I've gone to this nail salon a few times now, and it always leaves me feeling... disappointed. I really wanted to like it since it's so close to me but the nails never come out right. They're thick and chunky-looking despite all the filing down they do; my cousins would always point it out and my co-worker (who also went there a few times) said the same. It's embarrassing (especially when you have to wear them for the next two weeks). I also used to to pedicures here, and they honestly would come out nice; HOWEVER, for the first time in my life, one of my toe nails developed fungus. I was caught off guard when I saw it and asked why it happened since I had only been going to their business for pedicures (we ended up not painting that one nail and I had to buy medication on Amazon). Take all of this into account when considering their prices. I wouldn't mind paying $100+ dollars for beautiful nails, but these nails just fall short every time. They make the acrylics super thin, which you think would be nice aesthetically, but they way they paint the nail and layer the liquor makes the nails look chunky and ruins the whole point of having thin acrylics. In addition, because the acrylics are so thin, they're prone to breaking easily. A small crack would always appear where my finger ended and the nail began; once the crack continued to travel through the nail horizontally, I would simply rip it off and file it down. This was a common occurrence. Looking past the acrylics, I asked for them to remove my acrylic nails once. Only after my service was done did I find out it cost $25?? Seems a bit much to me, ESPECIALLY when I left with acrylic still on my nails. Overall the place is fine. It's not horrible but it always hurts when I spent so much money and still leave unhappy with how my nails came out. That's why I went there a few times out of convenience and then stopped going back. I'd look somewhere else not in this area. read more

Nathan was superrr patient in helping me figuring out pricing and what the best way was to recreate the reference photo I brought. The team also jumped in to offer their opinions as well. The staff was very kind and the salon was clean. But my technician removed all of my gel manicure with an e-file instead of a file + soak off, thinning out my nails. He also kept hitting my nail bed, causing me to bleed. It took awhile for these cuts to heal, and I had to get builder gel for my next manicure to help strengthen my paper thin nails so they would stop breaking. This was my first time at this salon and I wanted to love it as it's reasonably priced, so I'm super disappointed in my experience. read more

I stopped in as a walk in. I rarely get manicures but wanted an ombré look. Chose dip. The tips were filed so violently I snatched my hand away and two days later my fingers are still sore where they bled in a couple spots. I was not given a choice in how much tip to leave. It was automatically added to the bill. But I saw others asking how to leave a tip so they didn't automatically include tip on everyone's bill. Going here today messed my entire birthday up. I stopped in here quickly because it's so close to my apartment and the place i usually go to, right next door, was too busy for a walk in. first thing, i've never been asked to pay up front for services, including tip! that was really fucking insane as the nail tech was trying to direct how much i tipped. i believe because i only gave a 24% tip that the service was absolutely horrid. she didn't even put enough coats of the nail lacquer on to make it opaque. i could literally see me nail on three different fingers. the edges were absolutely atrocious. she left me to dry and didn't even so much as look up from her phone while playing candy crush to say goodbye. such a waste of money and you'd think their rent would be high enough they'd be more attentive and kind to clients. I stumbled upon it walking around and the hospitality/ customer service have been the best! Leo is my normal nail tech and he has never disappointed me. I use my hands often at work and a lot of times in the past - my nails used to not last but, with Leo- the retention of my nails have been perfect. Definitely recommend him! My feet were barely touched the whole thing lasted 15 minutes and 10 minutes consisted of the woman looking around getting up. I wasn't even mad because I wanted to leave anyway. So, This place use to be called Black Label Nail. They changed their name to Nails Spa and Beyond.. I do not know what happened with that. When they were Black Label Nail Salon, it was much better. There was another woman at the desk. Now there is someone named Ellen and she has an attitude, not really customer service oriented. So Nails Spa and Beyond has a card where they mark it everytime you come and after your 10th time you get a free pedicure. The catch with this card is in order for them to mark it, you HAVE TO PAY CASH! Have you ever heard of something so idiotic? I have not! A lot of people are not walking around with cash. Whether I pay by credit card or cash, they should still mark the card! That was a turn off to me. It doesn't even make sense. That's not good business practice. I felt like I was being ripped off when it came to this card. Pay by Cash Only to get your card stamped... Ridiculous! Now onto the service that I received....So I was there on August 11, 2023. I went for a pedicure and a manicure. The person who did my pedicure and manicure was Norma. She wasn't too friendly and she was just average. I gave her a tip but in hindsight she didn't do anything special. She acted very non-chalant, non-caring and the place is expensive and the service was not worth it! I will not be returning. There was someone there named Cecilia the last time I went there in June. She was really good. I asked Ellen where was Cecilia. Attitude and snappy Ellen didn't even know who I was talking about! I will not be going back to this place and I suggest that you look for another nail salon with better service, more customer service oriented and has a pleasant aura. Go somewhere else!
