entering a coffee shop? Yeah, I did my due diligence & it's just never that serious to deal with all that to get a drink, lol. That said, there are positives worth mentioning. The shop is clean, quiet, and has plenty of outlets, making it a decent place to work if that's what you're looking for. There are also small dividers between the tables, so you get a sense of privacy from other seated customers. The lighting is on the dimmer side (no harsh overhead lights), and there's usually relaxing music playing. They also have some interesting and unique drink options such as the Mexican mocha and horchata latte. I got an iced sweet vanilla latte with almond milk this time. It was decent. It was also nice that the drink was brought to me at the table I'd been waiting at; that gesture was appreciated. Overall, while I love that this is a local, family-owned business and the drinks are good, the customer service aspect just makes it not worth it for me.

Iced Horchata Latte and Mexican Mocha

Skimos is proudly Mexican-owned and they don't hide it! From the flavors like Spicy Mexican Mocha and Horchata to the Serrano Avocado toast. It's a cute little grab and go cafe with some seating if meeting a friend for lunch or going on a solo coffee date. I had the Horchata latte which was not too sweet but average but the Mexican mocha was delicious. Reminded me of chocolate abuelita. We also tried the chicken pesto panini and California panini both were BOMB!

My husband and I had a hankering for a drink treat after spending a few hours in Lake Mead, so we decided to give Skimos a try. The space was clean with ample seating and lots of outlet plugs (hello to a great place to get some work done). There was a large bookshelf in the backroom with boardgames, books, and magazines to enjoy. There was also one gender neutral restroom onsite; door code needed. The barista counter was clean with a display case of goodies. Both baristas working were friendly. I decided to try an iced vanilla matcha latte. The matcha was vibrant in color which tells me it's good quality; the vanilla used was not my favorite though as it tasted a tad artificial. My husband got an iced Mexican chocolate - this was delicious! I definitely stole a few sips of his drink and I could tell he thoroughly enjoyed it because he drank it so fast haha! I really appreciate that Skimos offers a large variety of drinks for us non-coffee drinkers in addition to their coffee / espresso offerings. We'll definitely be back to try more from their menu.

I have been to Skimos a number of times over the years, but have always forgotten to leave a review. Skimos is a very consistent coffee shop in the Green Valley area. They offer coffee, teas, and food. Their pumpkin spice latte is among the best there is due to the fact that they use pumpkin puree in the coffee. The shop is warm and cozy and has a decent amount of seating. They have music playing in the background to help with the vibes. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely give Skimos a try.

Came to try this coffee after watching a few videos rating this the best coffee they've ever had. My overall opinion is that it is above average. Definitely better than Starbucks or similar chain coffee shops. But to be called the best coffee ever? I would have to disagree. I had salted caramel, which was good. My wife had Mexican mocha, she said it was very good. We also tried horchata frap, which in my opinion was the best drink we tried. So 4 solid stars, but not best ever.

This is my second time coming to Skimo's Coffee Shop, and I absolutely love it here. They have great options for both coffee and food, and the place itself is so cozy. I especially love that they even have games in the back--it's such a fun touch. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely come here every day if I lived closer, and I'll for sure be coming back.

Walked in early afternoon the place was dimmer than most. Seemed like a cool place to study as they have a back room, separate from the front coffee area. I was kind of bummed as my Matcha tea latte tasted a little watery/blend. I asked the worker if there was anything I can add to it like sugar or syrup said that they would have to charge me for syrup. I know all coffee places are different, but most accommodate to least ensure your drink is to your liking. On the flipside, we did enjoy the food as it was nice, fresh and tasty! The gentleman that helped us towards the end was very friendly and nice. He asked if everything was okay, but by that time I gave up on matcha latte. Unfortunately, don't think we would be back though.

Super cute coffee shop! I highly recommend the Mexican mocha with the avocado egg toast!! Food was great, coffee was delicious and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. The workers were very helpful and gave great recommendations! I'll be back to try more items there!

Got the blended matcha, creme brulee latte, California panini, and everything avocado toast. Blended matcha was a nice blended cold slush but it needed way more matcha. The matcha was not authentic. Creme brulee latte was good. It had a nice touch of creme brulee and coffee was delicious. The California panini was so delicious! I liked how they actually press it real tight and it was perfectly filled with just right amount of sauce. The toast was fresh and crunchy. The add of avocado and the everything bagel was perfect. Staff were friendly and service was good.

I cannot say enough about the amazing quality and flavor of the food that Skimos coffee shop sells! I went for a coffee date with my girlfriend, and we both had a seasonal coffee and the Egg salad, avocado toast. The pumpkin spice latte was the perfect amount of pumpkin, coffee, and spices that was not overbearing. The avocado toast was the creamiest and most delicious I have ever had. This is a walk up and order restaurant. Your food will be brought to your table when it is complete, I believe this is a small family owned facility and they are definitely doing something right! The servers were kind and the food was brought out in a decent time. There are a small selection of seats that offer both booth and chair options. This is a great place to study or go catch up with a friend.

We loved the giant photobooth back by the restrooms and had so much fun choosing the design for our photo strip. The curio cabinet near the counter of trinkets where you leave a trinket to take a trinket was such a cute thing; like geocaching inside a boba shop! Both staff members I interacted with were beyond friendly, too! Just such a great experience being here. While there, I tried the 'Calcifer' which is mango soda, strawberry poppin' boba pearls, and a splash of coconut milk. This was delicious and refreshing for such a hot day. My husband made a build-your-own drink with green tea, mango & pineapple; he really enjoyed his beverage a lot. We also ordered a potato tornado snack to share, which while good, felt a little stingy for $5.50 (our only very minor complaint). We'll absolutely be back anytime we're down on Sunset! Wishing Joah much success so that maybe someday they'll open a 2nd location closer to us... *West Henderson near The M is in desperate need of a boba shop, just saying.... :)

Maybe she was busy because she was the only one there but other than that I like someone to pep me up in the morning when I'm trying to get my coffee because I'm in a flat affect when I come in. I ended up getting their specialty- palm latte which was a decent price without alternative milk. However, when you substitute with limited options of milk plus tip; you essentially buy a $10 latte. I think is frankly ridiculous in this economy. Clearly you can't afford your real estate and you don't have enough customers coming so you charge a $10 latte. Also, the options for milk is only oat and macadamia. Almond milk is so much cheaper. But I don't own the store so. Anyways, for the $10 latte I paid for - I expected greatness. However, it was okay...it sure wasn't worth $10. The only time I'll pay $10 for a latte is if it's a PURE KONA or venti from Starbucks. It was acidic under all that macadamia milk that tones down the acidity of the coffee. Coconut syrup a bit too much for me. Overall, overpriced for small ice latte TBH. Ambience is pretty nice. Pretty clean perfect for studying. This place is really going for chic, but the location is terrible. You cannot overprice lattes at this location. This coffee shop needs to be somewhere in Summerlin.
