I purchased a truck a few years ago and had great service and recently purchased a used car and had a few issues with the clutch and over a few months it took to get it sorted I was always treated with respect. They fixed the initial problem and even gave me a rental car when the repair was taking a longer than expected time. thank you Darlings! I bought my car here; Signed up with your financing and paid it off with zero missed payments. I have taken it here for regular service and inspection since. I am about to trade in and buy a new vehicle as this one is getting to about 100K. In March, I brought by car in for an inspection. I also asked to have the cabin air filter changed, the oil changed and a basic multipoint inspection for any impending issues. After the initial state inspection, I was told that one of the rear brake lights wasn't working. I told them to fix it. I come pick up the car and move in with my life. In mid-August someone tells me that my car is way past it's inspection sticker date.... I call Darlings and say "someone forgot to put an inspection sticker on my car." Your agent looks up the job, notes that the inspection found the brake light problem. But, there was no corrective action on the invoice. I assure the agent that I told them to fix it and it never was. They schedule for me to drop off my car for ANOTHER inspection (cause it's been beyond the legal 30 days) at a super inconvenient time...although not as inconvenient as getting pulled over and getting a ticket. I am now told I have to pay hundreds of dollars for a ball joint and the brake light seemed to magically fix itself. I talked to three agents so far. All of them refuse to believe anything but the lack-of-information in the invoice. I assure them that I asked to have the brake light fixed when they called to inform me (pretty standard stuff). The only response I get is for them to re-explain the 30 day window for state inspections.... Each of your agents refuse to acknowledge that there was a mistake made. Each of your agents refuse to do ANYTHING about follow up other than explain the situation I'm in at the moment. In fact, I was told by two of them that THEY personally weren't involved in inspecting the car. So, they're not the ones to complain to....implying that I have to somehow chastise the individual mechanic or person I talked to in March for dropping the ball rather than just holding "Darlings" responsible. I'm not looking for a free ball joint. The inspection was free already because I bought the car there. So, I'm not even looking for a free inspection. But, I'm not even getting an apology. I'm getting "there's no way we can determine the truth of the matter from our paperwork and therefore we are neutral...not placing blame and not providing any customer service to alleviate." This is terrible customer service to a loyal customer. Within the next two years, I'll be replacing two vehicles. I NOT be buying them from Darlings. I will not be servicing my vehicles at Darlings. Everyone I hear mention the the word "car" will suddenly get a story of how unbelievably crappy an experience I had with Darlings. Maybe you don't care because I don't spend enough money. But, if you were an honest and fair shop, you should. read more

I had to replace a loaded Mitsubishi after an accident. It was during the quarantine, I delivered mail and needed the vehicle. There was nothing I could afford in the area. These dishonest humans sold me the same vehicle, one year younger with the ABSOLUTE basics, doesn't even have blue tooth for 2,000 more than I paid for the loaded model I wrecked. Within the first two months it needed brakes, 6 months a new exhaust system and now a year into it and $6000 still owed no one will buy it and no one will take it in trade. These people are stereo-typical car salesman. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! DISGRACE......and to a military family to boot. read more

We brought our Hyundai Santa FE in for an inspection and was informed by the service department that it needed a new transmission. We were shocked when informed that a car we bought just a few months prior needed an expensive transmission repair. After expressing our concerns, they said they would take 30 % off the grand price of $3000. Whether $2000. or $3000. it is outrageous. We do not feel that we should have had to pay for something that should have been discovered during a thorough inspection prior to the sale. Also our vehicle was only at 79,000. miles. Facts show that: average automatic transmission lasts around 150,000 to 200,000 miles. What about the integrity of reputable service after the sale. We made several efforts to resolve this issue amicably with Darlings owner, salesperson and service department to no avail. We were in hopes the Darling's dealership would in good conscious do the right thing in this case, but they refused our request for remedy without charging us an exorbitant amount. I do not recommend this dealership. Look elsewhere for your next Auto or services. read more

Regarding their service dept.: took my pickup here for what should have been a simple fix- heater problem- came away- they said I needed a new engine, had a coolant leak (NOT!) I may be female but I am not stupid and know my vehicle. Nothing is wrong with the engine, nor is there a coolant leak. They referred me to the sales dept. How friggin tacky is that. I also asked them to rotate my tires- which they charged me for and they DIDN'T do it. A bunch of thieves. I would never, ever take my business there again. They are LIARS and cheats. read more

Today was car shopping day and I spent some time with Jim at Darlings. Very nice, interested in being helpful and totally upfront about cost and pricing. I didn't feel like he was holding back or playing games and I really enjoyed the respectful treatment. I would certainly go back there. Had a great experience here. We had to trade in our 2WD for 4WD before a big trip north. Our upside-down loan on our 2WD kept us from getting a loan for something older and cheaper (our plan A) but Paul and Jim worked with us to get an amazing year-end deal on a newer truck that met our needs without totally blowing our budget. My husband and I agree we never felt we were being "schmoozed" or forced into any decisions. I'm always skeptical at dealerships, but everyone we interacted with (Paul, Jim, Jason, Nathan) seemed genuine about treating us well and answering all our questions. We took the truck back two days later to pick up some paperwork and mentioned we thought it was due for an oil change (7K miles); they agreed and did it for FREE, plus a tire rotation AND inspection just to be sure everything was on the up-and-up. Compared to our last dealership experience, this was a DREAM. read more

Went to this dealership to get service on my 06 PT Cruiser. The staff provided excellent customer service, in a low pressure environment. The representative I worked with was very helpful. The service and body shop director was also very helpful and provided competitive estimates for the work that need to be done on my vehicle. I dont know were to start!!! Tim was an awesome sales person took us around the lot and showed us cars that met our budget and always made us feel at home! Our credit score wasn't the best but that didn't stop him at all! They were never pushy or look down on us because we didn't want a brand new car! Also I can't thank Nate Marquis enough! He did so much research and talked with so many banks to help us! Even when we got denied he went the extra mile to make sure he did everything for us!! Without the two of them we would not have a new safe car for our family! I recommend Darlings to anyone looking for a car. They dont lie when they say they are there to help and also make you feel like family! Even if banks turn you down they work with local people to help make it happen.
