I rate it at five stars for the beauty of the property, the cheerfulness, competence, and engagement of the staff, the food quality and options, the variety of activities, and the pristine upkeep. My father's apartment is one that I would cheerfully live in today. But the most important thing is that my father is content and enjoys his life there. When he gets confused, he'll often tell me "but there's this lovely room that a nice person just showed me that I can stay in!". It means everything to me that he feels safe, even when he can't remember or process as well as he used to. I'm sure that there's no "one size fits all", but I would definitely encourage reaching out to them if you are considering memory care for a loved one!

The administration had promised her a new apartment in their new Terrace Early Stage Memory Care unit since February, 2021. After the open house was held in June 2021 for this new unit, we were notified in July my stepmom was not going to the new Terrace she was being offered a room in the locked Alzheimer's Unit for an additional $2,000.00. This has been done without an Alzheimer's diagnosis and if she doesn't take this room she is out. Based on my, and the rest of my family's interactions with my stepmom, it is clear she is not in need of the care that the other residents of this unit require. It appears this facility has contracted with many outside customers for this new unit and in all likelihood for more rent than my stepmom was going to pay as a current resident. She loves living at Wingate and now is forced by circumstances to leave. If you are looking for an assisted living for your loved one skip this facility.

A few key highlights from our experience: * Responsive & Attentive Staff: On extremely short notice, the team set her up in a darling apartment. Despite the fast turnaround, they took time to really listen to my mother's questions, making her feel welcomed and safe. * Welcoming Atmosphere: The environment is light, open, and clean. There are plenty of activities available, as well as quiet areas to sit, watch birds, and enjoy the flowers. * Resort-Like Feel: It truly feels like a full-time retreat! As far as housekeeping every time I am here someone is cleaning something. The place is immaculate. It's as beautiful as a hotel with an old country feel. I've been told by residents that reside here that the food is fantastic, and I would have to say they're right. If you come here around any mealtimes you will be greeted by tempting aromas. They're always doing something to keep they're residents engaged. There's always activities, outings, and people coming to perform. They even have someone bring baby goats. But the most important thing is people are happy here and they feel safe.

Family member had chest pains and did not receive prompt care. The patient next to her and issues that werent taken care of.. One patient was screaming that she had to pee. My wife has been a resident at The Lighthouse at Lincoln for a year now. She has received exceptional care and is very comfortable at the facility. The staff is so caring and attentive to all her needs. There is nothing harder than having to place your loved one in a memory care facility. In my case I held out for as long as I physically could before placing her in a memory facility. The first day you leave your loved one is very hard. You are never sure you have made the right decision. The staff at The Lighthouse at Lincoln made me feel very comfortable leaving my wife. They communicated with me that day as to how she was doing and for the next few days before I went back to visit her. The staff communicates on how my wife is doing with every visit. They are also concerned as to how I am doing. The most important part of leaving your loved one at a memory facility is how you as the caregiver feel. After a visit I feel very relieved knowing my wife is safe and well taken care of at The Lighthouse at Lincoln. Gary H
