Tables are ridiculously wobbly, out of numerous items. Very disappointed after our family met here for early Christmas celebration.

We came to the Schnitzel Haus early on a Sunday evening, barely after 5:00, and the place was packed. We had to wait at the bar for our table. When we sat down at our table, the server brought over delicious fresh bread while we waited for our starter and entrees to come. Our server was wonderful and friendly. We started with an order of cevapi, which are Balkan style sausages. They were pretty good, but not the best we've had. What made them better was the vegetable spread that came with the cevapi, paired with the fresh bread at the table. For our entrees, we ordered the jager schnitzel, the Puten schnitzel, the Wiener schnitzel, and the creamy garlic soup. The garlic soup was the best. The schnitzels were good, but not overly flavorful and very heavy. The puten schnitzel comes with a fairly large side salad and the schnitzel is topped with potato pancakes that are topped with a slice of tomato and cheese. Huge portion, (but very little apple sauce or sour cream to go with the huge potato pancakes). The portion was so big, I brought more than half of the schnitzel home. We ordered the spatzle and French fries with the jager schnitzel- again okay and very heavy. The schnitzels would be super for anyone who is looking for some comfort food. Next time we come we'll definitely try to find some lighter options. read more

On a cold day in Ohio o we found this place while driving down the street. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. The restaurant was warm and the food sounded delicious. I had the goulash which was hearty and delicious just as expected. My husband had one of the specials which was corned beef topped with a potato pancake and he was quite content as well. The service was a quick. The restaurant was clean ass well as the restroom. There were a quite a few people in the room who were addressed by name so I can only assume the establishment has quite a few regulars. read more

I'm addicted to the food and beer here. I keep going back. It's right around the corner from my house! We weren't sure where to meet my folks for dinner, so they pulled in the parking lot and asked us to meet them at Das Schnitzel Haus (again). I ordered my favorite Wiener Schnitzel with mushrooms, sauerkraut, and red cabbage. We had the same ultra-smiley-friendly waitress as last time and she even remembered us. I tried a special imported German beer that she simply called "dunkel" or dark, but she did not say what kind it was. It was an unfiltered beer that might have been of the Wit (wheat) variety. Wife, daughter and I stopped here for supper yesterday. We ordered sauerkraut balls and our drinks. Waitress came out with our drinks then took our dinner orders. After 20 plus minutes passed the waitress brought out our dinner salads. Then within 5 minutes our dinners showed up. My daughter asked about the sauerkraut balls and the waitress stated their was sauerkraut ball up but the didn't know which table they were for. So in a matter of 5 minutes we had our appetizer, dinner salads and dinner all at once. Poor service. Now on to the actual meals. Dinner salad rather small with very little dressing. I ordered the Bohemian schnitzel which was very dry. Not tasty at all. Daughter ordered the pork schnitzel with peppers. She said it was also dry. Wife got the chicken paprikash . That was very tasty. I tried that. Now a couple observations. The bread plates had some sort of pink specs on them I wiped off. With the drinks consisting of two soft drinks and my water, 3 meals and one appetizer this came out to over $90.00. Add the tip of course and you're over $100.00. I would love to give a mom and pop restaurant a higher rating but I think this is fair. read more

Just passing through - traveling from Texas and my Go To choice for years has been Sokolowski's University - love their Polish food. I decided to try something different and came here to Das Schnitzel straight from the airport. WOW this is Awesome - I'm eating KETO these days so the Wurst plate was perfect! Great staff, service and I resisted the bread they bring to the table ugggg I overheard another table saying that was the best bread in Cleveland! They have a great German Draft Beer selection! I tried the Beef goulash soup I didn't get a pic of the soup - delicious! My only criticism No WiFi - just enjoy the German music . read more

We visited with a group of 8 on a very busy Sunday evening, and the house was full. The only place to seat us was the heated patio in November. We had our doubts on this first time visit and we thought we had procured a reservations 2 days prior but there was no mention of this in their "books". When our party arrived, the host Matthias bent over backwards to accommodate us and was very attentive to our dinner and drink requests. You can tell he was being gracious and thorough. The food was excellent, well proportions and authentic made to order German food and the price was just right. What started out as a skeptical experience ended up being a great evening and it was do to attentive hosting, good food, and going the extra to make our evening best. Dined at the restaurant this evening. very disappointed in the preparation of my dish and the response that was provided by the server and co-owner. The schnitzel was not cooked appropriately. When the veal was brought to the table it did not appear to be cooked long enough or in hot enough oil. I asked the server to have it fried similar to my friends. He immediately brought back another piece of veal that was just the same. I said I don't see a difference and he said it was crispy enough. I was asked if they could try for a third time and I declined. The owner said there would be no charge for the dish, however, I was charged. in order to prevent further embarrassment for my friends I just paid the bill and left. not a good experience. read more

On Saturday, December 19, 2020, my family and I went to Das Schnitzel Haus on Pearl Road in Parma OH for the first time. None of us had much experience with the menu but our server Rachel was extremely helpful. She helped us with menu items. Her service with drinks, appetizers, and meals was very quick. Our glasses never ran dry, she was on it. The food was delicious and all of us spoke about how good the food was. Rachel was patent with us and took excellent care of us. She even helped with a family picture and got us a good background. All of us kept talking about how great Rachel was. I wanted to let you know that while the food was great, Rachel made our evening. Once upon a time in Pennsylvania, I stumbled into a little German restaurant that had the BEST SOUP I had ever had. I don't know if Germans are known for their soup, but I had longed for this soup for a while. My boyfriend at the time was bumming one day and German food is his favorite, so I took him here. And they have soup and schnitzel and pierogis and it's all pretty great. I loved their sausage platter and the popping mustard (my inner child is delighted by popping mustard for some reason). The only thing I didn't like was the spaetzle, which I never like anywhere, so no biggie. If you'd like German food, come. If you've never had it, try something new! read more

I have the impression that the food is rewarmed because it appeared that the "cooks" working in the kitchen were microwaving everything except the sauerkraut balls. The sauerkraut balls were very good but everything else was was not up to my expectations which are based upon experiences in many German restaurants in the USA and Germany. The Sauerbraten did not have any depth of flavor. We ordered Black Forest Torte and German Chocolate Cake to go and ended up discarding both because it had a taste and odor and that sogginess that comes from keeping in the refrigerator for too long. At $10 each it was expensive food for the trash can. Service was very good but there was only one other table occupied so I cannot say how service is during busy times. read more

Disappointed. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday and it was a little busy, but not that busy for a Friday. Our server (who we could tell really wasn't a server) waited on us and asked for drinks, but never provided a drink menu. Thankfully we ended up choosing well, but guessing games are not my forte. We ordered and since we were seated directly in front of the kitchen, then we ended up watching about 5-6 different servers look at our food and ticket and walk away. It took about 20-25 minutes for us to actually get our food and it took one of the servers that looked at our ticket 2-3 times to finally take pity on us and serve us. The food was cold obviously and as soon as we saw our server again we just asked for a check. This was our first and most likely only time going and I'm definitely disappointed. The beer was great and I think the food would've been fantastic if it was warm, but it's not worth the half hour drive for us to try this place again. Also, we were planning on ordering more drinks and a dessert, but after how long it took for someone to finally serve us our food after looking at it for so long then we were done. read more
