We met on a little league field many moons ago , and coached together. (If you ever want to learn about a person , coach LL with them) I witnessed patience, good work ethic, honestly, play fair, and teamwork along with an amazing ability to relate to our LL'ers, Fast forward to the present Covid knocked us all for a loop, and I was very remiss about caring for my teeth during and after that time. After a bit too long , it was time to see my old friend Dr Dave. From the momet I walked into the office and was greeted by Michelle and her staff , a calming feeling started to become present. The leopard didnt change his spots , Dr Dave explained what needed to be done and how best to do it. He laid out a game plan and he would be right there to coach me through it.(Some things never change) Lets be honest , going to the dentist may not be one of your favorite things to do , BUT when you do have to , Dr Sabourin and his team in my opoinion is the best choice you can make. So now I have MISSED the free Whitening that's included within the 5000 because their products have stained my teeth. ALSO My GAP IS BACK and now they are requesting 4000 to simply FINISH the process that we started.. I FEEL SCAMMED. I wouldn't recommend going here. I had to pay for a consult today and now I have to pay to have my teeth/bonding fixed. The bonding job that The Shores Dental did was a botched job. Most were closed, a few took messages, but no one could see me - until this office called me back within 20 minutes. Not only did the dentist offer to stay late so I could drive an hour to get there, but the entire team - Crystal at the front desk and Kim who took my x-rays and assisted in the work - was incredibly warm, kind, and accommodating. They welcomed me in with genuine care and empathy when I was in a lot of pain and feeling panicked. It was clear that the focus had shifted from preventive care to aggressive upselling. Concerned by the sudden change in my treatment plan and unsure of the validity of their recommendations, I decided to seek a second opinion at a different dental office. The feedback I received there was completely different -- there was no indication of the issues previously mentioned, and none of the suggested treatments were deemed necessary. Another point worth noting: while patients are warned they will be charged for missing an appointment, the same level of accountability doesn't seem to apply to the office -- I waited nearly 30 minutes past my scheduled time many times before being seen. That lack of consideration, combined with questionable treatment practices, was enough to lose my trust. I will not be returning to this office. I encourage anyone considering treatment here to always get a second opinion before agreeing to any additional procedures. Be cautious of high-pressure tactics disguised as urgent care.
