I was looking for a coffee shop to stop into to do some work on a Sunday and decided to give Mothership a try. It's conveniently located on St Rose Parkway and has ample parking, or a drive-thru if you are in a hurry. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which if it wasn't so hot I would have definitely taken advantage of their patio seating. I decided to sit inside and although they were busy, I was thankfully able to find a table. It's very clean and brightly decorated inside. Quite a few of their specialty lattes sounded good, but I ultimately decided on the Crème brûlée latte, iced with almond milk. While the price point was still high, it lower than many Vegas coffee shops. They have crushed ice which is nice but I do feel like it is a bit of filler, to be honest. The drink was really good though. Despite being a crème brûlée flavored latte, it wasn't overly sweet and the espresso still came through. I'd say that this was one of the quieter coffee shops I've worked from locally, so I'd recommend it for remote workers or students. read more

This is my second time to Mothership Coffee Roasters, but my first time to this location. Since it's down the street from my house and always seems to be on the way to where I'm going, I decided to stop in and give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! I love a good cup of coffee. My preference is cream and some sort of sweetener. Other times, I'll go for a latte, a mocha, or some specialty drink. Drink. When I saw the cherry blossom latte on the menu, I knew I had to give it a go. And what a more perfect complimentary side dish than a humongous chocolate chip cookie? But first, let's talk about the aesthetic. From the outside this place seems pretty standard. Huge sign, the windows are reflective so you can't really see inside, but when you open the door you are in for a treat. I love a good coffee shop that takes pride in their decor and this one definitely does it. In spades. The place feels open, elegant, but not stuffy, and definitely casual. It's the kind of place you could bring your laptop and hang out for a few hours and get some work done. Okay, let's get down to the nuts and bolts. That Cherry Blossom latte was one of the most amazing drinks I have ever had. I heard it's seasonal, so it's one of those. Get it when you can. I think I got it on the last day. But will keep checking because I want this again. The chocolate chip cookie was absolutely amazing, definitely fresh, and tasted perfect. This is definitely going to be on my short list of coffee places to go to. Las Vegas has such a wide and diverse amount of personalized, non chain, coffee places. Why would you go to Starbucks when you could go here? Bottom line? This place is off the charts. This is a nice location and has a roomy interior. There's also tables outside available, but in this summer heat, I don't know who would want to do that. It has a drive through, so that's a great feature. The drinks are pretty consistent with the other location I've been to. Though, I would have liked my coffee to be a bit hotter. It wasn't even luke warm, but since I was already in the car, I didn't want to have to turn around and have them remake it. So I would suggest you take a sip before leaving the premises. read more

I've been to the drive thru of this location a couple of times in the past and haven't had the best of experiences. Today, my husband and I decided to give this location a try again, but this time we walked in. Like all Mothership locations, this one has a great atmosphere with lots of faux plants, natural light, and vibrant wallpaper. There was a variety of seating options, including a conversational booth which was unique and some patio seating out front. The music was of course on point. There are multiple gender neutral restrooms that were also nicely decorated. Everything was super clean too. This location also offers a drive-thru and has a ton of parking for people wanting to hang out. Baristas were all relatively friendly. We came around 10:30am and were pleasantly surprised to see they had plenty of pastries left for a light breakfast. I ordered their chocolate croissant which was quite delicious, but rather small. I also tried their iced banana matcha latte with oat milk which was topped with cinnamon - this was okay. The banana was super subtle, cinnamon top was incredibly overpowering, and the matcha felt a little watered down. I somewhat enjoyed it, but definitely not the greatest matcha in town. My husband went with a classic nitro cold brew which he said was good and decently strong. For his pastry he went with the blueberry lemon scone. I definitely stole a bite of his scone and it was so good and pretty sizable; made me wish I had ordered that too instead of the small croissant. Although our visit today was much more pleasant than previous ones, Mothership still remains a little hit-or-miss for me. It's been a minute since I've updated my review for this place so thought I would! I absolutely love this coffee shop and love their coffee so much. There's plenty of seating inside and out and they have pretty good and fast wifi, which is very necessary for me when I go work at a coffee shop. I love that they have a big variety of different coffees and also do seasonal ones, too. Recently I've been trying to cut back on having too much caffeine and they do offer decaf coffee, so I got that last time with a vanilla bourbon. It was delish! Great coffee, great ambience, and one of the few independent local coffee roasters in town that offer a number of different varieties to take home if you're a coffee geek like me and want to bring whole beans back to grind and use on my own machinery. I'm not so much a brewed coffee guy and as such, I got a bag of their Ballast Espresso which has a super nice comforting deep chocolate and caramel flavor but not burnt like some of the "larger national coffee shops" have. The vibe in the store is super light, airy, and chill. There were plenty of people enjoying the coffee or eating some brunchy items, but the layout and high ceilings made everything feel quite open and zen. Beautiful and peaceful decor. I tried the crème brûlée coffee. I didn't like it at all. ITT was covered in cinnamon and tasted nothing like crème brûlée does. Came back to this location of Mothership Coffee Roasters in Las Vegas as we were headed out of town. I think that Mothership has some of the best coffee in the city and their beef empanadas are ridiculously good. It's flaky and crispy and the beef has so much flavor. I try to make it to Mothership every time I'm in Vegas, it is one of my favorite coffee shops. Especially in Vegas! I love their creme brûlée latte, their vanilla bourbon latte is great too. They also have a latte of the month that supports an important cause. The theme inside is cohesive and inviting and their beans are incredible too! I personally love the Ballast Espresso beans, but I plan to try more when I'm out there again. They have service inside and drive thru. Both are pretty quick, usually even when it can be fairly busy. From my brief visit to the mothership COFFE shop, I can say I didn't really feel welcomed and/ or wanted at the establishment. I may have been a DoorDash driver, but I do not think that validates the wait time I experienced when I was asked if I wanted a coffee after delivering one of the employees' breakfast orders. If you are offering a drink, especially to a DoorDash driver, should that not mean you start working on the drink after asking what I'd like to drink? I brought my laptop with me and soon found that it was filled with lots of other people working on their laptops as well. I ordered their "Sip with Purpose," to benefit the ACLU. I personally can't stand the ACLU, but the choice sounded intriguing. It was an iced Cherry Mocha Cold Brew Latte. I also purchased a blueberry scone. Lots of seating, cute wall decor, and merch! Service was good, someone came around to clean tables frequently, and behind the counter employees were very kind and helpful. I had gotten a bacon sausage egg breakfast sandwich on an everything ciabatta, which for $12 wasn't fully worth it - the ciabatta was exceedingly hard to bite into, making it tough to enjoy the meal. My coffee (caramel latte) was delicious. This is a great spot to meet up with friends to catch up over coffee, I love the coffee, but have reservations about the food. Despite the busy environment, the service was quick and baristas were friendly. The crème brûlée coffee was amazing, very smooth and not too sweet or bitter.
