The job was really well done, for the first visit (see picture). I was really happy. Second visit, those amazing ladies were not there anymore. There was only one person, so she asked me to wait. The second person showed up after an hour who billed me more than what's written on the store front. In response she told me that the rate is for only pre booking. I paid $48 +tax + tip. The wait can get on the long side on the weekends - up to 30-40 minutes to grab a seat. Nothing that a lap around Gramercy Park can't fix. 5. Relatively clean. It's an affordable nail space, don't come in with top-notch spa expectations. For example, their nail soaks are decorative rocks and effervescent tablets. No probs there but if you want some fancy essential oils, you are looking at the wrong spot. I recommend this spot if you're in the area. As with most nail places, be clear with what you want. I was hopeful to find this lower priced nail salon in the Gramercy area. I always get tips done (usually SNS powder gel). I asked for this at the salon and they persuaded me to try this other type of tip (the clear ones) that goes over your whole nail. I went back and forth with them because I wasn't confident this was what I wanted, but I eventually gave in. They told me this was healthier for the nail and would give a more natural look. They ended up looking okay, but they were a little sharp to the touch which definitely didn't feel natural. What really went wrong is how I realized they were glue. When I tried to have them removed, there was glue on my skin and it was tearing my skin from the nail causing my fingers to bleed. I have never experienced this before. My nails are in the worst shape ever because of these tips. read more

I got a dip powder/SNS manicure, and I asked for chrome on top. My friend and I had to wait nearly an hour despite having an appointment. The nail tech who did my manicure didn't ask me what shape I wanted and immediately just started cutting and filing my nails. The tech re-did the chrome layer multiple times, and ultimately the top coat was so thick, and the chrome didn't even cover my entire nail on a few fingers. I was very disappointed with the manicure, but at this point I'd been at the salon for far too long, so I paid and left (it was $80 including tax and tip for just the dip powder manicure). However, a few days later, nearly all of the nails were lifting at the bottom and two nails chipped, so I went back in to get them fixed. The nail tech removed the chipped dip powder and redid the chipped nails. The nail tech also removed the chrome layer, and they used glue to stick down the parts of the manicure that were lifting. I was disappointed that they didn't just remove the dip powder and redo the nails that were lifting too. I asked the tech if they could fix the nails without using glue and they said "yes" and continued to use glue. At one point, the nail tech accidentally glued my fingers to their fingers. The nail tech also applied a layer of "hard gel" to my nails since they said the dip powder layer was too thin. I don't know what hard gel is, and I didn't even have time to ask that they don't do that before they started applying the gel. I left the salon with glue residue all over my fingers, and an odd layer of clear gel over my nails. The next day, two of the nails chipped, and the day after that (seven days after my original manicure), six of the nails came off. I'm incredibly disappointed in this experience. I felt like the nail techs were not listening to me, and I felt like I couldn't ask for what I wanted. read more

It was $27 for mani/pedi + 10 min hot stone massage + paraffin treatment on your feet. You can't beat this deal! I ended up getting extra 20 minutes massage more. But it was still under $50 for this total pampering spa experience. ;) I LOVE the fact that they are using NEW set of buff, file, callus eliminating tools every time I come here. (For other tools like clippers and metal tools, I don't mind they use them on me after the sanitation with their uv sanitizing machine, but reusing buff and files? i can't take it...) I'm getting married this weekend and got a Groupon for a manicure and pedicure at this place since it was reasonably close to where I work. I called the same week to make an appointment but was told that because they sold so many Groupons they were booked until next week. I explained that my wedding is on Saturday and that the only reason I bought the Groupon was so I could use it before my wedding. The girl on the phone didn't seem very sympathetic and repeated again that I could make an appointment next week. This place is such a great nail salon. I have lived in NYC for over 10 years and I am really tough to please when it comes to my nails. I had a groupon for a shellac mani and regular pedi and was able to make a next day appt. The service was exceptional. I have had a gazillion pedicures in my life and this one has lasted the longest and is completely intact, and I've had about 10 gel manis in the past year, and this one was the most perfect. The staff are really kind and professional and really do an excellent job. If you are unhappy at all, ask to speak to the manager- who is a perfectionist, and she will fix anything. They take their time to do your nails properly. -I ruined my nails when I was trying to pull on my socks and boots. The lady not only helped me put on my boots, she also fixed my nails. -They rub your feet with a hot stone. -You get paraffin treatment for your heels an you also put your hands in some sort of gel like substance. -The ladies here speak Chinese and are very friendly (helps if you can speak Chinese). -Make sure you get a punch card. I've come here twice for a mani/pedi since its only a block from where I live. The salon was clean, their prices were reasonable, and the staff were nice enough. Both my mani and pedi were ok. My only complaints were that when they were trimming my cuticles it hurt (I was waiting for my toes and fingers to start bleeding, it hurt that much) and one of the main reasons I get pedicures are to get rid of the cracks and calluses on the bottom of my feet, but after both pedicures my feet were still cracked scratchy as opposed to smooth. I'm sure I'll go back since its convienient and overall was ok. They are also new, so some of the issue may just be inexperience. read more

So I sort of have a thing against men named Richard because the majority I've met have been absolute assholes but Richard at Spoiled Diva Nail Spa is one of the few exceptions. I walked in one day and he did my nails and gave me a massage and he was excellent at both. So excellent in fact, that I requested him specifically for a pedicure today. I learned that he does a fabulous pedicure as well. Plus, he did something really clever when I wasn't sure which sparkle I wanted to use. He took a piece of paper towel, painted two spots using the color I chose, then put the different sparkle on top so I could see. Besides the above, he's just really nice and so is the salon itself. I had a Groupon for a regular mani-pedi and was able to make a same day appointment. I was serviced by Bao, who was exceptional. He was constantly checking to see if i was comfortable and/or in any pain. In one instance, as he was cuttling my cuticle, the area was sensitive and I barely flinched for him to register my discomfort and stopped immediately. All of his leg/foot/neck massages were based upon pressure points and I left feeling extremely relaxed. Attentive service, everything is new & clean, and the staff is great (yay, Bao!). I purchased a groupon for a shellac mani/pedi. When I arrived, I did not have an appt but they took me anyway. They said the groupon was only for a shellac mani, and a regular pedi. I didn't feel like arguing so I complied and just got a normal pedi. The following people who came in had the same issue as me and DID argue for the shellac pedi, but the salon would not give in. The service was terrible. All in all, I had 4 different people working on me, and stopping to talk, transfer tips to each other, etc. They didn't soak my fingers before starting, and the tool to push my cuticles back was some weird scraper that was scratching my nails. I've had shellac manis before and this was an odd process. One of the workers kept going outside to smoke and the salon kept smelling like cigarettes. Then one massaged the right half of my back, but neglected the left. I normally don't complain (this is the first review I've ever written) but I will definitely not return to this salon. I had a $26 Groupon deal for a Shellac mani & regular pedi. As the expiration date approaching, I called to make an appointment to get them done. They pretty much had only morning appointments left but I was off last Friday so I took the 10AM one. (I was turned off after a couple of appointment time suggestions got rejected and did asked rudely if I was being turned down only because I was going to use a groupon. However, the girl on the phone was super nice and told me just because they were booked up after 3 everyday for the dates I asked. Then I felt ashamed to accuse them.) As I arrived, there was only one customer was doing the shellac mani. I was asked to hand in my Groupon and sat at the massage chair by Ann. She was very friendly and did a decent job on my feet. After that I was serviced by Anna (?) who did my Shellac mani. One thing I did notice that both of them didn't get a fresh, sterile tools from a UV box nor use disposable tools. It was slightly iffy for me but they both did a great job otherwise. Especially my mani, 6 days later, is still perfect except my nail grew :). Anna was very thorough with it and the built-in UV lamp nail desk was awesome. You only need to put your hand in the UV lamp "drawer" instead of the portable ones in many nail salons. When I was led to sit down to dry my toe polishes, I was told to pay $3 for tax. I did that and a big tip. Before I left, the male manicurist, who I believe is the owner, helped me to put on my socks and shoes. It was quite surprising and I felt bad about people kneeing down to help me like that. I'd love to go back to Spoiled Diva, however, the regular prices aren't friendly for my wallet. I definitely would love to go back if they have other deals out! read more

I had a spa pedicure and it was worth every penny- clay mask, sea salt rub, 10 minute massage + hot stones at the end, and a paraffin treatment. While I was getting my gel manicure (also fabulous!)
