When the Brew Kettle had their production here, it was never open to the public. Now, SchnitzAle makes their beer here and has created a really cozy space. The food options are limited, but delicious! The beer speaks for itself, of course. Lots of choices to please anybody! Highly recommended!

Beautiful facility hosting many special events and serving their membership. We went to "Fasching"…read moreevent to celebrate Mardis Gras German style. Full bar offering authentic German brews as well as domestic beers. Food was available for purchase. I had the Jambalaya over rice, spicy Cajun sausage with peppers and Cajun sauce (no shellfish). Red beans & rice were spicy in a rich Creole sauce served over rice pilaf. My partner had the Cajun Schnitzel sandwich. Traditional Schnitzel with a low country flare. Lots of entertainment all night. Circus acts, balloons and beads, of course. Music and skits. All a really fun family event.

We enjoyed the various music and all had a good time, but one thing spoiled the fun. As a group who enjoys "good" beer, we always make a point of ordering whatever the German beer is on tap. Well holy leader-hosen, this year the Pitchers were $25.00 bucks. We were together until closing and Saturday was hot, so we probably went through 6 or 7 pitchers. At various times throughout our visit we would heard comments about the beer being over-priced. We heard even more comments about beer prices when standing in line. I must say no one DIS-agreed. While the food has to be prepared, set out, and served, beer just needs to be poured. No one minds paying more for a beer when they go out and we expect it, but we just felt $25 for a pitcher of beer was a bit of a ripoff. The domestic beer (LaBatts Light, really ?), wasn't much cheaper at $22 bucks a pitcher. Sorry, but our group agreed we probably won't be back next year.

We had dinner there on 5/16/26 and it was just marvelous. I had the Schnitzel Von Schwein (Pork…read moreSchnitzel) with mashed potatoes & gravy with a side of garlic green beans and my boyfriend had the Weiner Schnitzel with fries and sauerkraut. Both were excellent as well as the bread (served warm) & butter. The only problem I had was I ordered the cherry strudel to go and didn't take a good look at it. When I got home, they must have warmed it because it was soggy and moist instead of crispy AND the top was burnt. Certainly NOT worth the $7/slice. Not sure, but I think I counted MAYBE 3 cherries that were smooshed and looked like the cherries forgot to be added and it was so thin too. Not anything I would imagine strudel to look like, AND it was nothing like the picture on the menu. So be warned, if you go there for dinner, food is well worth the price but please, stay away from the strudel dessert. Take a chance and go with something else.

I'm pretty sure I misspelled that, but I think you get the idea. It's those small little pieces of cooked dough which are wonderful in the stuffed cabbage sauce. Our waiter was quite nice as well as attentive. His name was Bohdan K. And he was very attentive and the place was busy on a Sunday

We have been coming to Brew Kettle for years since we live in the area, and honestly we love…read moreeverything on the menu. We've never had a bad experience, so I finally decided it was time to leave a review. One of my family's favorite appetizers is the fried green beans, we order them almost every visit. My youngest son always gets the poutine topped with Wisconsin white cheese curds, house smoked brisket, savory brown gravy, and scallions. It's one of his absolute favorites. This past visit I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to try the special lasagna soup and it was excellent. It genuinely tasted just like lasagna in soup form and was perfect comfort food. My oldest son ordered the Smokehouse Pulled Pork sandwich with hickory smoked pulled pork, house BBQ sauce, pickles, and served on a challah bun with fries and house slaw. My husband went with the chef's special smash burger, which he really enjoyed as well. The food is consistently good, portions are generous, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Definitely one of our go-to spots in the area.

My review of my wine experience at Your Wine Cellar is in a separate review, but while trying and making our wine, we ordered from The Brew Kettle's menu of pretty basic, but reasonably priced bar food. Our server was the incredible Meg, who was also the leader of our wine making event with Your Wine Spot. In an attempt to be somewhat healthy, I got the grilled chicken buffalo wrap with light sauce ($14) and fries. Yeah, I caved with fries. They were pretty good but not worth the extra hour of working out Ill have to do tonight! Pretty crispy though but I wish they were seasoned. I also wish they still had sweet potato fries on the menu!! Please bring these back! *crying emoji* My wrap was pretty good, at least at the price point. I wish it was filled with more chicken. The chicken was great! I wouldn't mind having food from here again, although I wouldn't recommend making a special trip just to eat here. My friend's brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing though! We all tried a bite of it and moaned in pleasure!! Haha

We almost didn't come here bc it felt like too much of a schlep from where we were staying downtown…read morebut it was definitely worth the trek. It's really not that far I'm being dramatic it's like max 13 min from the center by car. Anyways it is literally the cutest place inside. Dimly lit by table-side antique sconces and Christmas lights in the bar with wooden booths and chairs. Very eclectic. This felt like a special place the minute we set foot inside. The beer menu is something else you not only wouldn't find in a typical restaurant but even for a beer place. Very Belgian German vibes. I didn't even get to the best part yet believe it or not. They are very vegan and vegetarian friendly. So many things on their menu can be made vegetarian or vegan. Like things I've never seen before like TOFU SCHNITZEL. Holy shit. But then you think about it and are like why have I never seen this before? It can't be that hard? They also have a meat free version of the allegedly local favorite sauerkraut balls which was an absolute must. There were just so many things we wanted it was hard to choose. Other than the balls, I was very interested in the vegan sausage and the Reuben (on literal potato pancakes) that can be made vegetarian or vegan without the corned beef but ultimately could not pass on the tofu schnitzel which came with a starchy side (I went with the spätzle obviously) and a veggie side (I went with the kraut.. obviously) and GF the Reuben with a side of fries. To take home for later, the spätzle appetizer and the pretzel. We also ordered beers, needless to say. I tried a cider that was incredible. One of the best ciders I've ever had. Everything was incredible. The kraut balls, actually spicy kraut balls per their menu, were so good. I was bummed there were only 4. I feel like there should be at least 6. I'll pay more. The dipping sauces were really good too. One was a curry ketchup type thing and the other was a cheese that was fabulous. Tofu schnitzel was breaded to perfection with a very crispy exterior. They used a nice, thic slab of tofu. Given the schnitzelness of it they probably could have gotten away with something thinner. They had a mushroom gravy which was nice for the vegans. The kraut was typical kraut. The spätzle slapped. I love those little pasta dumpling dough pieces. What a nice texture. GF's fries were salted perfectly and crisp. The pretzel was softer and lighter than usual. The cheese spätzle was better than sex, earth shattering ecstasy. So yeah it was pretty good.

Real old-school bar vibe. Really liked it. Lots of wood paneling and vintage stuff on the wall. Great German beer selection and I had a draft I never had before. Really good. Ordered 'build your own Schnitzel'. Picked the veal, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Had the veal topped with 'Oscar', crabmeat and asparagus. Delicious...veal was crispy and tender, sauerkraut had the right amount of bite and mashed potatoes were solid enough. Topped with paprika gravy. Food was very good. All in all a really good place. Food was great, service was fine, maybe a little cold and not particularly friendly, but good enough. I am new to neighborhood but this is the kind of place I could see myself coming to often.
