The cheese blends right into the tomato sauce, giving it that signature orange color, and it's super cheesy, like liquid gold. I got a slice of plain cheese Pizza. It just came out the oven so that was a plus for me. I love freshly made Pizza over a reheated slice.. The slice was great! Perfect. Cooked to a nice golden brown.. Not burnt and not undercooked.. Good cheese to sauce ratio. Sauce had a nice flavor.. A lil sweet.. Had a thin crust with a bit of crisp. The end crust was nice too. Light, crispy and chewy. Pizza guy was straight to the point like an ol school Pizza parlor. Guess if you visit enough and they get to know you maybe they'll chat with you a bit. Who knows.. Anyway, I came for the Pizza and not the convo.. The spot is in a strip mall and inside it's just like a regular Pizza joint. Tables and chairs, the order counter, bathrooms. No music playing. Just a TV showing sports.. Oh.. and signs all over, letting you know that they ONLY take CASH! So make sure to bring that bag with ya! In the end, if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good slice, check out Amore! It's a good slice. That's all folks! -Ray

I was wrapping up my trip from Manhattan and craving some unique Korean pizza combos after a long…read moreday riding several subway trains. I am a very picky eater, and my stomach can't handle heavy foods. My group arrived at the restaurant at 5 PM and were immediately welcomed warmly by Crystal and Insun before being seated. My group was able to get a table right away when we arrived but it does get busy fast especially during their peak hours. Following up, both Sam and Insun helped us with our drinks, such as providing water right away and even taking extra time to listen and recommend what beers/sojus would be best for the foods we were ordering, my group's preferences in alcohol tastes, and what would be best in terms of our alcohol tolerance! I originally came for their pizza, but since I was on vacation, my group decided we could all share different foods. I appreciate Sam's time in explaining their dish specialties and answering all the questions I had. I can say for certain this is one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to! My group ordered their rose pasta, aglio pasta, half serving of soy garlic chicken wings, half serving of sweet and spicy chicken wings, half serving of the mahsil pizza & half serving of their BBQ pizza. The pizza wasn't too doughy at all, and I love how the toppings aren't overpowering each other; plus, the pizza was loaded with toppings. Each chicken wing was crispy and had the perfect balance between sweetness and savory. I came for the pizza, but the rose pasta stood out to me the most! The sauce was very rich and like "melted" right in my mouth. I have a small stomach, but I couldn't stop eating everything my group ordered because each dish was comforting in its own way! Overall, the space is very cozy and lively; the customer service was not only attentive, but extremely kind and considerate of our time! Definitely come during dinner time, as the food is very comforting and feels warm in your stomach!

Our first (and probably last) visit seemed to havd so much promise but was ultimately…read moreunderwhelming. Two things basically undid them. First, staff didn't check on our table once. Then, even more importantly, the pizza was impossibly cheesy. In fact, there was so (disproportionately) much cheese that it practically overshadowed whatever else toppings there were. We had large golden crust half and half pizza with bulgogi on on half and Korean chive on the other. We liked the crusty crust and what looked and tasted like sweet potato mousse which appeared to have been squeezed around the outer edges inside the crust ring. The silverware and crockery, including the stand to lay the pizza on, were all nice touches, so I wish the service and food matched these other elements much more closely. They have a bar and flat screen TVs, and the music was audible but not too distracting. I wish them well.

The pizza had a firm under carriage. Thin sauce. And a thick cheesey top layer. The sauce was a miss for me. It was soupy and didnt have much flavor. (Yeah it all depends on how much you eat in a sitting and for us, this was just great). Food was fresh, focaccia bread was warmed. Two other employees came to speak to us just to make sure everything was as we expected. All we could say was everything was perfect. Oh and we had no room for dessert but took a cannoli 'to go'. What a sweet presentation. And talk about fresh cream and a crispy shell!!! The best cannoli I've ever eaten. Bravo guys. We'll be back

I was thinking of getting a personal size pizza this evening and I was craving Mushrooms, so I…read moreordered from the Parlor which is related to Gino's Pizza Parlor in Roslyn. The order came within 20 minutes of ordering. The pizzetta was well done and held up the toppings very well. Was it the best I've ever had, no, I've had better Truffle/Mushroom pies at places like Diamond Slice and L'Industrie. But let me emphasize that the pizza was not bad at all, I felt that those pizzerias did it a bit better and their ingredients felt more balanced. Most importantly, is this pizzeria a travel worthy place to travel long distances to get to; no. But it is well placed for this area of Queens and there are ton of options to order from on the menu that I would have liked more. If they had the clam pie and had it at this size, I'd prefer it more. And if my gastritis would go away please, their regular looks good like the location in Roslyn. To conclude, the Parlor is a good neighborhood pizzeria that has good credentials and good food and you won't go wrong with either ordering out or dining in.
