I was wrapping up my trip from Manhattan and craving some unique Korean pizza combos after a long day riding several subway trains. I am a very picky eater, and my stomach can't handle heavy foods. My group arrived at the restaurant at 5 PM and were immediately welcomed warmly by Crystal and Insun before being seated. My group was able to get a table right away when we arrived but it does get busy fast especially during their peak hours. Following up, both Sam and Insun helped us with our drinks, such as providing water right away and even taking extra time to listen and recommend what beers/sojus would be best for the foods we were ordering, my group's preferences in alcohol tastes, and what would be best in terms of our alcohol tolerance! I originally came for their pizza, but since I was on vacation, my group decided we could all share different foods. I appreciate Sam's time in explaining their dish specialties and answering all the questions I had. I can say for certain this is one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to! My group ordered their rose pasta, aglio pasta, half serving of soy garlic chicken wings, half serving of sweet and spicy chicken wings, half serving of the mahsil pizza & half serving of their BBQ pizza. The pizza wasn't too doughy at all, and I love how the toppings aren't overpowering each other; plus, the pizza was loaded with toppings. Each chicken wing was crispy and had the perfect balance between sweetness and savory. I came for the pizza, but the rose pasta stood out to me the most! The sauce was very rich and like "melted" right in my mouth. I have a small stomach, but I couldn't stop eating everything my group ordered because each dish was comforting in its own way! Our first (and probably last) visit seemed to havd so much promise but was ultimately underwhelming. Two things basically undid them. First, staff didn't check on our table once. Then, even more importantly, the pizza was impossibly cheesy. In fact, there was so (disproportionately) much cheese that it practically overshadowed whatever else toppings there were. We had large golden crust half and half pizza with bulgogi on on half and Korean chive on the other. We liked the crusty crust and what looked and tasted like sweet potato mousse which appeared to have been squeezed around the outer edges inside the crust ring. The silverware and crockery, including the stand to lay the pizza on, were all nice touches, so I wish the service and food matched these other elements much more closely. Due to food restrictions no spicy food was ordered, and limited food with pork. The food overall was good, the decor is nice, but service is only good enough. The food was mostly good with one definitely not recommended. The pizzas were good but a bit too much bread so was more filling than expected. The rose tteotbokki was delicious but the sauce is very heavy so recommend to share. The brisket with bean sprout was a big portion and better than expected. The Parmesan fries was good and loaded with bacon bits. Truffle fries was a good fries but not much on the truffle taste. The soy garlic wings were pretty good but need more sauce. The spam fries was ok, and didn't quite taste like spam. There also have a good selection of alcohol, beer, soju, hard ciders, etc, that is self serve and not overly expensive. We shared a sweet potato crust pizza (half Mahshil half sausage and shrimp) and clam soup as well as soy garlic wings among 4 people and it was plenty of food. We ordered the Parmesan Cheese Fries ($12), Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wings ($27 for 20pcs), and Bulgogi Pizza Cheese Crust ($25 for large). Their parmesan fries comes with a lot of bacon which most places don't have. The pizza was loaded with toppings. It isn't crispy like a NY slice, but has a good soft texture. I think Mahsil has some of the best Korean wings in NY. They're consistently juicy and perfectly balanced with the fried batter. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for Mahsil, our absolute favorite Korean food spot! We've been coming here for a long time, and they've never let us down. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean and well-kept, and most importantly, the food is consistently spot-on and delicious. I always order the Korean fried chicken in spicy soy garlic -- I swear I could eat this all day. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Their cheese tteokbokki is another must-order. The cheese overload pairs so well with the spiciness of the gochujang sauce -- such a satisfying combo. The pizza with sweet potato edges is a family favorite and a fun twist that everyone loves. My son always orders the bibimbap doria, which honestly reminds me so much of Pizza Hut Philippines (just taste it -- IYKYK!). It's comforting, cheesy, and nostalgic. We also enjoy the rose pasta -- creamy, garlicky, and really well done. And the fish cake soup is perfect for colder days, filled with meats and veggies and so comforting. Solid place. Definitely a place you'd go for if you want a pub like food and affair. People are super nice and accommodating. We were the only ones sitting outside and people can out periodically if we needed anything which was great. There have been places ive gone to in similar scenarios and was completely forgotten until someone went in to order/get checks/refill water. Food was so filling and so satisfying. The pizza is reminiscent of pizza I've gotten in east Asia. If you come in thinking typical NY pizza, better go to the other pizza joints around because you'd be disappointed. These were more over-the-top and i love it. They are also very filling, cheesy and plenty of toppings. The corn tastes like the cheese corn in KBBQs and chives def cuts through the amount of cheese they put. I can usually eat an entire large NY pizza pie, but these were so loaded, I could only eat half. And the large pizzas here equate to a medium pizza anywhere else. We also got hamburg steak which we didn't realize came in twos. However we already filled up with the pizza that we barely touched it. Tho even then they were pretty solid and juicy patties. This was my second visit to this restaurant, and I returned because my first experience left such a lasting impression. I am happy to report that it did not disappoint..again. The service was once again exceptional. The wait staff were attentive, efficient, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. One particular server stood out; she appeared to be the tallest of the three women working that night and carried herself with the poise and awareness of a manager (if she happens to not be one). Unfortunately, I never caught her name, but she was incredibly cordial and offered thoughtful recommendations, way above and beyond what was being expected What stood out the most was her attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs. It seemed like next-level thinking in the context of a waitressing/host/restaurant profession. When discussing menu items, she immediately recognized that I preferred no spice and proactively addressed that consideration before I even had to ask. That level of attentiveness is uncommon. Many servers simply record orders as requested, but she demonstrated genuine knowledge of the menu and an ability to think beyond the transaction itself. (This attribute may be expected at some higher end restaurants.) Another example was when I requested that scallions and other greens be omitted from a dish. She immediately pointed out that other vegetables might still be present in the soup (from the base) and wanted to ensure there would be no concerns. While allergies were not my issue, I greatly appreciated the care she took to communicate clearly and avoid assumptions. Throughout the meal, she volunteered additional information about various dishes as a precaution, before we even asked (nor maybe even thought of asking). That level of professionalism and attention to detail elevates the entire dining experience. I know this was such a minor detail to bring up but the reason why I am calling this out is about the "experience", once again. Many of my past reviews were not just about how good food is (or the complaints) - but how representatives of an establishment become the core meaning of "dining". Yes, food is important, but the human element and interactions are also key. (who knows - pretty soon AI robots will be taking our orders, right!) Therefore, recognizing positive, unique and deserving aspects of a restaurant is just as crucial as the food output. Equally impressive was how the staff managed what appeared to be a very busy evening. The restaurant was packed, takeout orders especially the pizza boxes were stacked and in a line formation, waiting for pickup, and delivery guys seemed to be coming and going nonstop. Yet despite the pace, the team never appeared overwhelmed. They balanced table turnover efficiently while continuing to provide thoughtful and attentive service. It is rare to see that combination executed so well. Their efforts certainly did not go unnoticed, and we happily tipped above 18%!! The atmosphere is energetic and fun. With multiple screens playing nonstop K-pop music videos ALL NIGHT long (and I'm not into that genre), yet the restaurant feels lively and vibrant, almost like a weekend bar. Yet somehow it still maintains a family-friendly environment that welcomes diners of all ages. The crowd was diverse, and the restaurant buzzed with activity throughout the night. Now... the food spoke for itself. Nearly every dish we ordered showcased quality ingredients and bold, satisfying flavors. Even the fried items were executed remarkably well. The fries, for example, arrived perfectly cooked - golden but not burnt, crisp, and piping hot, with steam still visibly rising despite the dim evening lighting. Cutest restaurant in Murray Hill with amazing lighting. A huge drink selection. My partner and I ordered three items and they were all delicious. We ordered a medium classic potato pizza, crispy boneless fried chicken, and a mussel soup. The potato pizza was good. Very cheesy, but i would probably try out another flavor next time since it wasn't mind blowing, very standard. Mussel udon soup was amazing in this cold NYC weather, warmed me up. They are not stingy with their mussels... I couldn't even count. The broth was flavorful and aromatic. Boneless fried chicken was so good, tender and juicy. The fried corn balls sounded good but there wasn't anything special to them (probably would prefer cheese corn over this). The pizza was also good. The sweet potato ended up being puree that they piped along the crust, not the crust being made out of sweet potato which I was expecting. The fried chicken was delicious. The service was a little slow as we waited a long time for our check or dishes to be cleared. The food came out fast. I was looking for a nice Korean pizza spot and this one had everything I could ask for. Off the end of the 7 (with a bit of a walk) in Flushing, Mahsil had amazing service that is dog friendly (if you sit outside) we got the Cajun fries that came with this sweet molasses like dipping sauce - wasn't a fan favorite but I really enjoyed this one! Then th fried chicken we got the half and half drumsticks for soy garlic and the sweet and spicy and they were both really delicious, juicy, and sweet! The size of the drumsticks really made my moneys worth! And for the Korean pizzas we got the half and half as well - the Mahsil and the potato - with the golden crust which was my favorite part of it. I came on a Monday as we were looking for a quick lunch spot before having to pick the kids up from school. We did no research prior to sitting down and had no idea what to order. We opted for a pizza, some wings and fried calamari. The vibes of the place gives off a chill drinking spot. It looks like you can grab beers yourself from the fridges. Each marked with prices ranging $6+. The calamari was our least favorite due to the chewy rubber texture. The batter was really good though, just way too rubbery. We had a fairly solid experience at Mahsil. They have plenty of choices and their Korean-style pizza menu is impressive. We went with the sweet potato crust for our BBQ Chicken Pizza, which does come with a cheese crust too. Definitely eat this as soon as the pizza comes out piping hot for the best experience! The sweet potato nuggets were fine. I do wish it was a lighter batter, but that's my preference. It does need some sort of better sauce that pairs with it, and ketchup is not the one. Seriously, this one little swap here will make this appetizer far more worth ordering for the table. The rose pasta was tasty as well, with plenty of shrimp (even some shrimp heads for people who believe in sucking the juices out of them). I didn't try the hamburger steak as it had pork in it, but was interesting to see they came with two types of sauces. I'd get this every time if they had a 100% beef version, and I wouldn't mind less meat if it means better quality. The food came out pretty quickly and I like that you're able to just grab a drink from the coolers they have. We tried the Mahsil pizza, calamari fries, takoyaki and half and half 10 piece wings (soy garlic and red hot). The pizza was very good, I liked the sweet potatoes - salty and sweet. The crust was cheesy and the toppings were delicious. The takoyaki was solid - nothing special but still good! The wings were fried nicely, I enjoyed both of the flavors I got. Came here over the weekend for lunch and we got the combo special. We could pick a pizza, a pasta, along with a beer of our choice. A great deal especially if you are a group of 2 as it is just enough food. Service was quick and efficient as it was still pretty empty when we got there. I really liked how you can pick out your own beer from the fridges, feels unique. The best thing was the rose pasta and it was cooked perfectly al dente. The Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken (Half) was good but didn't standard out to me (wasn't super juicy). The Hawaiian Pizza was so good I could have probably finished the whole medium pizza if I didn't also eat the chicken. The crust tasted like a dessert but wasn't too sweet. One of my favorite places in Murray Hill! The employees are always so friendly and attentive. This is a great place for a night out with friends, and the music isn't too loud either. My favorite is their Sausage and Shrimp Pizza with Cheese Crust. The crust is chewy with the perfect thickness, and it has a beautiful balance of savory and sweet from the seasoned sausage and shrimp and drizzle of their sweet sauce. Their Fried Gizzards are also delicious and very garlicky. The Oven Rice Kimchi Doria with Alfredo Sauce was very creamy and rich but slightly too heavy. Overall, a hidden gem with really great food. I highly recommend trying their assortment of pizzas where you can choose the style of crust too (cheese or sweet potato-filled). The wings were pretty straightforward, no complaints. The rose shrimp pasta was easily the highlight. Rich, creamy, and full of umami. We even found ourselves dipping pizza crust into the sauce. Korean-style pizza?!? You gotta try it here! As an avid pizza lover, when I first heard about this place, it was definitely an establishment I needed to come visit! I like the atmosphere in when I came inside, it is very welcoming and staff was very nice. I went to try a variety of food on the menu and started with the crispy cheese balls which were recommended. They are prepared in a way inspired by mochi, which this ended up being a chewy texture, which catches you off guard if you not familiar with this appetizer. However, the texture went well with the cheese flavor and it is definitely something I would get again with how different it is! I was also able to try the Jumbo Prawn Rose Pasta, which in a combination tomato/white sauce. I did like this pasta as the sauce was not too overwhelming. It is very saucy and the taste did complement the prawns well. The star of the show was definitely the pizza! I got the Golden Crust Sweet Potato Pizza where I had half corn and half gorgonzola. The texture is definitely unique to a pizza, as you may think it is crispier by looking at it, but it is more on the chewy side as well. The use of sweet potato gives a slight sweet flavor, but you still experience the savoriness of the pizza itself with the toppings. Well when I walked in on a Friday trying to order their happy hour specials, I was told it's only Mon-Thurs. Again they casually just pointed to the wall. Well I feel like they were just baiting people to come in thinking there was happy hour when there isn't. Another note, there is a sign states they will seat only 3 people or more at the booths. HOWEVER, I do see them seating single diners there also. The food doesn't seem to be as good as before also. Potato Pizza: Good, but nothing revolutionary. I would try their other pizzas that are more imaginative. Bulgogi Quesadilla: Bulgogi was soft and sweet. The quesadilla also held its structure well which was impressive. Probably my favorite out of everything. I would recommend doing family style here. They have a lot of shareables and the huge portions would be a lot for one person. Service was a little slow but there were 2-3 servers at the start of our dinner and only 1 by the end. Finally adding a revie after being here a handful of times with family and bringing friends here for drinks. The service is always amazing, they are always checking up on us and making sure if everything is great and if more more drinks are needed. We love the draft selections and how we are able to order a sampler flight. They also have fridges full of different beers you can grab yourself. Fries are always a good choice when it comes to original or Cajun but those Parmesan ones are not it for me. I guess it's their own take but it didn't taste good with their homemade Parmesan cheese sauce. Our go to pizza is the Mahsil one which has everything on it and we choose cheese in the crust. It gets packed on Friday nights so come early, I'm sure weekends is the same too. read more

Food: Food is excellent here! Both pizzas were delicious. The sweet potato around the crust adds a nice sweetness. Pizzas were made fresh and served hot. The spicy rice cakes are on the spicier side so it's perfect if you can tolerate spice. Service: Service was good and staff is friendly. Ambiance: Restaurant is spacious and good for both small and large groups. Their air conditioning was not working well so it was uncomfortably hot on a summer day, but it likely just happened to not work well when we were there. Great place for Korean pizza! Come try this if you haven't already! The kimchi fries were very potato-y and had a nice sweet/spicy taste along with the sauce. The Gorgonzola pizza with sweet potato adds a fragrant blue cheesiness to the mozzarella cheese, the crust has some cheddar cheese baked onto it, and the rice cake balls give variety to the texture. The sweet potato puree adds a mild sweet element. The bulgogi pizza with cheese crust is like a supreme pizza due to the bell peppers, which I felt overshadowed the bulgogi in flavor. The bulgogi was mildly sweet but forgettable... The string cheese in the crust was fluffy and what you would expect. The sweet and spicy wings were well coated, sticky and flavorful. The soy garlic wings were thin and crispy, but not very soy or garlicky. We came right as they opened at 12pm, so while the service was friendly, they were busy with the entire restaurant, so be prepared to wait a bit. read more

We were sat by the door so it was a bit chilly even though we weren't seated outside. It took a while for us to be helped and given a seat, even longer for us to be given water. One of the girls would see us and just look away to avoid needing to help us. Food took a while to come. A cockroach appeared by the table next to us and we flagged it. Staff was too scared to kill it so it took a while and a customer had to come in to help kill it. Everyone was just standing up and it turned into a big scene when everything could've been resolved quickly. We asked to change seats into the booth when a table left. That's mainly why I gave it a 3 because otherwise the food was good. We ordered the calamari fries, the rose pasta, soy garlic (half spicy) wings, and clam soup. The food was super good and i've never seen squid ink calamari fries. The spicy soy garlic wings were really spicy and the hot clam soup didn't help.
