I really loved the way the staff was so welcoming and attentive. There is plenty of space for someone to either study or for those who work from home. I had to grab a couple stickers they have more to choose from but I think a simple touch goes a long way! The cappuccino was very rich in flavor! I really enjoyed how strong the coffee was in sure you can add more sweetness if you're a sweet coffee drinker. The raspberry croissant was the perfect combination with my coffee it paired very well. I will be back to try the chorizo and cheese next time! read more

This is my favorite local coffee shop that I come to every week. Lots of seating, the greatest employees, and incredible drinks. Today I tried their new Corn Cream Latte with Sweet Corn Moon Cap (essentially a fancy, delicious cream foam top), and it even came with these small crunchy corn kernels on top. I'm always on the lookout for a good matcha and Dark Moon never disappoints! I love their blueberry matcha as my regular order, but love that they also offer a hojicha. Recently tried their matcha with black sesame cold foam and it was *chef's kiss* perfect. They also regularly have both savory and sweet pastries which is great for me as a savory girlie. First time here and once I walked in I was greeted with a hello from Isaac. I informed him that it was my first time and he gladly told me what was popular here and their newest items! He raved about their strawberry syrup. Although I went with an Iced Vanilla Bean Latte, I'll be trying that strawberry syrup next time! My first sip of the Iced Vanilla Bean Latte was AMAAAAZING! it's made with their housemade Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla which was super tasty, just as it sounds! I had him help me rate the sweetness level on a scale of 1-10 and he rated it a 6.5. So I went sweeter because I have sweet teefs! I also got their ham & cheese croissant and it was super tasty and delightful! They toasted it and it definitely gave it a nice crisp crunch. It was soft and warm inside! I came in on a Tuesday just before 1pm and it was pretty calm inside, which I love! Highly recommend this place!! I'll be back!!! read more

They were both sooooo good the latte was perfect.It was nice and strong and not too sweet and the matcha was refreshing with a perfect touch of coconut . Solid coffee shop, guys! Coffee and vibes on point. My husband and I have had this on our list for a good minute, but it's so far from us that we hadn't made it over yet. Lo and behold, I happen to be working in the area and what coffee shop do I pass? Dark Moon! I had a good feeling about this one, and I was right. The staff was friendly and inviting(shoutout to Sage), and the coffee was yum. The syrups are made in house, which is a huge plus for me, and the flavor of the espresso was so flavorful and well balanced. On top of this, the lattes that I tried were not overly sweet. I had a hot salted caramel latte, and I brought a hot pumpkin spice latte home for my husband. They were both delicious, and the pumpkin latte was clearly made with real pumpkin purée. I can't wait till I'm in the area again so I can go try more. read more

My friend and I came here for drinks and to talk but unfortunately we didn't have the best experience. One staff member was incredibly kind and helpful, while the other was quite rude. I ordered a pistachio drink that Worker A recommended. I didn't catch whether it was matcha or coffee, but I was fine with either. When the drinks came out, I asked Worker B which drink was which because I wasn't sure what my friend had ordered and just wanted to clarify the names. He replied, "This one is matcha and this one is coffee." Since that didn't answer my question about the actual drink names, I asked again for clarification. He repeated himself, and when I asked once more, he responded, "Matcha is green and coffee is brown." It's fascinating when confidence shows up before comprehension does. read more

This was my first experience at Dark Moon and I was a little nervous because I don't usually go to coffee shops like it but I can say that I am so glad I did! Jada helped me at the register and was very sweet with helping me work my way around the menu. She was very knowledgeable about what they were offering which made my selection process a lot easier! She recommended the Black Sesame Matcha and it was soo good! Definitely a new favorite for sure. Dely was on the bar and she made the drink perfectly and was so kind to add more sweetener for me when I had asked. Josh was also a help and recommended me the Ham & Cheese croissant, normally I'm skeptical of cafe pastries but this one scratched an itch I didn't know I had! He was very kind and definitely seemed to be the reason the vibe was so light here! The Ham & Cheese croissant was very savory with a hint of sweetness due to the croissant. It was buttery, flakey and soft after Jada had warmed it for me! It tasted like maybe a swiss or gouda cheese? Very good nonetheless. It was also so pretty inside! Very modern, the black tile complimented the wood. Everything inside just tied into itself and made the place perfect. I can definitely see myself studying here or working. Meet the Business Owner: Kyle P.

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters is locally owned and operated by Kyle P. Kyle deep roots into the community being born & raised in Henderson, NV. Kyle is an alumni of the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada Las Vegas & also has vast hospitality experience within Forbes 5 star hotels such as the Wynn Las Vegas for over 8 years. This experience was led to create Dark Moon Coffee Roasters to showcase the quality, art, & hospitality of what coffee can be. When Kyle is not working, he enjoys grabbing a beer at the local brewery, traveling with his wife & son to new places, or trying to fit in a round of golf!

Yes, we have a rotating selection of single origin coffee beans ready to purchase everyday.

Is this a good place to study? If so, are there outlets?

Not really, the seating is wood slab-style. Not meant to sit for long periods of time. However I was able to read a part of my book and answer emails. I loved it!

Does the shop use matcha powder to make the matcha drinks?

The matcha we use is a ceremonial grade matcha from Art Of Tea. Yes it is powder form, we whisk it fresh per order.

Do you have outlets?

Yes

What's your best seller coffee?

Right now it is our Lunar Blend which is our current espresso blend of beans from Guatemala, Colombia and Ethiopia.

Do you have wifi?

Do you have vegan gluten-free pastries?

Yes, right now we have a vegan gf oatmeal apricot and cranberry cookie!

Do you have outdoor seating?

We would love to but we aren’t able to accommodate any outdoor seating due to an ADA ramp/stairway being in front of our storefront.

CraftKitchen bakes all of our pastries for us! We will always have 1-2 gluten free options, right now our GF options are a Lemon Raspberry Muffin, and an oatmeal apricot cranberry cookie.

Quite a few of their specialty lattes sounded good, but I ultimately decided on the Crème brûlée latte, iced with almond milk. While the price point was still high, it lower than many Vegas coffee shops. They have crushed ice which is nice but I do feel like it is a bit of filler, to be honest. The drink was really good though. Despite being a crème brûlée flavored latte, it wasn't overly sweet and the espresso still came through. I'd say that this was one of the quieter coffee shops I've worked from locally, so I'd recommend it for remote workers or students.

Most coffee shops have a fairly boring interior, but this one has a definite elegant but not stuffy feel.

My youngest ordered an iced strawberry matcha and an ensaymada. My oldest had an iced vanilla matcha and an empanada that was off a special menu they had. We opted to dine in and grabbed a cute little table for ourselves. Love all the little sheep around the place. Everything was wonderful! The matcha was perfect, the banana bread was decadent! My oldest still talks about the empanada she had! Highly recommend checking this place out!

I experienced the best service from the team working. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast burrito and matcha drink. Everything was made to order. The breakfast burrito was solid and yummy. My drink was made to perfection. I can't speak highly enough about this business the food and drink they serve and the incredible staff. Parking is located on the premises, but can fill up since it is a medical building. I came in mid morning and I found a shaded place easily. I stumbled across them there and it would be way more convenient to try them immediately instead of trying to plan a weekday trip. I went with a large cold brew ($8.50, charged as a latte fyi) served black. They poured it immediately, which was nice. It also came with ice, unfortunately. That said, it was reasonably strong and not very bitter or challenging in acidity, and the caffeine boost was obvious after a few sips (through a wide boba-like straw, strangely enough). I will consider trying Windfall again if I'm passing through the St. Rose Farmers Market, more due to convenience for caffeine than really being a top-tier offering. Other local coffee roasters are just consistently more delicious and/or cost-effective.

Last time, I got an extra shot with my Yawtte but then it muted the blackberry flavor more than I wanted so it was a bit hard to find that balance. Overall, definitely worth a visit & we'll keep going back when we're in the area.

I was first turned on to CRCR by good friend and former owner of Bread and Butter Chris Herrin. A few months later while dining at Eat in downtown, I enjoyed that same delicious smooth cuppa joe,(unfortunatey, both B&B and Eat no longer use them) and knowing that they were in Boulder City, I knew one of these days I HAD TO go straight to the source. Pulling up to their storefront, it looks like nothing from the outside but as you enter, the smell of roasting coffee beans hit you like WOW!!! We met Don and Erik Anderson who are responsible for making some of the most delicious coffee you will have ever tasted(if you haven't yet). They were even nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes tour and explain their delicate roasting process using state of the art equipment (infrared heat, not open fire) and even offered tips on how to enjoy their product in the best possible way. We decided to grab a bag of one of Eirk's favorite blends-Bolivia: Amor De Dios, a 12 ounce bag for $10. If you're looking for a specific characteristic, flavor, etc. they have other blends available and Erik will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you haven't had a taste of Colorado River Coffee Roasters, places like Grouchy John's, Great Harvest Bread Company, and Sambalatte have their own blends from CRCR that they serve up. You may also purchase coffee from CRCR online which will be delivered right to your doorstep, or better yet, take a drive to Boulder City and go straight to the source and get an even fresher product! Here are some helpful tips that Erik and Don suggested: COFFEE: DO NOT grind the beans fine...a coarse grind is suggested WATER: DO NOT boil your water!... 200 degrees Farenheit... no higher! EQUIPMENT: No fancy equipment/gadgets here- a FRENCH PRESS is their weapon of choice, and how Erik and Don enjoy the fruits of their labor.... DOSAGE: Start with an equal ratio of 1 gram beans to 1 gram water and steep for 4 minutes...if it isn't strong enough, increase the beans to your liking STORAGE: Store beans in a cool, dark place....DO NOT refrigerate or freeze!!! BEST BY: Enjoy within 1 MONTH of purchase Erik and Don have also been chosen as one of the top seeded companies to compete later this year on the National level in Seattle with the best in the country. Both drinks were deliciously creamy and the latte was especially flavorful. We did not order food but everything looked amazing. The shop is pretty good sized with plenty of tables and is open to the roasting room so you can watch and even ask questions. The staff was very friendly and pumped out drinks to the busy shop quickly. There is a small parking lot and ample street parking.

We got 4 complementary sample bags of espresso and a $16 high grade matcha from Japan. I cannot wait to try the products. Recommend if you are looking for a coffee roaster spot.

I recently discovered Dark Moon Roasters and was pleasantly surprised! My partner and I ordered an iced blueberry pie matcha and an iced pumpkin spice latte. The blueberry pie matcha was a delightful blend of flavors. The matcha was smooth and the blueberry flavor was subtle, making it a refreshing and slightly sweet drink. The pumpkin spice latte was a pleasant surprise. Unlike the overly sweet pumpkin spice lattes found at other chains, this one had a strong, bold coffee flavor with just the right amount of pumpkin spice. It was a perfect balance of flavors. The staff was friendly and the service was efficient. The minimalistic decor created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. While we didn't try any pastries this time, they looked delicious and we'll definitely be back to try them next time. I had a good laugh when one of the baristas broke into song and dance after we ordered - a unique and fun touch to our experience! The shop's layout is intriguing, but the wooden seating can be a bit uncomfortable for long stays. The temperature inside has been hit or miss on my visits, swinging between really hot and really cold. Nevertheless, I appreciate the unique vibe and the fact that they roast their own beans. I recently visited Dark Moon Coffee Roasters and had a fantastic experience! The pour-over coffee was absolutely delicious--rich and perfectly balanced. I also tried their dirty chai, which had a wonderful ginger kick that added a unique twist to the classic drink. The vibe inside was just as inviting as the drinks. I popped into Dark Roasters Coffee for a quick break and left seriously impressed. I ordered a hot vanilla cappuccino and an apple pie danish, and both hit the spot. The cappuccino was smooth and rich with just the right hint of vanilla--not too sweet, just warm and cozy. The apple pie danish was flakey, buttery, and filled with tender, cinnamon-spiced apples. I always make a point to try out all the local coffee shops when I visit a place and have become a coffee snob ;) This is my favorite local shop in the Vegas/Henderson area I've tried so far and I've tried about 10! Their house blend is okay but the really good beans tend to be Colombian, Ethiopian, or New Guinea. Staff is always friendly, but I do really wish they would do what some other shops do and offer a free cup of coffee when you buy a bag of beans :) read more
