I cannot begin to explain how much love I have for the night crew here. Every single one of them are talented, professional, kind, and welcoming. As a neurodivergent person I often get anxious places when I'm worried they will make my drink wrong or if they take too long I worry If they forgot me. Here I just get to be a regular customer. I have never once (after 3 pm) had to return a drink or ask them To remake it. It's always consistent and delicious and it's why I come here 3 x a week and pay almost 9$ for a coffee. Drive thru. Excellent. The espresso machine was down today and so they made my coffee different but it was still fantastic. My brother got a blended Chewbacca and loved it. I stopped in because I was down the street at a Yelp experience and I really needed some cold coffee to keep me going. I've never been to one of these coffee shops before so I went with an OG iced latte which is a salted caramel and vanilla drink. The drink was good but tiny at 12oz and I paid nearly $9 after tax and tip. It was also filled with ice and I feel like I had four sips in total. The shop is pretty big and does offer a lot of different seating but I was on the go so I didn't hangout. I have been inside previously and it's a huge space and decently quick if you are trying to get some work done. I ordered an Iced Hazelnut Latte with Almond Milk. Tasted great. Not overly sweet and the quality of coffee was good. Price also surprised it didn't cost $8-9 especially since I added an alt milk but paid a little under $7. Will be stopping by here more often. I had an appointment in the area and needed a spot to finish up some work towards the end of the day. I had earmarked this spot for awhile, but hadn't had a chance to try it yet, so I figured I'd finally stop in. It's located in a parking lot with a few other businesses, but thankfully I didn't have an issue finding a spot. Immediately upon walking in I was greeted with rock music and funky decor, I knew this was a spot for me! The barista greeted me and I told him I'd need a few minutes to review the menu. I asked if their chai was spicy or mild and he advised that while he personally had not tried it, he believed it was mild. Accordingly, I opted to try the cinnamon dolce latte instead as I like a really spicy chai. While I was waiting for my coffee, I settled into a table and started working. To my surprise, the barista hand delivered my drink (and everyone else's) versus just yelling your name to grab it. This was a small, but very nice touch. My latte was good, with the warming spice of the cinnamon and the subtle sweetness, rounded out by espresso. I usually opt for almond milk and it's not always handled well in iced drinks, sometimes it can leave a funky aftertaste, but they handled it perfectly to where it just provided the creamy backdrop. This is definitely a place I'd stop into again to get work done, just not any meetings as it is a bit noisy- as most coffee shops are nowadays. There are a lot of coffee shops in Vegas, but between the vibe, service and quality of the coffee I'd place this one towards the top. read more

Hubby and I have come here a few times. It is not too far from airport, looks small but huge and cozy inside. Lots of seating available and there are games and books to use/play. They also have a bathroom that was very nice and clean and easy to access in the back. The service provided was fast and friendly. I ordered the 12 oz mild roast coffee with a splash of cream and stevia. It was so delicious and hubby enjoyed his nitro brew. We had this coffee at UNLV today! So good! We were there for a 5K race today and so happy these guy were there! Before our race started, I ordered the Mango Smoothie with whip cream. AMAZING! In the area and looked on Yelp to check out a new place for an afternoon tea. It had great reviews so decided to check it out. The place is super cool. It's Star Wars themed and has fun decor, lots to look at. There are little alcoves to sit within the front of coffee shop. There are tons of books you can pick out and read, maybe even "borrow" I guess. Then I noticed another room and took a look. It's a good size room with tables and people are reading, studying, hanging out. They even have a whole rack of board games. What a great concept! Back in college I would have loved this type of place. Or if I worked remote this would be nice as well, even just in general. I was surprised it was pretty quiet and there were a good amount of people there. I ordered an Iced Chai Latte and it wasn't good- no flavor. I didn't taste it until I got to the car and not my style to have them fix it. I ordered it the same I would at any other place, with nonfat milk but there was barely a chai taste so definitely disappointing. Service did not stand out. The person who took my order was efficient but not welcoming. The person that handed me my drink at least smiled. Anyway, the 3 stars is for it looking like a cool hang out and I like the vibe. This place reminds me of what coffee shops were like in the 90s. The space is packed with books, games, assorted couches, tables and chairs that invite you to get comfortable and stay a while. Now days most coffee places feel like they want you to get your drink to go as quickly as possible. They have an assortment of fun flavored coffee drinks and concoctions. They did advise the drinks are generally very sweet, which was nice as that gave us the opportunity to ask for it at about 50% sweetness which was plenty. I have been coming to Grouchy John's on Maryland Parkway for the last 7 years...so this review has been a long time coming. My then boyfriend, now husband, was the one who introduced me to Grouchy's...and since then, Grouchy's has been the measuring cup I have judged all my coffee experiences against. The coffee here is not only great tasting...not too bitter, but bold enough to enjoy, it is a true experience. From the Nerdy Star Wars decor, to the themed drinks, the games and community events, to even the artists that the shop supports...there is something for everyone. There are books to get lost in, comfy chairs, tables to work at...an outside area to sit when it's not too hot, and a drive thru! There is a stamp card program to let you earn free drinks, and they support students and teachers as well. If you want a bite to eat, not only are their typical pastries to choose from, but there are wraps, and my personal favorite...oatmeal. They will even mash a banana up into it for me with some peanut butter! I've never ever had a barista who didn't seem to be truly enjoying their job at Grouchy's. My only complaint, which really isn't a complaint, but an observation, is the prices have increased quite a bit. My husband and I paid $7 a piece for a medium iced latte. But prices are up everywhere...I'm willing to pay for good service and a great coffee experience. Great coffees! Fun store. A one if a kind stop for coffee and pastry. In fact, the donuts they sell are from Carl's Donuts (a famous enough donut store off Sunset and is a personal favorite) and if you're in for a real splurge, try the Butter Me Up at Grouchy's made with cookie butter as a primary ingredient.
