Had the most unpleasant experience getting dip powder here. The manager did my nails, and it was anything but relaxing. From the start, she made it clear she didn't want to be doing my nails--sighing loudly and slamming tools down throughout the appointment. She was extremely rough, gripping my hands too tightly and flipping them aggressively while filing. At one point, she didn't like how I had positioned my arm, so she grabbed it and forcefully tossed it onto the armrest. Instead of just asking me to relax a finger, she would look up and glare at me. On top of the unprofessional behavior, the manicure itself was disappointing and definitely not worth the $65. The dip color is uneven, doesn't fully cover my nails, and my cuticles were poorly done. There are even specks of powder left on some nails. Overall, a frustrating and uncomfortable experience that I would not recommend. read more

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I tend to be picky when getting my nails done but they were very receptive. Really disappointing experience overall because when we were greeted by the kind and wonderful woman at the desk (Jolene, Joann maybe?) I had high hopes! However, the two women who switched off doing my nails made it unpleasant. I asked if she could trim my cuticles and was told to "stop asking questions". They didn't trim my natural nails, clean underneath my nails or even wash my hands. The kicker was when I asked "hi! can we clean up under my nails a little?" (Note the absolutely excessive amount of gel adhesive... I was told "that's just gel it's not a problem" . I mean it kind of is for a $100 manicure.... Disappointing and won't be going back. Going to clean up my nails myself tonight once I get home. Justice for my girl Jo tbh she deserves better coworkers!! read more

Nail techs are quick and friendly, there was a bit of disorganization with scheduling appointments and tending to which customer in order. Many of the customers are very entitled and give the nail techs a hard time - hopefully they can calm themselves down and treat the salon employees with more respect and grace. read more

Never going back! Admittedly I'm new to the gel world. Had a few times and always fabulous! This place didn't carry any brands I knew or colors I recognized. "I know, I know" was uttered no less than 20 times. The final look is not at all what I wanted. Plus it was poorly done and unsafe. The electric filing went way to deep. It hurt a number of times. As did the UV light bc of the aggressive filing. Asked for sheer, which I had before and I have baby pink fake looking nails. Poor painting leaves spots without color, every mail is a different length and one nail broke the next day!!!! Guessing I have to stay away from gels for a while bc nails are so unhealthy. Had the most healthy nails before. Thick, long and strong. Now, imagining under these gels I have barely anything left. Criminal and irresponsible. Cannot say more strongly that I will never go back. read more

I was asked over and over again where I live and where I work. I didn't hear anyone else being asked this. This was hands down the worst nail experience of all time. They did my toes nails crooked I had to get them redone then the nails were gel x apres extentions were half assed done and I paid $300 for everything. The worst experience I was trying to treat myself now I just want to cry and feel robbed. And they had the nerve to ask me who did my nails before like they do a better job what a joke. Frequent up-charging for increasingly torn and broken nails caused by their aggressive interventions, especially removal of gel polish. They prioritize speed, rather than gentleness or patience, over-relying on mechanical tools that damage nail beds. While their "painted" nails may superficially look fine, the longer term consequences are shocking. After several months of spending more and more to repair damage they inflicted, I spent many months to grow out nails to any facsimile of their original health. There are far better salons even nearby in the Chelsea neighborhood which provide excellent service and quality. read more

Do NOT come here for waxing. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND TIME. Choi did a Brazilian wax on me and did the worst job I have ever gotten - there are patches left that she did not get and refused to remove because she didn't "have time". An incredibly messy job, she also kept adding additional cost to the service for areas that come included in the whole "brazilian" service standard at other salons. Walked away $100 with a terrible mess. Then, I felt pressured by the merchant to tip her for the bad job, as she directed me to the ATM IN THEIR SALON. Lucy did a great job on my feet, gave an awesome leg massage. Lucy was accommodating and very attentive. While I dried my toes, another employee suggested a 10 min massage for $15, and I thought "Sure! Why the hell not?" Omaigaa she was great, you don't know how much you need a massage until after you have one. I wish I had taken down her name. I always get anxiety when it comes to putting sneakers on after having my toes done lol, so I was dreading having to leave. Lucy came right away and helped me with the saran wrap deal and putting socks and shoes on. Pedi came out to about $30, which is more than I usually pay, but it was totally worth it. Atmosphere is really nice, pedi stations in the back are great for a group of friends. The color selection was adequate but smaller than I've seen at other salons. The "final product" - meaning the consistency of the polish on the nails, not missing spots, no spill over on my toes, etc. was very good. However, the experience itself was lacking. Zero, and I do mean zero, foot or calf massage. not even a weak one. Also, virtually no scrub on the heels. I don't have much in terms of callouses, but it is pretty typical that I'll get some sort of pumice or abrasive work to soften them up just a bit. My tech (I think Steven, but I could be remembering wrong) put some gel on a paddle and gave about two swipes back and forth with zero pressure and that was it. As I have probably mentioned before on other salon reviews, my pedi experience is as much (if not more) about the foot/calf treatment as it is about the polish. For that reason, this is a 3 star establishment, perhaps even a 3-minus considering that they are priced on the high side for being just a nail salon. read more

Go ahead and look at them all! Note: the display rotates. So all you have to do is stand, spin and select your color. - I chose a dashing diva original blue color called "box seats." Amazing color. I received compliments from friends, coworkers and total strangers on the subway about the color for over a week following my visit. - If you have a choice - ask for MinJee. She was bubbly and super sweet and just plain awesome. - The rest of the staff was kind and held my bag as I stepped down from the pedicure platform and over to the drying station. - The decor was modern and comfortable and pink! read more

I recently moved to West Chelsea and I have yet to find a nail place that I like. When it came to customer service, everyone was very friendly and welcoming at Dashing Divas. When it came to quality of services, I was pretty disappointed. I came for a gel manicure for a wedding. My nails look lumpy, she did not clean underneath my nails or clean up around my nail beds, and she didn't paint up to my skin at the nail bed so it already looks grown out. On top of that, it cost $40.76 which is extremely overpriced to me for the quality of the service. I wouldn't go back. read more

She had to redo my thumb 3 (after I brought it to her attention, not after she took time to check) times and didn't even bother to check the others. Now 3 days later one has already cracked. I'm from out of town so I believe they should refund my card. If so, I would happily amend this review. I thought this place was great when i visited a couple months ago, but i guess i didnt truly appreciate it until my unpleasant experience at Trevi Nails. I took for granted that they had a girl at the front desk who takes the calls and appointments. Im not sure if its the same girl every time but this girls was really polite and especially helpful with my coat and other winter crap at the end of my visit. This place is very clean and very pink and that there is a huuuge selection of nail polish. The seats all look brand new and there are tv's to stare at. The service is aweeesome! nevermind if the manicurist doesnt speak english, she makes up for it in talent. The massages were relaxing and my toes and nails came out perfect. I walked away feeling refreshed and grateful for service that was way more than i expected. This place makes all other salons seem mediocre read more
